I had an excellent experience in this store. Firstly, it's very interesting to walk in the door and see the cooks actually making your dog's food. The environment is spotless. Gave me great confidence that the food is exactly what they say it is, human grade.
I walked to the fridges & was assisted by Michelle. What a great ambassador for the product line. She shared information. Made sure I knew exactly how much to feed my dog by asking his weight. Informed me of upcoming events & promotions. & Helped me to my car with my purchases.
Store is located on the Southeast Corner of Santa Monica Blvd & Fairfax. Parking in the back, accessed from Fairfax. Also metered street parking.

Let me introduce you to perhaps the best food you can feed your four legged baby. Fresh Food For Dogs has a large variety of freshly made human grade food with focus on healthy ingredients that support various stages of your pet’s life. This was my first time going to the actual location where they make Just Food For Dogs. We’ve been feeding our dogs this brand for quite sometime and I always wondered what the actual facility that makes these fresh and great quality recipes looks like. As I was greeted by the manager, he gave me a little tour and explained how they make different recipes on different days. The service was so impressive that I went ahead and bought chew toys and treats as well. The manager was so kind that he took the time to ask about our dogs and included a box of another recipe for our older dog. That day, I only intended to quickly get a few boxes of food for our new puppy and leave, but the unexpectedly pleasant greeting and introduction to their products, made me a forever customer.

I was introduced to Just Food For Dogs by Joe, he was so enthusiastic and informative about the brand, and my dog absolutely loves him!I was having a hard time finding food that my dog would eat and be excited about rather than waiting until hunger overtakes him. I really didn't know what else to do, he didn't like anything. Just Food For Dogs and Joe changed both our lives. Kotton was overweight, and sluggish. JFFD completely transformed my dog! He is always super excited to get his Venison and Squash, eats it fast, and licks the bowl clean. The staff there are knowledgeable and always helpful.

BLOOD IN STOOL.I urge you all to be careful when buying from this location. Not because of service as it is always good at their locations however we've been going to the dtla location for the past couple years and haven't had any problems. Being that we were in the area and our 4yr old needed more food we stopped to restock on the same beef and potatoes that we always get him. Right after opening the package we noticed that this batch was completely different than what we normally get from dtla but didn't smell any different or spoiled so unknowingly we continued to feed him it. After two servings he began experiencing symptoms and has now has constant diarrhea and vomiting the past two days. We have to take him to the vet because he's been going nonstop and as other reviewers stated there is blood in his stool. Not sure what JFFD is doing at this location that's causing this but seems like their QC is a luck of the draw. So be careful or your dog may experience the same thing.
