Rented two bikes for my son (age 11) and I for a few days last April 2023. Staff were really informative and professional on the phone, nothing seemed a problem :)
When we arrived, they had a good stock of bikes - adults and kids - and were diligent to size the saddle height and sort the helmet out for my son to ensure make sure he was safe and comfortable. They provided locks, and explained the simple "support" arrangements in case we had issues on the road. Had a whizz cycling up to the Hollywood sign, and even managed to bike out to Santa Monica (quite a hike through the LA streets but great to see the "other side" of LA). LA has some marked cycle paths, especially in WeHo, otherwise we cycled on pavements (which seemed wide enough - and no-one walks in LA anyway!); the metro system takes bikes too. Bikes performed great - no issues at all. Highly recommend these guys at BikeshopLA. I would definitely use them again ;)

Never getting any dollars from me..
The energy I was given was off.. During my visit to L.A. I had purchased a rental bike for the month.. I needed a simple brake tightening so I could stop safely, something I could do myself! Had I known I would've got tools myself but, I was already headed out.
Whoever was in front told me to come back for the tech.. But he then proceeded into doing it himself. He BARELY touched the knob and charged me $30! He even wanted to add another charge for air! I was literally there just asking questions.. I literally could've done it myself.
Lesson learned. I'm just do not claim that place as a hospitable location and will never go back. ??

I usually do not write reviews, but during our stay in LA this company helped us very good. We hired a bike at noon for 24hours. Our hotel did not allow bikes, so we went back around 3pm. We asked if we could take the bike the next day at 9am for the remaining hours, and that was no problem. We picked up the bike around 9.30am the next morning, and we were allowed to keep it until 2pm!! We did everything we wanted to do on our ride and the bikes were perfect. A small bag for belonings and a lock for the bike are all included. We even got 2 ice cold water bottles after. Thanks again!!Please do mind that there will be asked for a credit card hold for a few hundred dollars depending on the type of bike, but it is released almost immediately after bringing back the bikes in good condition.

what a great experience!- harris (our tour guide- i would go out of my way to request him again!) took us all over l.a for 5 1/2 hours. safety was the first priority, with information about the city a close second. highly recommended!

The fact that I need to wait a few hours after calling to check if something is in stock is absurd. Ridiculous. All other bike shops don’t do this

Rudest staff. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a shop… don’t normally leave reviews but felt compelled after my experience

It's more of a place to buy your first bike than a place to get repairs or enthusiast bikes.

30 dollars for replacing a inner tube, lol. In all of my years biking, I've never been charged 20 dollars to replace a 10 dollar inner tube. But you can do it yourself, which is really not much help if you don't have the tools, which they have for sale. Don't know much more about their other services, so I'm leaving them 3 stars.

Worst service that I have ever had at any bike shop. First off I payed $32 dollars for a rubber break part and tire. With a 10 mile trip back to my destination ahead of me. I simply needed to change my flat and asked to use the tool needed to do it for my self because it was going to cost me an extra $20 dollars for them to do it when I only had just enough to pay for the break part and tire. They where extremely rude and uncompassionate about my situation. No thanks
