The last thing anyone would ever want to worry about when hiring a moving company for a move out of state is their belongings going missing without any explanation and getting the run around from the moving company. Unfortunately this is the case with TransUnion Van Lines and anyone considering using this company should steer clear!

Awful communication. Took about 30 days for belongings to arrive. Two items destroyed, one item lost, and received a substitute ladder.

Like many others, our experience with Transunion has been abysmal. We did not originally contract with them; rather, a broker did. We were picked up August 22, 2020. Our belongings have yet to arrive and it is January 8, 2021. Check the Twitter thread below for the full scope.

TRANS UNION VAN LINES DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMASTANCES, that is the only warning I can give and can't stress it enough purely from my own personal experience with them. THEY ARE TOTAL SCAMMERS. After having this dreadful experience with them, unfortunately I see I am not alone by other reviews I am now seeing, this seems to be their std business practice, how does a company like this stay in business, or employ staff that have no "Customer Service ethics" DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THESE SCAMMERS !

Don't ever use TransUnion Van Lines. Had a pool table shipped and now only 4 legs. They have no idea where the rest of it is. They are not caring at all. DON't EVER USE THEM. Had 8 dining room chairs. Just had them reupholstered and 4 look like they were run over by a truck. IN SPLINTERS!!! Boxes and boxes that are missing and they don't care. Should have researched.

Trans Union was hired to move our personal items from Marina del Rey, California to Naples, Florida. They were 64 boxes in total. The price was fair but the service was atrocious. They finally delivered our things 2 months after loading the truck. They loaded on November 27, 2020 and it was delivered on January 28, 2021. Two items were missing and a number of fragile items were broken. Between the delay, lost items and broken items, I estimated a loss of $2,000-$3,000. They agree to pay me $40. That's right $40. I would not recommend them to my worst enemies. Now for an update - It has been 2 1/2 months later and even the $40 has not been received. This company should be avoided. If Bernie Madoff was alive, I would trust him before I would trust Trans Union. They are a scam.

I called this company to move my things from Los Angeles to Georgia. I initially spoke to Mike who was professional at that time. I told him the items I was moving, my home would be ready on the the 30th and I needed the items at that time. I also told him that they could not come earlier because there would be no place to store them before the 30th. I set up the time and paid the deposit in good faith. I told him what needed to be transported and was told by Mike that I needed 300 cubic feet and I took his word for it since he is in this business and I relied on the "professional". I get a call on Friday, April 17th, the day before pick up to confirm the pick up and spoke to Alex who told me that I needed more than 300 cubic feet which increased my bill to $650 that was not in my budget. I was angry because my description was accurate so Mike being in this business should have known what I needed initially. I then called the company on Monday April 20th and informed them that I was not sure what time I would get my keys on the 30th and asked if the delivery could be done on May 1st instead. Dispatch agreed. The movers get there on April 25th, 5 days before scheduled delivery date so I had to have the items stored at another location and pay another $400 to another company to move my things into my home on May 1st that I paid Transunion Van Lines to do. When I called the company on Monday, April 27th, to complain about what happened and insist that I should be reimbursed, they would not answer my call and NEVER responded to me which was extremely unprofesssional so I was taken advantage of. I also emailed Mike who never responded to me. Upon further discovery, my television was cracked during the move and I had to keep calling them just to get the number to the insurance company for reimbursement. I hope this is a real insurance company because I was only able to make a claim online and not talk to anyone about what happened. I would not recommend this company but if you choose to use them, be very specific about your needs, gets names of everyone you talk to, follow up before you pay out any deposits, inform them about your due dates and reiterate these date with whoever you talk to. Also get the name and number of the insurance company which was not on the contract. This cost me an additional $1000 that was not expected and they never ever called me back to even discuss matter after I called them daily for weeks. Poor customer service, Poor communication and just plain thieves as far as I'm concerned.

As many have testified, worst experience of my life. Short notice move from California to Mississippi. Packup seemed to go well, they wanted a tip afterward which I thought was unprofessional. Fortunately I only had about $20 on me. The came the weeks and weeks of dodging and deferring. Robert fully admitted he was waiting as long as he wanted to get the cheapest price for a truck possible. After reading the fine print on the contract, after 30 working days after the first available delivery date that I gave them on the contract, I told him he's now losing $30 a day every day he's late after that. That kinda woke him up, only took another 10 days after that for delivery. In total 59 days days to deliver. but wait, it gets better. On delivery they will tell you it's either cash or Postal money order to pay your balance BEFORE they will unload .Its in the contract under very fine print but they dont tell you beforehand. They showed up at 8:00 am unannounced on a Saturday and then wanted to charge me $150 an hour to wait for the post office to open. That didn't happen after calling their boss so they were not happy and did a les than stellar job unloading. I had to inventory the boxes as they unloaded or would have been short on unloading. As it was they lost a step ladder and destroyed a couple pieces of furniture, then tried to rushed me so sign off on it all so I wouldn't report the damages. that didn't happen either. They're a shady bunch no doubt about it. Hope you read this BEFORE you hire them.

CROOKS CROOKS CROOKS They quote you a price and then hike it up after they get all your items in the truck and then when it's time to bring your items to you the cost is way higher than what is on your invoice and they want Cash, Zelle or Venmo stay away, do your homework you'll end up paying thousands more than what you thought you would. Also your items don't all make it back to you and if they do they are scratched, broken and not cared for what so ever. (Bad business).
