Came here for Mathieu Bitton's Paris Blues Q/A artist talk on 2/25/24. What an incredible artist, photographer, designer, producer, and grammy winner. He shared marvelous stories of his upbringing in Paris, venturing to flea markets, buying up rare vinyl records, and his love for Prince. He spoke about moving to Los Angeles at age 14 to be with his mother and being immersed in the LA culture. He also touched on him moving to New York to attend NYU boarding school. This is where his career really blossomed. As of right now, Mathieu Bitton has designed over 1000 LPs and CDs. He is a world-renowned collector of Black films. He has worked with and photographed many celebrities and recording artists. He was recently given a grammy for his work with Dave Chappelle. What truly amazing life stories. We had an amazing time with an amazing person. Can not wait for the book signing!

I visited the Leica store today to purchase the newly released camera. After hearing that the awaited product had arrived, I made a reservation and waited. While waiting for my contact who was on a call, a petite older woman approached me. I felt extremely uncomfortable and rude vibes from her behavior, expressions, and gaze, which were clearly indicative of racial discrimination. Despite my attempts to request additional purchases, she ignored me and proceeded to the checkout counter with a dismissive attitude. This is not the first time I've encountered her; she previously ignored my inquiries and instead approached her own customers, neglecting my presence. Today, I realized her discriminatory actions, and her expressions and gestures confirmed my suspicions. Despite paying the same price for Leica cameras as everyone else, her uniquely poor treatment makes me feel disheartened. I'll have to revisit this store for additional purchases, but the thought of encountering that woman again is disheartening. I hope she refrains from discriminating against people of Asian descent.Additional note: When I initially wrote this review, I couldn't address certain aspects due to significant discomfort and feelings of disrespect towards a specific female staff member. The employee who actually helped me was John. He listened to all my questions about the camera and did his best to explain everything he knew. For areas where verbal explanations fell short, he went to the back of the store himself to bring out samples. John always made an effort to listen during our conversations and didn't forget to provide detailed advice on using the camera, such as initial setup, focusing, and various accessories. I was feeling quite hurt by the female staff here, but John's attentiveness eased my feelings. Honestly, I don't want to revisit this store, but since the Leica store is the only one in LA where I reside, if I do return, I will definitely seek out John.

In the store where craftsmanship meets art, I found myself. The service, not mere assistance, but a guiding hand through the halls of photographic excellence. The Leica Monochrome M10, not just a camera, but a companion for the soul's expression, was chosen with care and understanding. Each lens, a 50 mm beacon of clarity, handpicked to capture life's fleeting moments. Accessories, not mere additions, but extensions of the creative will. In this haven, where passion meets precision, I was not just served, but understood, my artistic pursuit not just acknowledged, but shared. A five-star tribute to not just a store, but a sanctuary of visual storytelling.

What a fabulous place to stop by if you’re looking for a Leica fix. Michael is one of the instructors and salesmen who was happy to chat and quite knowledgeable about all things with the red dot.

Beautiful retail and gallery space showcasing photographers from all over the world and all the latest Leica products. The gallery space is nice and wide with an outdoor patio which is especially nice during opening night events.Besides all the camera gear Leica makes that’s available to you, they also have a selection of photography books along the wall that they update regularly. The staff is nice and accommodating as well and they don’t treat you like you’re on parole like many other high end stores in the area which follow you around.Even if you can’t afford any of the gear here (they sell used and refurbished items too but still pricy haha) its great to come in and check out some art and the latest gear. It’s also nice to just get informed on the latest tech advancements.Parking lot is available but it is all metered like street parking like most of that area. Holidays though they’ll be off and free!

Another amazing experience at the gallery with two very accomplished photographers. Great video presentations, question and answer sessions. Now I have two autographed books to recollect the experience.

This store is amazing on an international level! It has a beautiful photographic art gallery upstairs that changes over its exhibitions every month! Meanwhile, the store downstairs is full of extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff and of course the amazing and iconic Leica cameras and lenses. I really love visiting this place and just chatting to the people there and have met and made many friends just by being there. Highly recommended to anyone remotely interested in photography and cinematography and photographic art!

I stopped by with my buddy & he got a bunch of Leica branded accessories. I love the store setup. The location is a great spot in between a bunch of great restaurants. The art gallery on top floor is solid & motivates you to wanna shoot photographs. The patio on the top floor is amazing.I’ll definitely buy my first Leica there & this spot has a lot of amazing items to accessorize your camera with tons of lens options.
