Took my puppy there for a first time visit. I was asking questions and concerns for my puppy out of pure curiosity as I am a new dog owner, I was made felt like me asking questions was irritating to them. Also made original appointment 4 days earlier just to show up and find out they were not even open.

Hands down THE WORST PET CARE i have ever had the misery of taking my baby to! Overcharging for EVERYTHING and then even when i do pay $400 for a simple test, it takes them WEEKS to get back to you when they told me it would be “a couple days”. Paid $400 for ZERO information while my kitty has been getting dangerously worse the past week and when i called saying i’m concerned they told me i can bring her in for another $80 visit. ALL THESE PEOPLE CARE ABOUT IS MONEY THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANIMALS AT ALL. it’s actually disheartening i’ve never had such a terrible experience at a pet vet!! ??????? not to mention i’ve been on hold for like half an hour currently trying to get in touch AGAIN to see about the test results, seriously NEVER coming here again!!

I have the active care plan @ Banfield west Covina Eastland. My plan just ended and I decided not to renew. I'm glad I'm done w them. Here's a description of my last visit: receptionist asked what's wrong with my dog. I told her the issue. She typed something on her computer and printed a treatment plan. Then asked which of the tests in the list she printed I wanted to pay for. LMBO! Where do receptionist provide treatment plans without even looking at my dog or offering the vet to examine? WTH? I told her I rather wait for the vet's professional opinion. She said the vet will recommend the same tests. I said I still want the vet to examine. She said that will be a drop off appointment so leave dogo there and come back in 2 hrs. I told her I have an appointment. She said "so do the other dogs waiting". SMH They wanted to examine my pet without my supervision. Why? Just doesn’t feel right! I told her thank you and walked away. Please don't bring your precious baby here. Don't do that to them.

This is a great place to take your pet for vet treatment, my pup has been coming here for 5 years and the staff is friendly. Depending how many people are in line, it could take a little time. But the staff is always professional and quick.

I emailed them and was responded by an automated email. The hospital itself called me and accused me of missing the appointment, not offering me an apology. I can understand that they are short staffed, but their actions in canceling last minute clearly shows a lack of respect for both their customers and their time.

I had an appointment today for my kitten at 12:30pm today and drove from Los Ángeles since my usual location didn't have anything available that wasn't more than a few weeks out. I arrived and no one was there. There was writing on white board that said Hospital closed. No one called me to cancel or reschedule my appointment. I was told that they had came in earlier today for a meeting or something and that they also said they wouldn't be open until Tuesday. Very unprofessional. They could have at least called me to cancel, specially if they went in earlier in the day. Only giving it 1 star because 0 is not an option.

This is not geared to the staff but to the concept and ethos of this company. DO NOT take your pet here if you're not with their wellness plan. They will gouge prices and try to tack on anything to inflate the final cost. I brought my cat with a likely ear infection (gunk in his ear and a little lethargy) the staff was nice, no complains about that- but $145 just for a single ear swab is way steep. That didn't include the following ear cleaning, microscope exam, medication and the office visit (which you can acquire a coupon online for if it's your 1st visit) They will discuss prices right away and tell you that this is just base price and that eventual fees from necessary exams needed may incur. Not even looking at my cat first, they're already required to discuss further exams and upsell as much as possible. I've never had any vet office do this. Prices are disclosed and broken down in the end after it's been assessed by the doctor. You will not be able to accompany your pet during the exam. They will be taken as a drop off and you will be told to come back 2-4 hours later. I would much rather spend 2-4 hours in an exam room knowing my furry friend is being assessed and discussing with the doctor, not at this Banfield! Even with an appointment, they're not even sure if the animal can be seen right away. I was able to squeeze in elsewhere where my cat was treated, assessed, swabbed and cleaned for around $200. Go somewhere else.

