The WORST useless manager! I cannot believe how is she even hired as a manager. I purchased 6 items from the Walnut Creek Zara store. When I got home, I was showing all dresses to my husband and noticed one of the dress has a hole on the left side. The zipper seam was coming off. I kept it aside to exchange it. After 10 days I went back to store, and asked the cashier to exchange it because it is damaged. She called her manager. The useless manager came, looked at the dress and said I cannot return it because it is an online purchase. I said no I purchased it from the store, here is the receipt( I had digital receipt on my phone) She assumed it was online just because it was not a paper receipt. Then she goes, oh let’s see when was it purchased. I showed her the purchased date which was 10 days before. There return policy is 30days. She said I cannot return it because it is damaged and We will not be able to resell it. I said, this is the condition that I purchased it. All I am asking for is to exchange it for the one that’s not damaged. She said they are out of stock. I asked to exchange it with the different dress that is in same prize range (around $80). I didn’t event asked for money back. But she kept saying we cannot resell it so I cannot accept it. I was so disappointed. I don’t know if it’s just this Zara store or all other locations are the same. How can they sell a dress with a hole in it but cannot exchange it? This manager needs better training to handle such situations.

Zara's service and quality have really declined recently. The staff near the fitting rooms were quite rude—one of them even gestured for me to come over with her fingers, which felt very unprofessional. Honestly, it seems like only the cashiers are polite and efficient, while the rest of the service needs serious improvement. And what's going on with the clothing quality? The fall collection is far below what you’d expect from Zara, especially compared to other brands!

Not coming back again. Manager with a bad attitude. The return took forever as she had to fold the entire bag of clothes before issuing return

Employee was racist and rude. I was walking to try something on and the employee assumed I was going to steal the clothing item. Do better

The clothes were very nice but quite expensive for what they were, they charge more for the brand than for the clothes.
Children's clothing is also very expensive, since good quality can be found much cheaper elsewhere. It's not worth much.

NEVER try return anything here and the manager (and we all know who she is! She is the manager there as of June 2024) at the Walnut Creek, Broadway Plaza store is literally the WORST customer service person I have ever, ever, ever encountered. I went to return 3 items under 30 days, with the receipt, tags on, never worn, in store & this manager said something was wrong with the systems and she couldn't return them, I had to call customer service. I called customer service in store and they said they needed to talk to the manager in store, in order to get the items returned - SHE REFUSED TO GO ON THE PHONE, to her own Zara customer service agent to resolve it. Omg have you ever heard of such madness. I was so embarrassed in the store, I didn't know what to do. The agent on the phone asked to speak to another employee there but I didn't want to ask another employee in store as I thought that Zara Broadway plaza manager might retaliate against them. I asked her again and she walked away from me. In a way, I almost felt bad for her, was it just an awful personality, no training, wrong hire? I love Zaras clothes but I just can't ever go there again. She needs to be fired, customer service comes from the top and that whole situation what a hot mess. For the first time in my life, I called customer service to complain someone, even though I know nothing will be done. Zara should do better and do the right thing for their customers, Zara employees (and brand!), clearly this woman has had MULTIPLE complaints & needs to go. I can't imagine what the people reporting to her are experiencing...but they are Californian employees, so if I were Zara leadership I would be listening - good luck with that!

Appalling!!!!. I can't understand how a clothing store doesn't allow you to use the dressing room to measure your clothes, because surely they were 1 hour away from closing??? Or just because they didn't want to? In short, what a bad thing, and bad attention. .

Store is constantly in disarray. Closed dressing rooms at 6:30 today and refused to let us try on one top we were going to but, they close at 8….. claim they’re too short staffed. Yet, not hiring. How ironic.

Stellar fashion, well made and constructed clothing with a variety of price points. Zara is on point. Happy to have the WC store to rely on as backup to the SF locations.

This review is specifically for John who I was lucky enough to be helped by the other day. I came in looking for a specific dress in which my Zara app said was most likely out of stock. John was extremely helpful, patient and searched for about 30 minutes till he found me the last dress! Can’t say that about most associates these days. John definitely deserves a raise for all his hard work and amazing customer service. Thanks again John!!!
