Took my kid to TzuChi Preschool. Kid had issues adjusting to the classroom setting after spending the past 2 years at home due to COVID.And 2 weeks later my kid was let go. TzuChi only wants obedient kids. Other school tried and after the 1st rough month now my kid is doing great at public shcool.PRO: We were there too short to notice any goods.CON: 1. TzuChi didn't bother to educate. You either fit right in or Bye.2. Curriculum and staffs were too old school. Every morning's "Singing buddha song with $$$ donation" felt like a cult.3. Vegetarian school so your kid will not get any meat at lunch. Conclusion: There are plenty of other very good bi-lingual pre-schools around the Walnut area. Look elsewhere.

All 3 of our children went to TZ Walnut Preschool starting 2017 all the way through COVID. Two of them graduated from preschool while the last one went on to TK at a nearby elementary school. Through all these years we appreciate the warm and welcoming environment the director, Stephanie, and all the Tzu Chi staff have created for our children. It is important for us that our children have an opportunity to grow up in a dual language environment as well as receive more emphasis on moral education. The instructors are always kind and patient. Although it has been challenging during COVID, TZ has met our expectations to keep the children as safe as possible. The school has grown so much since we left and overall I'd highly recommend this place.

Love this school, sent my oldest here and now my youngest is attending for the next couple of years. I get in app messages and photos with Brightwheel. Teachers are very caring and loving, they definitely know how to take care of my kids better than I could. I've met other parents sharing the same journey and have learned a lot too. My kids are learning Mandarin and English with 2 teachers in each class. They have fun activities and special events both cultural and educational. I highly recommend this school. Children coming to the Preschool can choose to continue on to their Elementary located on the same campus at the other end. They also have Saturday school for Chinese at this location, and Sunday school at the San Dimas location.

My oldest daughter graduated from Tzu Chi preschool Walnut and is now attending elementary program. She was also enrolled in public preschool part time at the same time and their was a huge difference in pace of learning/teaching. By the time the kids graduated tzuchi preschool they were able to do basic math, write their names in Chinese and English and a lot of other skills to get ahead of her public school counterpart. The schools education plan also emphasized in teaching kindness and respect towards other which unfortunately I feel is lacking in in today's schools. She even puts away her own dishes after she eats now ? Also bonus is they provide a hot meal and two snacks throughout the day and the teachers are really good at updating parents on what their kids eat and posting pictures throughout the day for parents to see how their kids are doing. My daughter had such a good experience I have now enrolled my son in preschool and it's his first time in school and I feel very comfortable leaving him their the whole day knowing he's in a safe environment with teachers and staff who care!

My son attended Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool for a little over 2 years. He’s in kindergarten at a public school now. I can’t say enough great things about this preschool. The teachers and staff are all extremely caring and I 10000% trust my son in their hands. I love that they provide hot lunch and 2 snacks a day so I never had to worry about packing him food. The curriculum prepared my son so well and set him up for success at kindergarten. He knew his phonics, letters, some math. And of course I love the bilingual education. There are 2 teachers in a room- 1 teaches Chinese and 1 teaches English so the kids are exposed to both throughout the day. My daughter is 1 years old now and I’ve already put her on the (very long) waitlist to attend once she’s eligible!

My son attended this school for 2 years and had a great experience. We attended starting a few months into Covid and the school did a great job weathering the difficult decisions. The thing I like most is what they call “character building” which is basically teaching kids to be kind and respect people and nature. Not only do they teach it, but the staff members and teachers practice it and everyone is very kind and respectful. Highly recommend.

My daughter attended Tzu Chi Preschool for a summer session and a full school year. I had a friend recommend this school in Monrovia and told me there’s a campus here in Walnut that was larger and closer to my home. When I learned more about this dual language school, I immediately made plans to come here. As a new parent I enrolled her as early as 3 months old because I heard there might be a waitlist. My daughter couldn’t attend until she was fully potty trained at least 2.5 yrs old, unfortunately due to COVID I was too worried to send her at the time and she missed out on a year. I love the location, the large campus, and most of all the loving teachers, administrators, and yes, even the security guard who greets the parents and kids every morning. They have a great curriculum and a lot of things to do during the day, my daughter was never bored. She’s made so many friends here and I’ve also met a lot of great parents too.In the short time my daughter was here, I saw the amazing growth in every aspect of her life. She’s moved on to Kindergarten now and my son is attending Tzu Chi for the next 2 years. Right when he was potty trained and the school year started, I sent him over right away. He definitely has a better head start so far and I’m excited to participate in special events I missed out on last year. It’s been a journey being a parent and I’m l’ve made the right decision to experience every part of it with the guidance, care and love at Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool with my children.

Amazing people in this preschool! Both my boys went through Tzu Chi Great Love preschool, and it prepared them so well for their kindergarten. Caring teachers and staffs too! Highly recommended this school!

There's a reason why time and time again people send their kids to this preschool. I know parents with 3 kids and those 3 kids have gone through this preschool. Both of my kids are and have gone through this preschool. There's a reason why there's always a waiting list to get into this school. It is because it sets up your child in the right direction. It teaches your child in-depth character education that you will not get anywhere else. It teaches your child to eat vegetables. Yes the school is very strict. Yes you need to be potty trained. Yes you need to be on time. Yes you need to follow the rules of the school and wear the correct uniforms. But there's a reason that time and time again parents choose this preschool and it's because it starts off kids on the right path. It teaches kids to follow directions. It fosters their creativity. It also encourages them to recycle and reuse old materials to create a greener planet. There's also tea ceremony and flower arrangement classes. Under the stable direction of Ms Stephanie for the last 5+ years, the school is able to hire very talented and loving teachers. Don't hesitate, put your child on the waiting list today!

My child started school after a long shut down due to the pandemic. Like many parents I was worried and anxious but this school is amazing! The teachers are very friendly and they are welcoming. They provide a sanitizing station for the little one before she walks into class as well as checking her temperature every morning and check for masks. It is exciting to hear stories of what she learned in school that day. I also love that they are a vegetarian school which helps my child learn to eat vegetables. As a parent, being connected to the teachers is very important for my child's development, I was excited when they told me about an app which is interactive and allows me to view what my child is learning that day. The teachers upload images of the children as well as any school updates and I get excited to see how she is doing throughout the day. This school teaches children how to be kind and amongst the many other great things this school has to offer, I feel like this brings peace to me knowing they are happy and learning how to be kind to one another.

It's like a big nursing class. As long as the teacher says that the children don't listen, they say they can't control it. Especially the teachers in the big love class do one thing in front of their faces and do the other behind their backs, falsely accusing the children and the parents. There is no patience with children. It is said to be an American education. It has more rules and regulations than domestic kindergartens and only requires children to be obedient. When the teacher was asked to discipline, the teacher ignored American education and did not see how the teacher guided the children and stimulated them.

They provide programs from preschool to elementary school. They also have community programs form adults to kids like art, tai chi, yoga... etc
