Another tentacle in the Kafka-esque bureacracy of Verizon Wireless.
I am writing this review of this particular location because I have had much worse experiences here than any other Verizon store, in my experience, other Verizon stores at least walk you thru the bureacracy issues when there is a problem. I have been a customer of Verizon wireless for about 20 years and likely will switch the next time I buy a new phone and change my plan, partly because of my experience with this location.
Nothing is ever this stores' responsibility when something goes wrong and they are quick to point out when something is "your fault". Example: Purchased a new phone. It did not work. Could not return it at the store. Had to call Verizon. Verizon sends a new phone. Verizon messes up the deliver because they did not include the apartment number at my address. I go back to Verizon. It takes a week to correct the address (I'm leaving out that both UPS and Verizon each told me that its the others fault). Finally, get my replacement phone back. It's a "refurbished phone". It works fine but is not new and I paid for new and I'm told that it would not be replaced had I not selected a warranty plan (yes, there was an intermediate step contacting the warranty company). I also was told to return my old phone, the one I originally replaced, to the store within a month. With all the back-and-forth, I did not return it within a month. When I tried to return it, they could not even tell me the original reason why I needed to return it and were quick to dismiss all the back-and-forth I had about replacing the new phone that was defective.
They never validate your concerns. Its a simple principle: you buy something new and it doesn't work it should get replaced free of charge, new, and quick.
I've had other issues with this location. I once walked into this store to buy a new phone after one died and they could not get it from the stock room because, according to an employee, the safe was locked up and he did not have the code due to robbery issues. When I shared this story with a manager a year later, she did not validate it and instead told me it must be another location. For the sake of not disturbing other customers in the store I simply agreed.
I once walked in to ask a question late in the day and was told that I needed to come back tommorow. When I came back the next day, I was told that the issue could not be solved in person at the store. When I asked why the person yesterday could not just tell me that and save me a trip, the response was "who did you speak to? do you remember the name?". I did not and the presumption was that I must be lying even though they are supposed to log in all visits.
My experience here was so unsatisfactory, I am actually taking the time to write a long review. The customer is never "right" here and I doubt most of the employees even know how to navigate Verizon's own bureacracy.

Branch in Bothelo Walnut Creek they are LIAR. They said it is free phone but when i saw my bill after a month there is a charge for each phone unfortunately when i signed the papers i did not read because i trust them what they said, i went back to store when i talk to them they said it is not free. Francis

Horrible service. Don't come here. Went in looking to upgrade my phone, met with rude and unknowledgeable staff. Basically told me to go to the Apple store or buy online from Verizon instead.

Verizon is great at getting you in the door and always assertive about everything! New staff are friendly and helpful! Good customer service and nice area location near restaurants and shopping! Bike trails are close by and green parks!

I was trying to return some home Internet equipment and a phone and the staff were unhelpful and unable to complete my request. As a matter of fact, the salesman walked away from me while I still had questions, and started to help someone else. Later on, I tried calling customer service, and they mailed me an envelope without a return label. Real helpful. Thanks a lot Verizon.

The associates at Verizon in general, don't seem to be trained. There is a disconnect everywhere at Verizon (online or in-store). Nobody at Verizon knows their product well enough. I came here recently to migrate my cellular service to Verizon from another provider and upgrade to a newer phone. That went ok I thought, but also got upsold on their internet services. So, I decided to test the internet services within the 30-day trial period offered by Verizon, brought the internet gateway box home, and activated the service a few days later. Lo and behold, for some bizarre reason, that *completely* disrupted the cellular service on the Verizon phone, so much so that the cellular service was no longer working. I was forced to spend 6 hrs on a weekend debugging the issue (when I had FAR more important things to get to). Turns out, the people at the store who configured the phone, and sent me off with the internet gateway box did not know that while the phone had a physical SIM, the eSIM would also be activated when the wifi access gets set up on the phone. That would break the cellular service momentarily. This is something that none of the associates (in-store or online) were aware of. To the associates - you call yourself a customer service agent and you literally sell 2 or 3 services day in, day out. How do you not know something as fundamental as that?? And how Verizon would not properly train their people on basic things is also for the books. Be prepared to waste your time figuring basic issues out and doing the associates' jobs if you are with Verizon. Wait till a lawsuit materializes against Verizon momentarily, with this kind of service. Yet another pathetic business in the telecom and internet space.

My bill needed to be paid so I didn't have to waste time signing in or waiting for someone. Instead I was okay! So cool to pay my bill on the Kiosk with cash and be on time managing my business ! It saved my life riding my bicycle outside although please understand my bike kickstand for parking inside the front door and digging around for money to get the bill payed correctly! Thanks VERIZON for letting me share the scoop! Just a quick note to let the employees know what a great job I think they are doing maintaining the peace!

My husband and I visited Verizon to activate his new phone, and we were assisted by Cameron (I hope I didn't misspell his name). Cameron's service was exceptional. He was not only efficient but also demonstrated a profound knowledge of a wide range of products and the latest tech industry standards. We thoroughly enjoyed our interaction with him, as it was evident that he was both knowledgeable and passionate about his work.

I just upgraded my ultra-old phone for iphone15 and after one day I am in love! I had an appointment and was helped by a great customer service person - Lynn - who explained the new billing and upgrades very clearly. She also helped me to remain calm when I realized I didn't remember one of my passwords. LOL I highly recommend this nice Verizon business. Thanks Lynn!!
