I had a truly disappointing experience with Walnut Creek dealership. From the moment I arrived, the customer service was lacking. The staff was unresponsive and unhelpful, failing to address my concerns or provide clear information. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issues, they were dismissive and unprofessional. The lack of communication and respect was astounding. I would strongly advise against doing business with this dealership based on my experience.

We came for a test drive and extended look at the Honda Odyssey Elite, as we were deciding between this van and its competitor. Before this visit, we’ve been in contact with many dealerships of both Honda and its competitor. Tony (Sales) spent a significant amount of time with us during the test drive, walking us through the features, and through all of our testing of the vehicle in the scenarios we’d use it. Ultimately, we decided we preferred the competitor’s minivan for our needs (no fault of Tony) but we wanted to leave this review since Tony was friendly and the most knowledgeable of any salesperson we’ve dealt with at the many dealerships we’ve talked to during this process. Tony did offer a discount on the vehicle to try convincing us to purchase it the same day. This dealership also had the best financing rate I’ve seen so far from many dealerships of both Honda and its competitor. Tony and David (Manager) were respectful in our departure when we decided not to proceed with it. I’ll certainly be back here if considering a Honda to replace our other vehicle in the future!

CAUTIONARY TALE FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERS SERVICE DEPARTMENT. Purchased a new vehicle (2012 CRV) from Walnut Creek Honda (WCH). In 2015 the car began making a bad grinding noise at cold start up. Brought it to WCH who confirmed the next day that the grinding was observed on cold restart. Advised that they thought it was the VTC sensor and that American Honda Engineering was investigating the issue, but there were no fix at that time. They also indicated that their mechanics didn't believe there was any damage occurring to the engine because of the noise.
Over the years we lived with the embarrassing noise. WCH nor American Honda ever communicated with us that they had a fix for the grinding noise. All routine maintenance was performed on the vehicle as required. Fast forward to 2024, and we contacted the WCH for the recommended, and more significant 100K mile service, and asked them about a repair of the continuing grinding noise. I showed them their invoice showing that American Honda was "investigating" the noise. They said that the VTC sensor was the suspected part of the emission system, and that the warranty expired at 70K miles. I told them that we were never contacted to complete warranty repairs on the vehicle. They said they would contact American Honda regarding the circumstances. Upon completion of the $1,900 major recommended service work we picked up the car. They said it was taking longer than usual to hear back from American Honda regarding the VTC warranty issue. Several weeks and multiple calls later I was informed by the Senior Service Manager, Brock, that American Honda would not honor any warranty work since the car was beyond the 70K miles. "Well as your customer Brock, who was never informed there was a fix, you certainly are going to complete the repair at little to no cost, aren't you?" He said all he could do was offer a 20% discount on the $1,200 repair. Excuse me, this is simply bad faith management. Their service paperwork clearly shows that we notified them of the problem when the car was well below the 70K, they acknowledged the suspected problem, but never informed us to bring the car in while under warranty. Now they want us to pay $1,000 for the warranty repair? THERE WAS A REPAIR PROCEDURE ISSUED BY AMERICAN HONDA (Service Bulletin 10041669-6712, AND WCH MADE NO ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY US OF IT. Now you won't honor the repair work. Shame on you.
UPDATE: I was contacted by the owner of the dealership, Gordon Walton, who was very apologetic about my experience with the service department. He seemed very genuine about the lack of communication on the part of the dealership and American Honda. After discussing the matter we agreed to an amicable solution to getting the necessary repair completed. The work is complete and I am very appreciative of the follow up by Gordon. Thank you!

I had a fantastic buying experience at Walnut Creek Honda. My salesperson Aden was very responsive, clear in his communications and friendly. They had the car I wanted ready for a test drive and it looked almost new (3 years old used Honda Clarity PHEV). They gave me a fair price and were willing to negotiate on the price a little bit. Michael did a great job finishing up the sale when Aden needed to help a customer he'd been working with.
The finance team went above and beyond! They were unaware of the federal used EV tax credit but after I sent them links to the IRS website they signed up and got it working in one day! This meant I got $4000 off the price of the car. I called literally over 20 dealerships and only 2 others knew about this program. All the others said "no we don't do that and we're not going to", losing my business. Nazir and Alan figured it out and provided excellent service. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a car from them again

We did extensive research before reaching out to Walnut Creek Honda. They had all 3 colors we were considering for our Odyssey. Matthew Curren was responsive and honest, with a lot of the numbers review via text before we made the drive to WC. He was clear that someone else would be helping us once there. Aden Azarcon was our salesperson. Very nice demeanor and not pushy. We left satisfied with the deal and thrilled with our new van.

This dealership is definitely the one I will always recommend, me and my family went to go look at their selections of cars and had our eyes set on a 2018 Honda Accord, during the process of buying not once did we or I (the buyer) ever feel pressured to make a decision quick, the salesman Aden was the one who helped us out with our purchase and I would definitely say his customer service was 10/10, I remember at some point during the sale my mother got hungry and Aden gave her a pack of sliced mangos! He always gave us the time we needed to look over everything to the very last detail on the car and never once was he rude or pushy which I have had experiences like that with other dealerships. This was my first time buying a vehicle and I can definitely say this was a very good experience overall, everyone there that we spoke with made sure we were taken care of and explained every detail very carefully and clearly. Every-time we had any questions and would email WC Honda we would always get a response back quickly! Definitely recommend checking out this dealership and asking for the salesman Aden!

Our family has been a very loyal Honda drivers for many years. My husband and I looked at the Honda CRV EX cars in their lot and did a test drive. Tony (sale rep) was very friendly and helpful. It was a great experience working with Tony until we sat down in the showroom to talk about the deal. We made an offer, they made a counter offer, when we asked them if they could bring it down a little more, that’s when David (Sales GM) just stood up and left the table. It was very rude for him to do that. David made it clear that he didn't want our business. We were very serious buying a car today but when David said "good bye", we were shocked. I guess it's not a big deal loosing a customer. So, we decided to take our business to other Honda dealership that we would get much better customer service and more professional than this place "Walnut Creek Honda". I will never go back and will be sure to share this sour experience with my family and friends.

I have been a very loyal Honda driver for over twenty years, and was in the market for a new or used hrv. I looked at the cars in their lot and did a test drive. It was a pretty good experience until we sat down in the showroom to talk about money. I made an offer, they made a counter offer, when I asked them if they could bring it down a little more, that’s when they just stood up and left the table. It was extremely rude and made it clear that they don’t want my business. So, I took my business to Toyota who were 100 times more professional than this place.
