I had one of the worst experiences with this store. I believe the owner goes by the name Amy. She often ignored my simple questions. When she was annoyed she even threatened to report to police. I didn't know what logic she was using - my questions were polite and there was nothing about attacking her physically. In the end, I provided her a UPS shipping label and asked her to drop the art at any UPS store or simply gave the it to a UPS driver, even for that, she refused! I would strongly advise anyone NOT to use her service.

I was in dire need to have a photo to be framed that I was submitting to a photography contest for the OC Fair. I only had 3 days to have it framed. I tried a few places in OC but they were unable to meet my needs. Thankfully, I found this place 15 minutes from home and Amy was very helpful. She answered all my questions and helped me meet all the requirements of framing for the contest. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come again to have future photos framed here. Thank you Amy!

I went to Art & Frame for the first time to have frame made for our oil painting. Amy is such a professional artist that not only helped me with the design of the frame, but gave a very reasonable price. I am so happy with the work that she did that I will only have my custom made frames done by Art & Frame Depot. We hung the framed painting in our bedroom and got great compliments. I highly recommend to visit the store and have Amy design your frame. You will be amazed!

I purchased a blanket with the artwork of Nanami Cowdroy with the plan of having it framed and hung on a wall at home. I have never done this before and had no clue what was entailed in the process. I brought the blanket to Amy to see what she would recommend. The quoted price initially caught me off guard since it was double what I thought it would cost, but then again I had no clue how much attention, time and material would be required. However, by looking at the completed pieces in her shop, I knew this blanket would be in good hands. (She beautifully showcases art pieces, artifacts, scarves and paintings from all over the world.) The patterned silk fabric was glued on wood to create the matting inside the shimmery navy blue wood frame. The blanket was glued to a wood platform using flower paste so the felt material of the blanket would not be compromised. The blanket was protected behind plexiglass and ready to hang using a heavy-duty frame hanger. The framed blanket ended up being over 5'x7'. We transported it by floating it on top of a truck bed with 2x4's, blankets and tie-downs. Amy's vision and artistic creativity was beyond what I could have ever imagined for this blanket. It's such a beautiful work of art that we get to enjoy everyday. Thank you so much!

We needed an award to be sent internationally and didn't factor how long the shipping would take and realized that we had 24 hours to get it framed. Without anything but my inarticulate description and some dimensions Amy was able to craft something up overnight, place and seal when I arrived with the award in the morning, and even educate me about the different qualities of acrylic. 11/10 experience. If I could give more than five stars I definitely would. Thanks Amy!

I could not be more happy. The owner, Amy, works very very hard to ensure your painting is taken care of and to explain the process. She devoted extra time to help me fix a painting that had been damaged. This type of personal work ethic is not something that can be taught, it is just a part of her personality. I would be confident to use her services again and I know that I will get a fine product. Also, her prices are very reasonable as well.

I'm pretty sure Maggie "Serial 1-star Reviewer" is confused because the work here is top notch. Iam beyond happy and the results honestly exceed expectations. During the consult, Amy proved herself to be incredibly knowledgeable and skillful, so my expectations were pretty high. But it's better than I thought it could be.So my grandpa's scroll. My grandpa was gifted this calligraphy scroll and he gave it to my brother before he passed. My brother hung it in his home, but in the home with a two year old, became ripped on the bottom. During his move, my brother asked if I wanted it...um HECK YEA.I don't know anything about scrolls and I wasn't sure if it could be re...scrolled. Or if I'd end up framing it. My mom thought it was possible to have it redone and found Art & Frame Depot through some Chinese version of yelp. Amy picked up the phone and very happily said yes of course they can rescroll a scroll! Come on by!We went, showed her the scroll and she immediately came up with three options. The easiest and cheapest would be to cut the part where the calligraphy is on (because it's on a separate paper from the rest of the scroll, who knew!) and frame it. The more expensive and time consuming option would be to lift the calligraphy paper off the scroll paper and reglue it onto new paper. But she warned me that not only was it difficult, there is a possibility that it could still get damaged in the process. The third would have been to cut that portion off, and glue it onto a new scroll paper, but it would make rolling it up more difficult because that area would then be extra thick.I was going to go with the third because honestly, it wouldn't have been fair to her to try to unglue a piece of paper decades old from another piece of paper, with all that pressure not to rip it. I can barely do that with anything glued less than a few minutes together! Plus once I found a place to hang it, it was going to stay hung, so the thickness in the middle really wouldn't have bothered me that much.As we were talking through options, she then realized, wait...there's another option! If she uses fabric, it should be thinner and roll well. She showed us her fabric options and they were gorgeous. Yes that option please! So we went that route, she gave us suggestions on color (the scroll was originally on beige paper which I wasn't a fan of) and border color. I had thought to shorten the length too, but she knew about scrolls and said the original length was appropriate for it.I think we spent close to 2 hours in there learning from her and choosing which direction we wanted to go. And she was completely patient and kind about the whole thing. (This is not the first time my mom and I were choosing fabric together. We can take a while because we have similar tastes but it honestly takes a while to come to the same conclusion). She said two weeks and less than $300. What a steal! I was totally expecting someone at her level of expertise to be charging an insane amount. She does do a lot of framing and scrolls, and even proudly showed us pictures of other works she's done.My mom just went to pick it up today (I wasn't able to make it) and she was super excited. Turns out Amy went the extra mile and still thinned out the back of the calligraphy paper for us a bit. So incredible. And the final product...I mean the picture speaks for itself!! (My mom said when she was taking a picture for me, Amy insisted that she take a good one, so she STOOD ON A CHAIR holding it up for me mom to take). Absolute gem.I seriously can't thank her enough!

We have been dealing with A&F Depot for over 10 years. Each time has been a wonderful experience. We bought two pictures 10 years ago and had them shipped to Taiwan when we relocated there 5 years ago. When we returned we just brought the pictures home with us leaving the frames behind. We showed Amy photos of the original frames, and she matchedthem up perfectly. Both pictures took less than a week and the cost was far less than we anticipated.

Wow what great service! After many years of looking I've found a place that combines low price with excellent quality. Working with Amy is a pleasure. She has a great eye and she always makes the right suggestion. Amy knows how to frame literally anything. Many cool examples in her shop have given me ideas for the future.

Hands down, the most kindhearted, honest and professional framers I have encountered. Sure, the bar is LOW - I've encountered a ton of garbage framers who charge an arm and a leg and disregard the value of the art you're leaving behind with them. So much of the relationship between customer and framer requires trust, and, officially - Art and Frame Depot is the only framer that I trust. I will be back again and again.

This is the second local framer I've used recently and I am Sticking with them! They did a great job but the reason why I'm leaving a five star review now is because my dad needed a custom frame job done immediately and they accommodated us. Excellent quality, VERY fair pricing and friendly as can be. Thank you!!!

These are examples of artwork I brought in for Art and Frame Depot to custom frame. As you can see, their framing brought each piece to life!! Their work is superb!
