We've been a Montessori of Walnut family for three years now and we love it. Ms. Laura, teachers and staff have all been wonderful to work with in developing my daughter's life and learning skills. Our daughter has excelled here and we have seen her growth week over week. This is a true Montessori school. The school offers extra curriculum (music, dancing, sports, and summer camps) and our daughter enjoys the classes, swim in the summer and dance, music and sports classes during the other seasons. She just turned four years old and is mastering simple math equations (addition and subtractions), recognizes words, writes her name without help. She is organized, cleans up after herself when she's done playing with her toys at HOME. Together we are raising we are raising a good citizen. Now that the infant room has been reopened, our son has joined the MOW family and just like we experienced the growth with our daughter we see him growing week over week. We highly recommend this school.

Both our kiddos went to this Montessori because it's truly the best one around. Ms. Laura and Ms. Christina run the place like a well oiled machine. It's clean, peaceful, fun, and organized. We adore all the teachers there, they have SO much heart. Our kids had an exceptional educational journey, with lots of mega-smiles the whole way. With a nurturing environment and dedicated teachers, it fostered their curiosity and independence. We're grateful for the school's commitment. I highly recommend going for a tour so you can check it out for yourself. (Especially the awesome playgrounds.) When you do, please give Ms. Laura and Ms. Christina some high fives and fist bumps for me.

My oldest son attended in 2019-2020. Mrs. Laura and all of the teachers we interacted with were amazing. My son was well prepared for kindergarten and learned valuable social skills. My daughter started in 2023 and it was great to see familiar faces. The staff remembered our family when we returned and it was an added comfort to know our daughter would be in good hands. Which is one of the main reasons both of our children attended this school. Both of my children have had great experiences and enjoyed going to school. The fun activities and programs available are an added bonus! We will definitely miss everyone when it is time to transition to our school district.

As a parent at Montessori of Walnut, I have been consistently impressed by the high quality of education my child receives. The personalized attention from teachers, coupled with a stimulating curriculum, has fostered a love for learning in my child. The facilities are well-maintained, and the school's emphasis on extracurricular activities has provided valuable opportunities for holistic development. The warm and welcoming atmosphere of the school community further enhances the overall educational experience. Overall, Montessori of Walnut exceeds expectations in providing a nurturing environment where children can thrive academically and personally. This would be my second child attending Montessori of Walnut and he is actually one of the first students attending the infant program. An overall great experience with my daughter years ago and an excellent infant program they have shown for my son now. My son loves to go to his school every morning.

My eldest daughter loved Montessori of Walnut (MOW). She started reading when she was 3 years old and the teachers individualized her lesson plans so that she can continued to be challenged. She flourished at MOW academically and socially. They have so many extracurricular activities they offer while the kids are at school including swimming, keyboarding, ballet, active youth and many more. All of my daughter's teachers were all wonderful. Because of the positive experience we had at MOW, I also sent my 2 other daughters to MOW.

Montessori of Walnut is awsome! Our little girl has been going to this school for 6 months now. She has learned so much. The teachers are kind. You feel the love right when you walk in the door.

Terrible!Horrible! My kids study here for almost 3 years, but my son tell me his teacher can't let him go to the restroom. When the students have to sleep at noon, the teachers talk with each other loudly. They have lots of secret rules, terrible!I will never let my son come back and will never recommend this school.

This is a terrible preschool academy! My children used to have classes here, because my children would have porridge at noon! I brought him lunch from home, so I went to the bathroom many times during my nap. The teacher criticized my child and my child kept urinating, which caused a psychological shadow to my child. She was a sunny child, but she cried every day when she went to preschool. She said she was afraid to go to school. I didn't call the police, but I regret it now.Later, we transferred to another school, and she was very happy. The teacher and the principal were very responsible.

Amazing school! Both my kids attended MOW and I couldn't be happier with the staff, teachers and Ms. Laura. My kids learned how to read, write and basic math during their time at MOW. This prepared them early on for elementary and are now excelling in most subjects. MOW is very clean and has taken all the right precautions for COVID-19. I highly recommend this school! You will not be disappointed!