If I could I would give no stars to this hospital. Because of them me and my boyfriends baby girl(our cat), my 11 month soon to be a year old cat has died. They FAILED to do their jobs. They KNEW we were a first time pet owners and they KNEW she was sick. And didn't help her. We adopted another cat from them which is how she got sick. They didn't inform us he was sick when we adopted him. We took the new cat in to get checked he was put on 3 medications. We eventually gave up the new cat because our baby girl got sick as well. They said she had the SAME illness he had BUT they put her on only ONE medication which was COMPLETELY different from the ones they gave him. She DID NOT get better. Her blood count went down and all they told us is she has this pet Covid. They WERE NOT specific that it was FIP. They DID NOT inform us it was FIP until her last few days with us...when we took her in on her last check up...THEN they decided to give us treatment options!! If I knew how BAD and HORRIBLE this "hospital" is I would of taken her to somewhere else. Which also they didn't even INFORM me or my boyfriend about ANOTHER HOSPITAL which can take her in due to her severe illness!!! They FAILED as vets and FAILED at informing the owners of WHAT EXACTLY is wrong rather than informing us what EXACTLY she has. And giving us other hospitals options which could of helped her!!! Rather than covering it saying it's Covid and not giving us the treatment options KNOWING there is options....my baby girl DIED because of them. They failed and we're NOT informative towards us. If I would of have known how HORRIBLE they were at their job...and how little they went to help her..and help her find the treatment she needed sooner..she would of been alive. So pet owners DO NOT come here....As for Banfield I don't want to hear an apology from you because no apology can bring her back...

Yesterday I had literally the worst experience ever at the Glendora Bandfield! My puppy of 5 months had an appointment at 1145 am for a "Wellness check". I dropped her off on time & the receptionist says she should be ready by 3 pm. 3 pm comes by I call them just to be put on hold for about 10 mins and because I was starting to get frustrated I just hung up and showed up. Once I showed up around 330 pm. I was told my puppy Lola is not ready & they haven't even seeing her because of two emergencies occurred and that another dog was before her. So it would take about 1-2 hrs more. At this point I was beyond irate because my poor puppy had been there since 11 probably starving and thirsty cause god knows in what condition she was put in. Once 5 pm hit and I didn't get no call. I drove back to Banfield at this point I didn't care if she wasn't ready I was gunna just take my puppy. Once I got there she was clearly not ready because when the receptionist went back there she took a while to come back. Now this is the reason why I am beyond irritated with this place! The technician comes out to let me know Lola had pooped on herself. Once she Hands her back my poor puppy reeked of pee! Her whole fur was sticky. The technician just hands her back and that was that? Then I ask her so what's going on? Am I gunna get a feedback? & she says oh you haven't talked to the vet? So then they take us to the a room. Where the vet tells us my puppy needs some vaccines and de wormer that she already has. This is info we already have& mind you we were NEVER asked for a list of the vaccines just proof of rabies!!! Other than that she says she's fine!?Great so my puppy was at BANFIELD for about 6 hrs and all I got was she looks fine and needs vaccines she already has?! At that point I was sure they didn't even check my puppy cause no medical proof was provided. Literally the worst! Not to mention once I got home my puppy was downing water which I'm sure that wasn't even provided there! I understand emergencies happen and that they are busy! But don't schedule appointments and have the dogs waiting!! I feel angry at myself for putting my poor puppy under this circumstances! I hope they work on getting better and don't let the poor dogs waiting in a crate peeing and pooping on themselves!!

All the staff at this location is friendly and great with pets. They always treat my dog Nova with care and empathy even though she is a little on the wilder side. Whenever we go in they cater to her needs, I know she is in good hands.

Do not appreciate the way that I was treated when I took in my cat for questions about her skin. If someone is taking their pet over to the hospital it’s because they care about their pet. There are people out there that never take their pets to the vet. I will try to avoid this Benfield location. I’ve taken my cat to this location a few times in they have diagnosed my cat wrong in the past (I forgave that because we’re all just human and she’s fine now) and the last visit I had here sucks in general.

The vets are great. Customer service overall is OK needs some work. Sometimes they can be very moody. Also they never ever pick up their phones!! I called them back to try and reschedule and cannot get a hold of anyone. I would call multiple times in a day! It's ridiculous, they need to have someone man the phones.
