My sister-in-law works at Jenni Kayne, so I wear a lot of their clothes and shoes (in fact, I'm wearing a Jenni Kayne sweater and clogs right now). I've been consistently happy with their quality and wearability over the years. The style is also perfect for me, a 38-year-old mom who just wants attractive, well made basics. I don't usually go into Jenni Kayne stores, but I happened to find myself right next to this one on Almont and decided to take a peek. This was apparently the first store, and it was very pleasant, with a relaxing, upscale vibe. I browsed the racks and tried on some shoes that were out on the floor. The staff left me alone in a way I didn't mind. I enjoyed my browse and made a mental note of a few things to buy down the line. If you like nice sweaters and comfortable everyday shoes, definitely check out Jenni Kayne.

Father in law sent a sweater to my wife at Christmas that didn't fit. During Christmas sometime you don't get the gift for several weeks after purchase. when trying to exchange the item I was informed that the policy is a 30 day return. Missed it by three days and the store was unwilling to issue a credit for exchange. Much better quality out there for the money with more professional customer service

I am in a similar position to many of the reviewers below. I purchased over $800 worth of items from Jenni Kayne as Christmas gifts for my family members. A couple of items turned out to be too big. Jenni Kayne has refused to accept the returns or even exchanges for store credit -- both via email and phone call to their customer service reps. It's completely ridiculous for a high end clothing store to have such poor customer service. Surely they could anticipate that many items would be purchased for the holidays and would need to be returned. Save yourself the dollars and pain and shop elsewhere.

Love this brand and brand quality so much, I'll start with this! I've been a loyal shopper here for several years - Jenni Kayne's boyfriend everyday sweaters are simply the best for daily, warm (but not too warm if you don't need it), sweatering! I am really disappointed by the rigid return and no exchange or credit policy enough that I would warn any holiday gift purchaser not to do ANY sort of gift ordering from the store in the future - unless your giftee has confirmed the size and content of the gift in advance. I received three items for Christmas that my husband purchased four weeks prior to my opening. Two items didn't fit. I contacted the store on January 10th knowing I was too late for a credit card refund (21 days for this to occur - during the holidays - really?) but certainly expecting that I would be granted a store credit or could exchange for appropriate sizes. I was denied. So customer unfriendly. You can do better, Jenni Kayne!

I've been a long time fan of Jenni Kayne . The quality has had their ups and downs but I've always received attentive service. This past Christmas my husband purchased a pair of earnings that are defective. Just too petite to wear. I'm a small lady. id like to challenge the owner to attempt to put these on. When I requested to return them they refused as it was part of a promotion - so they know there is a problem with this product. My husband couldn't find anywhere on their website where this was stated. I said fair enough I'll take a store credit. The earnings are 2000 , I really expect more from this company. I'm not purchasing again and I'd recommend anyone else not to. My first yelp review, I sincerely hope the management reads this so they know there's a problem. kdaniels

I couldn't find the Jenni Kayne Brentwood clothing store on Yelp, so I'll just go ahead and add on to another customer's horrific experience with the JK brand. My kids bought me a beautiful JK sweater for Christmas, unfortunately in the wrong size. I took the sweater in ON JANUARY 3rd to swap out the sizes and was told that because I was past the 30 return period they couldn't do it. WHAT STORE DOESN'T HAVE AN EXTENDED RETURN POLICY FOR XMAS? I was told to contact customer service which proved to be a joke. After speaking with 2 customer service agents I eventually spoke with the customer service manager, I was told they would not be able to do the exchange and I asked why is it so complicated to exchange one size for another? Once she started with the 'it's our policy' bs - I told her that I'm a customer of the brand but will never ever step foot in another store again based on this incident. I also mentioned that Quince (online retailer) has the exact same dupes as JK for a fraction of the price. Buyer beware - shop Quince for less AND return it when you'd like. BU-BYE JK - you lost a good customer!

BUYER BEWARE! Jenni Kayne has horrific customer service and does not back their products. I have bought 4 cashmere fisherman sweaters from them and on one of them the collar is detaching from the body of the sweater. This sweater costs $425 and when I chatted with an online representative they told me they could not help me since I did not buy the sweater from the store. NO replacement, NO offer to fix it, NO discount was offered. I am disgusted that this company does not stand by their products and will never purchase a sweater from them again! Shame on you Jenni Kayne.

I have purchased several sweaters over the years from Jenni Kayne. Recently I ordered one of the more expensive sweaters as a gift for a family member. I was unaware that they literally changed the return policy right before the holidays. I needed to exchange the sweater because of the size. Due to the ridiculous new policy they were completely unwilling to help in any way whatsoever to accommodate me. It's not like I had the sweater for months. I was a week past the "new" policy that didn't take into consideration anything for the holidays. After a lot of wasted time speaking to and emailing their customer service they told me there was nothing they would do to help me out. Can you imagine a company saying this to a client? For a "high end" company that claims to care about women they haven't a clue how to orchestrate that. The quality and customer service aren't there and I would HIGHLY recommend shopping somewhere else. Not worth it!