Please note that these comments are based on observations over the years: There are other Montessori with higher capabilities in the area. If you need a place that will give your child individualized attention and encouragement to grow confident, this is not the place. There is lack of diversity among the students, I think it's because the director cherry picks the students- she pushes out the ones she doesn't like by ignoring issues/concerns. There's no actual curriculum for all ages in the school except for arts, crafts and circle time; not great for math and reading so your child may struggle once they start kindergarten. The teachers are mediocre and there is an additional cost for every service but the execution of the service is subpar. It seems like the teachers do their job but not love their job because they are not personable; they seem underpaid and overworked. There is lack of attention from teachers who need extra encouragement. Good ones obviously leave for better opportunity elsewhere. Some teachers are defensive about feedback or issues, ignoring unique needs for each kid. The lack of professionalism is obvious from Ms. Laura to the teachers. Ms. Laura can be highly unprofessional in setting where feedback is given about the school and doesn't seem to like talking to parents about solutions to problems.

Enrolled both of my kids here. One of them still attends. We love it! The staff, teachers and the Principle are amazing! Not only do they know every student's name, they know every student. Their personalities, likes and dis-likes, allergies, fears and what can make them happy. All this makes for a smooth transition for those first time students, for fast drop offs and wonderful experience. The only bad thing is they don't teach past after Kindergarten. If they did all my kids will still be enrolled. Highly recommend!

If I had to sum this school up in one word it would phenomenal!!!!! My son who is now in second grade attended this school. Because of the exemplary dedication to Teaching good values, and an elevated curriculum my son currently reads at a 4th grade level, and is doing advanced mathematics at his current school. My 4 year old daughter is currently a student at this school as well. It blows my mind at how advanced she is for her age. Site words, ABC's. Number lines, Writing, story telling, and counting to 100 are all skills she has mastered !!! I can't express the amount of gratitude I have for Ms. Laura, and all of exceptional teachers who pride themselves in providing a superior educational experience every single day !!!! #higherlearning #highereducation #makingdreamscome #buildingthefuture

Honestly, it took many years for me to finally post this review. I think potential families ought to know about my own personal experience with MOW. We searched high and lo for the right school for our child through yelp and actual visits to many preschools. We absolutely fell in love with MOW and with Laura (the director) so we decided place our child on the waiting list. The first year that my child was actually enrolled went fairly well, loving and attentive teachers. The second year, Laura told us our child "cannot be a part of" the performance/program because he was "having a hard time at practice." This absolutely tore our hearts and came to us as a slap in the face. I know MOW wanted the picture perfect performance for the families, but Laura didn't once think how that would hurt our child's feelings. We were never notified about any behavior issues leading up to that point. And if we were, we would certainly help our child by reinforcing rules/routines/behaviors that were expected. This leads us to believe that if your child does not fit a certain mold at MOW, Laura will find any reason to make you and your child feel uncomfortable which you will inevitably leave so that they can enroll a new child. I see this experience as a mixed blessing as we found a VERY loving, nurturing, non-cookie cutter, and no wait list preschool after our nightmare at MOW. Don't let the fact that there is a waitlist s***** you into thinking it's the right fit for your child! Our child has thrived tremendously in all aspects since leaving MOW. He participated in everything at the new preschool and has had a wonderful rapport with all the staff members. Very glad to have pulled my child out of MOW sooner than later!

I can't say enough great things about this school. Ms. Laura and all the other teachers are wonderful. There is no high turn around like other schools. Two of my children attended school here and they loved it! The curriculum is very well rounded. They also do small groups during the day so your child gets extra attention for subjects they maybe lacking in. They also had a music teacher come weekly to teach them new songs. You can choose to bring your children lunch (which they will heat for them if requested) or you can order lunch. Lunch is provided by a food service company. I really liked this because it was much less oily and much more healthy than some other preschools that buy their food from restaurants around them.
