Although my journey in actually receiving the bike was not what I would call smooth, the guys here are the real deal. I've talked with Brian and Mark, both of whom were very helpful. Eric is the one though who sold me the bike and is the one who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He is awesome and I'm very thankful for all that he did for me. I would not hesitate at all to purchase from this store again.”
“Thanks to Tim at Athletic Outpost I can hike steep hills again without knee pain. After studying my stride, patiently listening to my issues and what activities I do, he outfitted me in a pair of shoes with a trail hiking vibram sole and a pair of compression calve sleeves. Made a world of difference. I can hike steep trails again without needing to resort to a knee brace or hiking poles. Or pain relieving meds afterwards. I am so grateful!”
“I have been trying out and buying clubs here for the last 2 years and I am so satisfied with the staff - their knowledge, patience and flexibility - that I am giving them a 5 star rating! Extra kudos to Mitch, Joe and Clayton!”
“This was a nice find in the center of Walnut Creek. I needed tennis balls and grip tape, and was delighted to find a compact store with just about every possible sport item I could want. I will be going back for their excellent selection and pricing of shoes. There’s a good parking lot in the back, and the staff was friendly.”
“I stopped by for new jog bras and not only did I find several options, but I found several options for lite hiking pants. They also had a long sleeve spf 50 white breathable (other colors available) shirt for hiking. Very satisfied with my new stylish options for outdoor mountain living!”
“A favorite store for the athletic women in your life. Great colors and fits for bodies of all shapes and sizes. We especially love the shirts, swimsuits and summer dresses. A wonderful staff and a very clean and inviting store.”
“There are no other (!) swim shops in the larger Bay Area that sell competitive tech suits. Thank goodness for Elsmore in Walnut Creek! They have competitive suits and tech suits for youth and adults, goggles, caps, long swim coats, other clothing, and sandals. The young woman on the phone was so helpful in telling me available sizes, colors, and prices before I had to drive all the way out to them, and when we finally made it, just before closing, the young man helped us more as the size we thought would fit was actually too big! I just wanted to provide a thumbs up review so that people looking for competitive swimwear can find this store!”

Especially when my English is not very good.”

“This is the Lululemon on my way to work. I always come here instead of the one near my home. Because the staff here is super nice, and they have more items to select. I haven been to some Lululemon stores. This is one of the best! Great customer service!”
“I've been buying shoes (and recycling them) at Sport's Basement for years. Knowledgeable staff and customer care are tops. I also like the low-key atmosphere and displays written with magic markers on cardboard!”