I have been a loyal repeat customer of Jenni Kayne. Last year I spent close to $3000 on sweaters and this year I've spent over $1000 online/in store. For Christmas I purchased an additional 3 sweaters on 11/30/2023, totaling $1315.71 (order #JK11914122). I paid FULL price for the sweaters. When I received these items, they were the wrong sizes and two of the sweaters had pilling and hairs on them. They appeared to have been worn or, minimally, tried on and returned. I contacted customer service and was told that if I returned the sweaters online I would be charged a $12.00 restocking fee for each item, but if I returned/exchanged them in store there would be no fee. When I went to the Jenni Kayne retail store to return/exchange the sweaters for new, unworn items, I was told that I could not because I purchased them with a slipper promotion which made the sale final, despite the fact that I paid FULL retail price for the sweaters. I did not see the "final sale" when I made these purchase but I did see that the slippers were a "gift." I was not focused on the "gift" because I was not especially interested in the slippers. Additionally, when I have purchased merchandise with a gift promotion from numerous other retail sites, there is always a minimum dollar amount required to receive the gift and if the items are returned you are required to return the gift or you get charged for it. The sales clerks at the Jenni Kayne store also agreed that the promotion was confusing and that it should have been written in red with a larger font. She said that there have been numerous other complaints from customers about this promotion. The sales clerk encouraged me to contact Jenni Kayne customer service which I did and attempted to resolve the issue with a Customer Experience Manager, Brandy. Brandy was unyielding and quite rude. I asked to speak to someone higher up and she told me there was no one else in the company who I could speak to. I have NEVER encountered such an unreasonable return/exchange policy for expensive FULL price merchandise.

such an unfortunate experience. my husband purchased a sweater for me for Christmas. it doesn't fit and when I tried to return or exchange it they told me I was out of the 21 day policy window. I've never heard of a company not offering an extended policy during the holidays. it's such a bummer they won't event let me exchange it for the correct size. i won't be buying anything from them again due to this experience.

As much as I like some of the pieces from Jenni Kayne. I cannot express my frustration enough with their customer service policies. On two instances, I got sweaters as a gift one was wool and the other cashmere. Unfortunately I am highly allergic to anything fuzzy as it makes my skin itch. The first time, I called ahead and expressed that it was a gift, wrote it on the return label and asked for a credit so I could actually get something different. They ended up refunding the person that got it. What a huge embarrassment. Second instance, I called again, this experience now almost 2 years later thinking they must have done something better with their customer service. I was wrong. Not only do they not extend their return policy over the holidays; once again, because it was shipped to someone else, and there was no gift receipt, but I had the packing slip. They were unable to do anything except refund the person. However, since it was outside of the 21 day window, they were not willing to do anything actually. At a price point like this and a brand that seems to be branching out I think they really should work on updating their policies and their customer service experience before they do anything else. Horrible customer service is the one thing that can discourage me from purchasing from any brand.

I have never had such a terrible customer service from a high-end apparel brand. I purchased a sweater for my mom for Christmas (thankfully she tried it on before Christmas or I would have been completely out of luck on any return/exchange because of their short return window). She needed one size smaller and there is no option to do any sort of exchange for online orders. I was charged $12 to ship the original order, $12 restocking fee on the return, and $12 to ship the new order. I initiated the return on the 22nd day and so all I could get was store credit instead of a refund (this store credit came after I had already purchased the new sweater due to not being able to exchange so I am stuck with store credit I don't want now). I went back and forth with customer service to see if there was anything they could do and they were not willing to help at all. Will not purchase from this company again EVER online (possibly in-store could be better?).

I have been a loyal repeat customer of Jenni Kayne. Last year I spent close to $2000 on sweaters and this year I’ve spent over $1000 online and in the store. For Christmas I purchased 3 sweaters with your slipper promotion. The sweaters were full price. When I received them they were the wrong sizes and two of them had pilling and hairs on them. They clearly had been worn. I went to exchange the sweaters in the store for correct sizes and new, unworn items and was told that I could not because the slipper promotion made it a final sale, despite the fact that I paid full retail price for the sweaters. I did not see this when I made the purchase. Nor do I care about the slippers (which also aren’t the correct size). Even the clerks at the Jenni Kayne store said the promotion terms should have been in bright red. I have NEVER in my retail life encountered such an unreasonable policy. You have lost me as a customer and I am going to recommend that my friends and family do NOT shop at Jenni Kayne.

Jenni Kayne, don't waste your money on their sweaters. I do not understand the good reviews - terrible fabric quality and they really do not care! You cannot justify this amount of pilling after only a few hours light use...seriously, up and down both sweater arms and sides! It looks disgusting. I'm told how sorry they are and to buy a sweater shaver. Sure I'll carry that around for use during the day, not. Run from this company and don't waste your money.

Bought the Everyday Sweater - received it on Tuesday - liked it - wore it on Wednesday. Within hours the piles and shedding were embarassing - have never had a sweater (even from brands significantly less expensive that Jenni Kayne) do this. Contacted them on Thursday morning explaining the issue - that I wore it - but it is obviously defective - and I would like to return it. They refused - their policy is you can only return "unworn items". How is one supposed to know that an item is defective and is going to pile and shed excessively if you don't wear. Will NEVER purchase another item from this farce of a company again in my life and will make sure I tell all my friends to stay away. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE - AWFUL PRODUCTS.
