Two stars based on a combination of 5 stars for service and 0 stars for pricing. I always expect higher prices for repairs at dealership but these guys are off the charts expensive compared to the reputable independent mechanics in the area. No chance I would use them for anything post-warranty coverage after the quote I received today. OEM parts are cheap, so the markup on labor is insanely high, even compared to the other luxury car dealerships that I have experience with.
UPDATE: Issues identified by Volvo with latest servicing that magically appeared days after our warranty expired (e.g., leaking hose, bad/misfiring fuel injectors, etc.) somehow escaped their 50,000 mile service even though it was readily apparent to the mechanics who subsequently worked on the car that these issues were not new (i.e., the issues likely existing at the time of the servicing when the car was still under warranty). I have no idea how these issues were not identified at that time . . . . could it be that that they don't actually inspect the key components of the car, including the engine, beyond checking it via their software diagnostic tool??? Suspect.

I’m very happy with the service I received at Volvo Walnut Creek. They run a really efficient Service Dept. My Service Advisor Tyler was excellent, he got me in and out quickly and even took the time to answer some questions I had about the car. I will go back to this dealership.

We had a great experience purchasing a used vehicle at this dealership. Mo was our guy and he was excellent to work with. They did not play any game. Everything was clearly presented in front of us and no one pressured us into buying anything. Highly recommend

I give 2 stars, just to show that I am being thoughtful about my negative review to the service department of Volvo Walnut Creek. The combination of lack of competence to the work being done, lack of communication, very high labor cost, amongst other negative sentiments, lead me to never taking my car there again and lead me to recommended you not to take your car there to get fixed either.

The service department was ready for me when I arrived, the service writer collected the necessary information, prepared the necessary paperwork and directed me to the loaner person for my car. The service was complete between the discribed time fram. My car was out front and ready when I pulled up.
