Jon seems like a nice guy, and a knowledgeable physical therapist. I worked with him in the aftermath of hip surgery as a highly active 32-year-old who previously ran and lifted on an almost daily basis. Throughout PT and in the months following I had difficulty with hip strength and mobility issues. When I contacted him several months after my last appointment to explain my continuing pain and discomfort and asking if he was able to help at all, Jon expressly told me "sorry I can't really help". I was stunned, to say the least. In working with other PTs, they've each taken interest in my post-op health and success. When I've struggled with isolated pain or had questions about exercises, they were happy to help and went out of their way to ensure I had the tools to address the issues I was facing. With Jon, it's felt like he is wiping his hands entirely and has neither the time nor interest to help me through what has become an incredibly challenging situation. At only 33 years old I now feel extremely limited in my physical ability and unsure if I'll ever run, lift or play tennis/basketball again. In sum, an impactful experience that taught me the importance of finding a physical therapist who is truly invested in his or her patients' success and isn't just in it for a paycheck.

Very disappointing experience, unethical and rude staff. I came for a treatment due to knee injury. I was in tremendous amount of pain and wasn't very mobile. Evaluation and first session was fine, so was my first therapist. However, after 2-3 sessions I kept having different people working with me, including the administrator. The place was overbooked although they were continue to take new patients, while existing patients were treated poorly without proper care. After 5 sessions the administrator abruptly told me that I could do exercises at home and don't need help anymore. I left confused and very disappointed, since I very much needed therapy. Luckily, I have found another great place on La Brea, where people are professional and are equipped to deal with insurances.

I consider myself a connoisseur with regards to Physical Therapy facilities around Los Angeles County, given my propensity of often being injured. In an effort to spread positivity, I will not be reviewing the countless porous operations in existence around this city, instead choosing to highlight the cream that rose above the rest, Kaufmann Physical Therapy. Recovering from an injury can not only be a physically taxing process, but mentally as well. Therefore, having therapists that not only earn your trust via their expertise on the physical rebuild of your body, but the mental/emotional as well, can not be understated. This type of hands-on attention and care can only be achieved when working with individuals that are passionate about their jobs and not corporatized hands for hire beholden to a mandate that doesn't allow for using their instincts as to what the patient REALLY needs, as opposed to following the script they are required to adhere to. With that said, I can not recommend going to see Jon and his staff enough. You never once feel as if you are another number that they are putting through their cyclical machine in an effort to hit bottom lines. You feel heard, cared for and as if you are always in good hands. Good help is hard to find, that sentiment also pertains to your well being, so don't risk going someplace where YOU aren't the number one priority. Go to Kaufmann Physical Therapy, I guarantee they give you the best attention and care anyone could ever ask for.

I went for PT for a shoulder injury and cannot express how professional and exceptional the treatment is. Everyone I work with has gone above and beyond in my recovery. I highly recommend Kaufman PT!

Great location in West Hollywood, with convenient parking. Has a great gym, which makes it easy to transition back to working out after an injury. The staff has excellent customer service and the therapist are extremely knowledgeable and experienced.

Jon is FABULOUS!!!!! I can't say enough good things about him. He's helped me with frozen shoulder, bursitis, post-auto-accident. Good staff too.

It's been awhile since my wife had her PT for shoulder issues. This place seemed more like a personal training gym than a Physical Therapist. The PT room is small with out any privacy. We both felt judged upon walking in the door. She wanted to get better and have better range of motion after her surgery. We discussed her insurance and had the green light with the insurance coverage. we asked about the copay and we we assured that it was all covered be the insurance. My wife was still in pain and pain level was not improving. She stopped going and found another PT. About 3 months later we received a bill for $845. We contacted the insurance company and was assured that it was all paid. This PT said the billing was correct, and when we said that we will fax over the Insurance statement. They put me on hold. They never came back on the line. We stayed with this business too long. We found another PT and she felt better in two visits. Don't spend your time here. Not worth the stress.

I had been feeling pain in my right shoulder for weeks and it wouldn't quit. Nothing was giving me any relief. My primary care doctor gave me a prescription for PT after seeing nothing unusual in an x-ray. I'm so glad I came to this clinic. Jon Kaufmann came highly recommended by a few friends. This is a beautiful facility. I was very impressed with how Jon diagnosed me based on my range of motion AND some telltale sounds my shoulder made when I moved my arm. After several weeks of building my strength and stabilizing my shoulder, I am feeling brand new. Jon and his support staff are all excellent. I'm grateful for their expertise and care.

My Medical Doctor recommended me to have therapy at this Office.I also in the same location I had chiropractic and acupuncture, so I decided first to do my appointments for Chiro and Acupuncture then I am gonna go to have treatment at this Office . Location has free Parkings on back of building right on front of this Physical Therapy office , so I parked my car , went to have treatment for Chiropractic and Acupuncture. So my treatment usually there is about 3-4 hours. After Chiro/acupuncture treatments I went to pick up my prescription for physical therapy and gonna bring to Kaufmann. Then I saw on my car someone left paper that they will towed my car ? I looked around then a worker from Kaufmann Physical Therapy Office when out started yelling at me telling me that he will towed my car because my car was to long parked there , I looked around there was no sign to say how long car can be parked , I told him I was having treatment at chiropractic office and now I was gonna go at Kaufmann Physical Therapy He kept yelling he even did not listen what I said. I was shocked by behavior of that worker from Kaufmann Physical Therapy, I asked him who is your supervisor can I speak he said I am supervisor. I looked the office was empty no people , I realized that people don't come here because this Rude guy. In that business location is 10 other business and they told me they all have problem with This people from Kaufmann Physical Therapy. So I did not even had chance to enter to their office was attacked right at front of their door. Please if you gonna go to have physical therapy go to somewhere else, save your self from Rudeness from a workers from Kaufmann Therapy.I could not believe what's Happened , I am still in shock .

Kaufmann Physical Therapy is fantastic. I had a "frozen" shoulder and after a few treatments I'm finally free from pain and can use my shoulder. When I first arrived I could raise my arm halfway. Jon (owner) is amazing. He really knows his stuff. And their cost per visit is reasonable compared to all the other places I checked out. My insurance only covers in-patient PT. I hope I never need PT again, but if I do I will not hesitate to return to Kaufmann. Great staff!
