“This one's personal. Years ago, when my friends and I went to see the latest blockbusters, it was either Hollywood or Lakewood Center. Yes, this was the premier theater in southeast L.A. County. Unfortunately, the previous operator forgot that somewhere along the way.In comes Starlight Cinemas, a company I'm already a fan of because of my experience at its other area theaters. The brand reopened this treasure over the summer, and has made nonstop improvements since. Gone is the wall that blocked-off much of the spectacular, chandelier-filled lobby. Making its return is the glorious lobby snack bar (one of two in the complex) with reasonably-priced concessions. The theater is clean and spacious, and it looks like the promised seating upgrades are underway. Staff couldn't be friendlier. The promotional programs (inc bargain days) of other Starlight Cinemas are found here too.This is a classic theater experience. As I said above, it's an absolute treasure.”

“The Japanese Village is one of those places that you need to visit at least once. Weekends are are always packed and you get to see some very interesting people and attire. It can be overwhelming at times but entertaining nonetheless. There are two bakeries and the pastries and breads are always fresh. Lots of little restaurants to choose from so take your time and walk around and check the menus first. Whichever you pick, it will be delicious. The grocery store is filled with unique produce so make sure to check it out.”

“I have been consistently coming to this spot for a few weeks now to get a morning coffee and I feel right at home with them. The fellow who works the early morning shift (I usually stop in Thursday around 730) is everything you would want in a convenience store clerk: friendly, welcoming, enthusiastic, helpful, personable. He turned me onto a banana nut muffin with my coffee using great salesmanship and helped me to save $ by convincing me to sign up for the 7/11 app. What a great neighborhood spot for the Lawndale community, and for anyone heading westbound on Redondo beach Blvd in the morning.”

“My friends and I were leaving brunch and decided to get tattoos. We literally looked up a place and LA Tattoo ended up being the right place to be . The first person I spoke with was rude and I definitely didn't want him to even THINK about touching my skin. The second person I spoke with was much nicer, his name was Anthony . They don't take cards, cash only. They have an atm in there so , there's that. I got "everything will be okay" in red writing around my ankle and it was $200. My friend got a Garfield head on her left wrist & that was also $200. I would definitely go back to Anthony and get another tattoo by him.”

“Love the excess of parking and easy exits. However very hot in the parking structure. The store itself is typically tidy. Today I went to get dog food and the self check out if my favm there is always someone tending to the line and heloing out the registers. The restrooms are always clean. And their hime decor section is always different. One downfall is their value section is always.. Bald and disorganized. Also!! Starbucks inside!”
