A quaint place and definitely hidden gem. Walking trails are fairly easy and the views are great! Staff was friendly and the park is fairly clean. Lots of wildlife and not a lot of people (just the way we like it ?)

Awesome staff and nature center. Great access trails and paths. Beautiful views of slough and wildlife.
The Elkhorn Slough Reserve harbors the largest tract of tidal salt marsh in California outside of San Francisco Bay. Elkhorn Slough hosts a tremendous diversity of plant and animal life and has been designated a Globally Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society and the American Birding Conservancy.
The Reserve is home to trails and a visitor center with accessible restrooms and knowledgeable staff to help you.
