What a horrible experience. Expired food products galore, make sure to check the date. There was an item that was over a year expired. Then on further shopping I discovered that they have many products from Israeli settlements. It’s a big pass for me, I prefer not to participate in genocide and apartheid. There is a much better Middle Eastern market in Concord. Clean and with non expired food items.

Hands down our absolute favorite store to buy our Persian food ingredients! We no longer live in the area and will drive 3 hours to shop here for sweets, meats, and special ingredients and condiments. The selection is vast, but the access to fresh and quality Persian Sweets is what keeps us coming back. Plus the large selection and freshness of their items and produce.

Probably the worst service I've ever experienced in a market. The men handling the bread and meats were super rude when we asked for some service. A lot of the food there is expired and everyone working there just has the most unfriendliest demaneor. Never shopping here again, unfortunately

This isn't your rundown, terrible typical deli/corner store... The food is INCREDIBLE, the grocery selection avant-garde, beautiful and unique in the best way, the feel is foreign and inspiring and adventurous.... Went there twice while working in the area, HIGHLY recommend.... Anybody ranking this spot low is out of their mind!

I really enjoy coming to this hidden gem in Walnut Creek. The owner is friendly and the baked bread and cooked food are both very good and home style. The reason for the 3 stars is because last time I was there the guy behind the counter put the salad shirazi without a plastic wrapper in the same bag as the baklava!! This is a sour salad dressing which naturally spilled out and marinated my baklava so my baklava was completely ruined ?. Can you imagine the thoughtlessness that must have gone into that? I was quite upset when I got home to see the bag soaked in the salad shirazi dressing and my baklava completely ruined ??.Please pay attention to what you’re doing when putting items together so no other customers need to go through this undesirable outcome after spending their money at your store.

The cashier is a smug teenager who is the only source of the English language. He is rude, unhelpful, and thinks it's cool to hit on Muslim women who wear hijab. When asked if all meat was halal, his reply was, " Everything is halal here except the employees." I personally was embarrassed to take my non-Persian friends here with his behavior and his passive elder who just sits there in a chair cackling and muttering under his breath. A real embarrassment of the diaspora. That kid needs a new outlet in life, and they need staff who are friendly and willing to greet their customers and communicate with respect and dignity. I will not return here. Their bread is not fresh, and it's gross to see the cashier kid eating at the counter when you're trying to check out.

Not bad but pay attention to the expiration dates. An Armenian appetizer that I almost bought had “Best before 04.2019”. Sinalco soda that I bought had expired in 08.2022.

This market changed a lot since last few years. Food quality is not as good as before. I can’t trust the prices there even though there is price tag on them. when you want to pay they charge you more and It is happening a lot. Today I went there and I saw the cashier was using F words with people who are working on the kitchen and I was with my daughter. There is no respect in this store. I was a regular customer but from today onward I am not going anymore.

Good Middle East market, with a lot of choices. The prepared foods are also good. Just be careful with the packaged bread as they, more often than not, are old and moldy in the middle of the package
