Barry was referred to me by a former Rug Appraiser. She couldn't say enough about him and said he was extremely trust worthy when it came to "appraising" Persian Rugs. I sent photos first via email and he called me several days later to set up an appointment for a written report and a proper valued appraisal for "today's market value." His location is easily accessible just south of Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood. Plenty of metered parking and his assistant will help you bring in your very "heavy" rugs! XoxoBarry is the nicest guy!!! My hubby and I spoke to him for 20 mins while he educated us on what are the popular types of rugs right now. Post modern, mid century which I find extremely "boring" and trendy. In a few years they will be worthless. He told us to hold onto our Persian rugs. Like the stock market they will go up in value eventually:)! A Persian rug that cost $100,000, 30 or 40 years ago is now worth $25,000. Oy! Not what this Assyrian Princess wanted to hear. Any type of wool rug that is being stored needs to be checked at least once a year since moths will eat them. Nasty buggers!!!*Appraisals are done by Barry. His prices vary according to each rug. *All types of area and large floor rugs are sold here. *Specialty Rug Cleaning only. He does not clean carpets. *I highly recommend Barry if you are interested in getting your rugs appraised, cleaned or covered properly for storage.

Just wanted to share my positive feedback with you in regards to Barry's services. We sent a completely cut-down by-length rug to a couple of places and Barry managed to repair it to a perfect condition, and with all that he kept the original size which was one of the requests.Thank you Barry for your excellent work! Barry and the hard-working staff at Rug Affair have rescued my antique rugs several times when accidentally stained or worn. His knowledge of the designs, country of origin, and age of the rug are superb. Looking for an antique rug new to your home? Fixed up my 70 year old rug from the Middle East perfectly! They wore their masks and were so sweet. If I have another rug that needs cleaning I will definitely go here again!

I had the great good fortune to work with the owner, Barry, who helped sell three of my family's Persian rugs. Not only did he get us great value for each one, he was a gentleman and a straight shooter. I highly recommend Antique Rug Co., whether you're looking to sell or purchase a beautiful rug.

I originally visited The Rug Affair in connection with the cleaning of a Navajo Rug which was accomplished with a fair price and a nice cleaning. When I mentioned I had been looking for a new rug to pair with another living room rug, both Barry and Kris went to work qualifying me for color and pattern. Within a short time, rugs were placed on the floor--like they could read my mind--and 2 rugs filled the bill. I was allowed to have them placed in my home on consignment, and within a couple of days I made a decision to purchase the rug pictured in the photo. Barry was very helpful with pricing, as well. Barry's installers, Steve and Mario, were at my home later in the day to cut the pad, included in the price, and place the rug in its new home. Many thanks to all at The Rug Affair.
