disorganized. went to pick up a package there; first day the person working there said he "couldn't find it". he did find it the next day (aka it was there all along, as it said on the notice i got), so I wasted extra bus fare and time having to go there twice to retrieve it. also, it was for a package that had only like 5 days or less before it was returned to sender (i think 1 day by the day i actually got ahold of it), so it's very important for this reason as well to find it the first time the customer goes to receive it. mostly annoyed about the bus fare tho

Never thought I’d write a positive review for a post office, but I left feeling incredibly impressed at the service I received here. I came in with a large box that was probably 50% full. Seeing how high the shipping cost was, he helped me find a smaller box and hacked it so my items fit perfectly into the box, saving me $50. I can’t believe he took the time to help me, going above and beyond when he did not have to. Thank you Freddy!

Yes, this is your favorite Yelp! elite member of the community letting you know that I had a tremendously successful experience at the Walnut Creek post office, just the other day.The people behind the counter were not only cheaper than the competition but for $17 flat, I was able to send my shaving kit to an 86 year old gentleman in Fresno and have it literally arrive in less than two days!(How do you like them apples UPS?)And what about the helpfulness and the kind of people that work behind the counter? They were far better than I deserve and even managed to complete the transaction in milliseconds, with a smile so big... You had to remove it with plastic surgery!Next time you have a package that Hass to absolutely... Positively... Arrive in less than a couple days... Who are you gonna call? No, not Ghostbusters.Drop by your friendly neighborhood, Walnut Creek, post office... And tell them, John Reed, your favorite, Yelp!, broadcaster, aficionado, and humble narrator... Says hi!

I was kind of dreading stopping into this USPS the other day, since I was in a hurry and the line was semi-long, however, their employee Bobbi was moving people through in a fast and efficient manner, while not being rude or rushing anyone. Super helpful and kind to everyone, which was sincerely appreciated. I was out of there waaaay faster than at most of the post office locations I usually stop into - terrific customer service here!

Go here instead of the UPS store in the same plaza. Sometimes there is a line and takes time but they are so much more friendly and helpful here!!!

Clueless supervision! Drop boxes at Rossmoor are often stuffed indicating the carriers aren't doing their jobs, allowed to be flexible or just plain observant. Management won't reassign employees to locations where they are needed - never had an issue in Moraga or Orinda but this location seems to be understaffed.

The big plus is that this post office is across the street from Rosmoore and kind of hidden which means that is not as crowded as the Walnut Creek post office. The bad news is that many senior citizens from Rossmoor go to this post office so it can be kind of slow. I still prefer this location. Usually they have 2 people working and they are generally nice and patient. It is still a US post office so don't expect anything really great but it is the lesser of post office evils if you go in with the right attitude. Plenty of parking.
