Today, I went to purchase two live fish, but the worker at the fish counter tried to hide a dead fish among the live ones and sell it to me. When I pointed it out and asked for a fresh one, he became verbally and physically aggressive, even telling me to leave the store. He started saying offensive words, some of which were in a language I didn’t understand. I asked to speak with a manager, but the worker claimed he was the manager and continued telling me to go home.
When I spoke to the front desk, they said the actual manager wasn’t in the store and started making excuses for the fish worker, saying he didn’t speak English well. I told them I would wait for the manager, and they said it would take 25 minutes. After waiting for 40 minutes, I realized the manager wasn’t going to show up. The store clearly didn’t care about addressing the issue.

This is the best Asian market in Los Angeles and even Orange county. They have never disappointed me since the day I knew them year ago. If you are looking for Asian Food from living seafood to dry food then nowhere you can find good stuffs and nice service than here. I bet you go 99 ranch, 168 or Great Wall Market or any Asian market in Orange county ( Little Saigon) you will never anywhere that good like this market.
I love this market, buying experience here is always pleasant and happy.
1. Clean and spacious market, no smell when you come in like other asian market.! They are carrying huge inventory Asian food from fresh to frozen, I can find everything for my need from cooking noodle or prepare for a paert or event.
2. The living seafood is unbeatable. I have been in many markets to find fresh oyster, all market pack oyster in a net which does not allow you to pick what you want, price is 1.09-1.99 per oyster if they leave it for you to pick by yourself but as I said very rare to see. Here in this market, oysters was put in fresh running water tank, fresh, you can pick what you want, just .99 cent/ each or if you want to buy a case of 100 pcs is $60. I used to buy 120 pcs from them, all oyster was perfectly fresh and big.
I also bought manila clams , they are in net but you can touch and see through, if you see any dead one, let the worker know they take out all dead one and only scale the living one for you. All staffs here are super friendly, they never show annoying attitude like I met in other market when I ask them to take out dead clam out.
3. Best customer servives ever seen in market or even shopping mall! Their cashier and packing agent works with their heart, I purchased almost $200 today with 76 items- wet and dry items, you may not believe but the packing agent, he patiently seperated dry noodle go with dry noodle in one bag, fresh meat in 1 bag, bottles in one bag, I do not know his name, he has grey hair, he organized every single bag for me. The way he packed for my stuffs touched me so much, he pack nicely and carefully just like for himself.
If you need any items, ask them they will show you or go to find for you. Always nice and happy to help you.
I got home and just need to put each bag either to fridge or dry pantry without opening to seperate them any more. Save me a lot of time!
A hug plus thing here is they give you free plastic bags, no worries if you forget your shopping bag at home, where can have that excellent customer services than here? I have never seen!
4. They always have small gift for everything time I shopped $100 and more. I got sweet tea, coffee or rice or noodle or boba. All the gift they gave are actually very good, thanks to that I know if the stuff is good or not and I came back to buy more for family. Just like sweet TH oolong tea, they gave out to me like 5 botles, after trying I love it, so I came back and buy 1-2 cases everytime I shop there.
5. The most important is the price, very reasonable price or even cheaper much more than any Asian market. What I bought today if I went to 99 ranch, at least 300$ but here almost $200! Always has special price for many good items. Save money a lot!
Their products are fresh, clean and new. All items are displayed nicely and in order, very easy to find.
Spacious and safe parking as well.
Thank you the owner who open the market here for Asian like me has a trusted place to go, no more worries. Thank you all staff there, you do amazing job!

The products are complete, fresh, and reasonably priced. The store is clean and tidy, and the parking lot is large enough.

I have always been a regular customer of Shunfa, but the price of this Shunfa is obviously much more expensive than the one in San Gabriel. Of course, they will give you a small gift based on your consumption, but it is directly lower than the price of Shunfa in San Gabriel. The same price in Shunfa Supermarket will attract more customers, because not far away are Dahua Supermarket and Korean Greenland Supermarket.

The cashier's are so slow. Agonizingly slow. Ridiculously slow. Almost maliciously slow. No sense of urgency whatsoever. They don't care how long the line is.

Yes, has many products. However, the smell of this place is terrible & I really don't understand how they maintain this business like that. They must fix the problem. Health department should get involved ASAP.

This store is near my house and one night I was walking by with my wife after we got ice cream at baskin robins, while we were walking by and looking inside minding our business we were approached by a security guard yelling at us and waving his finger around saying “no” and “it’s closed”. I will never ever come to this store I’ll go to the 99 ranch market instead! They need to hire someone who doesn’t power trip.

Like any other SF supermarkets, their prices and selections are good and comparable. I love that we finally have an Asian market around the area. Moreover, they kept their promotion of free goodies if you spend $20 and up. Keep it up SF West Covina.
