The staff were engaging and super helpful. The design of the store is beautiful and the clothing they have are displayed thoughtfully and arranged in ways that easy to find. The outdoor garden area on the side is so peaceful. The only thing that would make it nicer is to have a couple of chairs out there for a moment to sit and have a breath of fresh air.

Have shopped in James Perse for years ( 12)when over from the UK. I want to love it, occasionally it lasts and I do-but have to reluctantly say it’s not a patch on Paul Smith and it’s more expensive! Still won’t stop shopping there but it’s a bit of a victory of seductive marketing over quality

My sister bought me a jacket at one of your stores in LA and asked if it was free of animal products/vegan-friendly. The person working there and even a manager said that yes it is, just that once I got it I saw the label and it turns out that you are a bunch of liars because it was partially out of wool. I have to say that it is an inexcusable mistake and that you should really be ashamed of this, it’s such a simple request that you were to incompetent to fulfill

I emailed James Perse today receiving back a one sentence question re my order number which I responded to several times as there was no further response from James Perse's Customer Service department. Their answerphones are un manned, no one answers. James Perse's pricing of his cotton shirts does not reflect in the poor thin cotton yarn which he uses, often found in budget clothing. It is a shames that he outsources manufacturing to China as opposed to paying the proper amount for US manufacturing. Cheap Labour, Cheap cotton yarn. At least, he uses mother-of-pearl- buttons as opposed to plastic. Hey, James, stop the greed which is reflecting in your pricing and get someone to answer the Customer Service phone...even if yu do not want to deal with emailso

There is a problem here. If you buy online or any store they will not accept any returns on damaged material . They are trained to tell you its your fault that you didn't care of the product and they never get complaints ever. The employees are well trained to dress you down and tell you its your problem not the manufacturer. They expect you keep all original receipts too. You take a huge gamble when you spend alot of money on a garment. Take that risk or pass ! i really wish i kept the photos of the poor material that went back quickly. How disappointing .

James Perse quality control is not good, I've purchased few pants from them at $260.00 per pants and most of them have issue with sewing all rear pockets have multiple stitching and some have double stitchings.One of them stitching was coming apart.Not worth $260.00 and when I contact customer service they offer me 10% discount toward a new purchase.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! They do not replace items of clothing that have been damaged. For example, lululemon will replace or give store credit for items that pull or come unraveled. This brand will not and for the cost this is disappointing. Will not be making anymore purchases and I suggest you do the same.

I received a damaged package and the shirt inside, an intended stocking stuffer for my husband, was stained. Here's the final letter third I sent to customer service:Dear customer service:I am going to decline this offer of a credit. After contacting customer service for a live chat and never getting a response, I then took pictures and sent them with an email letter to customer assistance. I was told that I had to take MORE pictures, then resend them, which I did. That's THREE contact attempts.I was hoping to be sent a replacement upon returning the tee shirt, but instead I got a credit. When I went on line I saw that I would need to spend an additional $12 to get something that was close to my original order (and probably pay for postage too), PLUS I had to take the time to return the original shirt (and adding in the time I already spent trying to get a response), I gave up.After mulling over the time and hassle involved to buy a slightly pricier item, I'll wash the shirt, hope the stain comes out, and give it to my husband as a non-gift.On top of all that, I had asked my sister-in-law to give my husband a couple of Perse long-sleeved tee shirts as a gift, and they have collars that don't sit flat. They almost look rolled.I chose James Perse for their reputation of quality (and I do love the fabric of a dress shirt I purchased) but, when it comes to tees I now know I can do much better with other, more consistent brands like Theory, my husband's favorite.

I have been a very good customer of James Perse for years. In the last few months I purchased a new style pink t-shirt. I washed it in cold water with a grey t-shirt, also a James Perse, and the gray shirt bled all over the pink t-shirt ruining it. I took photos and called the company. They could not find my email address. Then, I sent them photos of the t-shirts and 3 copies of transactions on my Visa card within the last 6 months totaling over $1,000. They then said the pink t-shirt was not on those orders. So, a sophisticated high priced business, can't find your email, but they can send you email advertisements weekly? They can't find your t-shirt order, because they can't find it on an order? I have spent thousands on their merchandise and have never returned anything. They have a bad product that bleeds and they can't stand behind their merchandise? The customer service people could use some training. I have decided to boycott them. Don't buy their product as they do not stand behind it.

James Perse's return policy CLAIMS that they will provide a refund if the item is unworn and unwashed. But if you try to return anything, they will claim that it has been worn and refuse to take it back. At these prices, BUYER BEWARE.
