I had a repair done at this place 1 year ago, I was charged an abnormal amount for a new engine starter, today, after just 7k miles (and they gave me a warranty that’d work for 100k miles) my car engine no longer works at all. I called to ask for help and a replacement, their only answer was “we no longer do repairs” and said to figure it out going to another place.
DONT GO TO THIS PLACE, they won’t be responsible for any service to your car if it fails

Wow. What a rude, condescending place
Not friendly in the least, and the receptionist was short tempered and rolled his eyes, irritated by me asking for information about what documentation is needed to do the inspection. I'm from out of state and never did the smog inspection before and let him know that. He gave off strong "I hate women and think they're all stupid" vibes." Seems genuinely burdened by talking to a customer and unwilling to provide any basic info and just kept barking at me to give him the "paperwork". The world will never know what specific "paperwork" he wanted. Vin? Registration? Insurance? Who knows, he wouldn't specify and instead said "there's no reason for you not to know." Walked out and gave business and a tip to another garage with better competency.

$109 ($99.95 + $8.25)!!! for smog test when you can get it much cheaper elsewhere. When I came the owner said they offer Groupons, I asked if he would honor the Groupon price. He said ok but never did. My car didn’t pass because it was not ready. He was not nice at all - and said repeat one would be another $59. When I said that other places don’t charge if you don’t pass, he said something about how other places were not honest. Then I did research today and realized it was all made up just to charge me $170 for a smog test. Really disappointed and would never! come here again. I wish they thought about customers just a bit more.

This place was just awful. I came in this morning because my maintenance light was on and I did not know how to turn it off.
I explained that I had my oil changed recently and asked if they could turn the light off. The front guy told me I would have to do an oil change through them. I told them there was no need for that since I just had it done and just needed the light to go off.
He then got in my car, and said he would turn it off.
Then another guy comes up and says "if you are not getting an oil change we can't help you. "
I asked him if he turned my light off he said "No."
So I ended up turning my car around and went to Big Tires, explained the situation and they turned off my light in less than a minute and even showed me how to do it.
I will never come back to Star Smog/Jiffy Lube ever again. Extremely unprofessional and lack customer service.

Everyone I interacted with was great, but a big shout out has to go to Rudy. It’s hard to find a place who can test a classic vehicle and there were a few hiccups (on my end) but Rudy went above and beyond to help identify the issues so the car would pass. Absolutely recommend if you want to work with knowledgeable people who provide great customer service.

Had to take my car in for a smog test ... It was simple, easy and the guy who was handling the paper work was a kind person and had alot of stories to tell ... Made the whole process easier :)

I recently had a smog test done at this facility, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The service was prompt, and I was in and out in no time. Bill from Texas, who assisted me, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the process. I highly recommend this place for anyone needing a smog test done efficiently with great customer service.

$90.85 out the door cost for a smog check Feb 2024 is 140% more than what it was in Feb 2022. Didn’t apply the 10% coupon I presented when I walked in the door, and charged an unpublished 3% fee for paying with a credit card. I should have shopped around I could have saved at least 50% at several other spots. That’s the last time I use this place.
