I recently went back to Midas in Walnut Creek for additional repairs. This time I needed an anti-freeze tube replaced. They could have stiffed me for a new radiator. But they were honest, which I've found a rarity among auto repair shops. I have lived in the area and practiced law for over 40 years. I was so pleased with their obvious honesty and lack of pressure that I also bought a set of tires as long as my car was in the shop. I have a 2000 Volvo that I am trying to make last into my 80's. They could have lied to me about the prospective results from oil leak trouble shooting and caused me to spend $1,000's of dollars, but they didn't. In my experience most of their competitors would have sent me on an expensive wild goose chase. I went to them for exhaust services last year, but am pleasantly surprised at the full extent of their available services. I put trust and honesty first in auto repairs, ahead of skill and deceit. I highly recommend Midas of WC. Ask for, "Sam," and tell them, "Dan sent me!"

This was my first time in this establishment. I usually do my own vehicle services but was in town on a Tuesday to smash some tacos . I needed an oil change and found a great coupon so I stopped in to let these guys do the work and deal with the mess. I was greeted by Kevin in the lobby and he was super friendly attentive and professional. There was a brief issue with my coupon so Sam came to help and he was great too. There is a bar across the street so you can have a beer or two while waiting for your service. They call you when done. Close your bar tab and pick up the car super happy. The pricing is really competitive and the staff is awesome

I am very disappointed with the quality of service I received at Midas today. I brought my 2014 Nissan Versa here for brake pads today and ended up almost crashing on the way home because of an error made by the mechanic. I brought my vehicle to this location today to have the brakes inspected and replaced. I called the number listed online and spoke to gentleman by the name of Rod. Rod said he could squeeze me in today but I would have to get the promptly, which I did. He said he would give me a call once the inspection is complete to inform me of his findings. After approx. 20minutes he called to inform me that the brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. He also informed me it would cost $572.85, which I agreed to. This seemed high to me compared to some of the other quotes I had seen online but today was my day off so I just wanted to get it done. After about four and a half hours Rod called me back to say that my vehicle was ready to be picked up. I had an Uber pick me up and drop me off at Midas. When I got to the register Rod said he didn't calculate the tax into the original quote he gave me so the total so the total actually ended up being $604.48. I found this to be a deceptive business tactic. If someone didn't have the money to pay for the extra tax Midas can legally keep your vehicle and charge you for every day they have store your vehicle while you try to figure out how to get the money.Long story short, I was on the way home and I heard a knocking sound almost like a jackhammer. I knew it must have been something they did to the car because it definitely was not making that sound when I dropped it off. The car was breaking fine but when I heard the sound I freaked out and slammed on the brakes to make sure they were working and almost got rear ended by the person behind me. I called Midas on the phone and told them what was happening and that I would be bringing it straight back. I was nervous to be driving it and considered having a tow truck take me back. When I got back they had me pull into the garage and they promptly started working on it. After about 10-15 minutes they had found the issue and resolved it. It was in fact an error on behalf of the mechanic.

Needed a new fuel pump, 2 running lights replaced and an oil change. Midas did a fine job getting my vehicle back to me in a reasonable amount of time, especially since there was a holiday day involved plus a Sunday. I have been to this business several times and it's been worth it.

Went in Monday to get my brakes looked at, because I wasn't sure what was going on. Called to see if they had time to take a look at what's going on. Sam helped me with my Honda, I dropped it off first thing & called me to let me know what needed to be replaced and what I'm looking at for pricing, explained to me what was going on along the way and why my car was making noises. Extremely helpful and definitely made me feel better leaving, answered any questions or concerns I might've had, definitely recommend this place! 10/10 ! Will definitely bring it back for any future issues or maintenance! Sam , your great thank you!!

The manager was so rude. I've never been spoken to in that tone nor verbiage. Avoid this place. There are places with better customer service.

I've been coming here for over a year now and it has completely changed my outlook on auto shops. I no longer dread taking my car in and fearing a laundry list of repairs that I don't know if I actually need or not. Rod and Sam are the absolute best! I don't know much about cars so trust is everything in this situation. They always take the time to explain the repair and give me options but I never feel like I'm being pushed into anything. You never get the sense that you're being sold something you don't need, as has often been my experience with other shops. Always learn something when I come here, really appreciate this place!

This place is your go to spot for an oil change. Anything else I'd suggest to go elsewhere. I was in an unusual situation visiting family and my radiator began leaking, leading my vehicle to overheat. I searched around and it being the weekend options were limited for the repair needed before driving back to Southern California. My husband took the vehicle in early on Saturday 10/22 he spoke with Rod once the car was evaluated and left the car for repairs. A few hours later it was ready so we thought. Once my husband went to pick up, he was informed that the sensor was damaged(said they would fix since they broke it) and they were missing a piece(bypass) for the radiator but we could still drive the car and IF WE wanted to fix the part they can order it. We decided we needed to fix the bypass since the car is still leaking coolant just as it was when we brought it in. My husband had to fly home for work. When I went in on Monday I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Rod. I was dismissed asked for the keys once he knew my husband wasn't there. Was the work not going to be communicated with me or the amount of time? No so I followed him to ask. He quoted me 1hr. I had also asked about my maintenance light being left on and if they had figured out why it was on. "Oh the light is on? Was it on before?" Asked Rod and I replied "no it wasn't on when we brought it in on Saturday and you had told my husband your guys broke it while replacing the radiator." He then followed up with "well I have a mechanic in tomorrow that can take a look at it and diagnose the problem but the code that came up was for the radiator." Ummm so you did in fact know the light was on and knew the code that registered but didn't do anything about it. Got it! I left and came back a little over an hour later. When speaking to Rod about the bypass he tried to sell me another radiator from the manufacturer and would give us a credit towards the part. Was your work bot done properly? Why wouldn't you have started with that option? He also was speaking to me as if I was not knowledgeable about cars. So for anyone that doesn't know about their vehicles good luck. Once I refused the second radiator he told me "this car caused me so many issues and made me have to call so many places, had I known how much trouble it would be I would've refused to work on it. Just not worth it." I asked to pay and apologized for causing him so much trouble. When I went to get my car the hood was left open, running and parked up on the side. As I go to check the work myself here comes Rod. "We'll, had we known you'd be here so early it would've been ready." I was in line waiting to pay for a good 10mins how did you not know I was there? Again, is the work not going to be shown or explained? What are we paying for if we are such an inconvenience? Extremely disappointed in the interaction and disinterest from the store manager.

I was in a rush to get my windshield wipers replaced, as someone who never takes care of her car (dad, brothers) going to someplace by myself can be overwhelming since I don't know the first thing about cars. Rod the manager there was amazing he literally rushed ordered, like sent someone to get it on the spot for me!!!! Highly recommend

So honest and truthful. I was told from a different company that I needed 2 new tires because I had to buy in a set. Then they said I had 2 nails in my tires that weren't repairable and it was going to cost me 1k just for the tires not even the labor and tax. I came to Midas and got the truth about what was going on with my tires. And that if I did have to get a new tire that I don't have to buy in a set that I was absolutely able to buy just 1 tire. Pretty much went from having to spend $1000 to $35 because everything was A quick fix!

Service was super fast! We did not need an appointment. Rod and team did a good job disclosing pricing and applying coupons to help minimize cost of due to my car engine being bigger than promotional value! Will return!
