Michelle, the pharmicist is the best. She always takes time to answer questions and assist in any way she can. She is always pleasant and cheerful. Tracy is also always cheerful and helpful. They make a great team!

This is regarding *the same manager Mike* in Safeway pharmacy, 2800 Ygnacio Rd. This person cannot do his job properly at all. He is ALWAYS super-angry, literally doesn't let you finish a sentence and hangs up on you. If he sends your prescription to another pharmacy - you have to read his mind as doesn't call you.He uses slander, for which he can eventually answer in the court.I hope his boss Schontel Delaney will read it and get a little alarmed as I am not the only one who points out that he at least has to be monitored. How can you be absolutely sure that a person with this incredible level of anger, zero concentration, and inadequate reactions won't bring a gun one day to the store? Simply not acceptable.

Safeway Pharmacist Michael filled a prescription with conflicting and inaccurate dose instructions. Is that malpractice? Label says 500 mg tab. But right below it, label says 1000mg each, and says 1000mg total. And each pill is labeled with 788. Store Director: Michelle Frizell.

Absolutely the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Incompetent pharmacist. Told me to my face that Safeway doesn't apply good rx to a drug they wanted to fill. It was over $100 at this store. Called three other pharmacies, Walnut Creek, Lafayette and Concord. All three said they honor good rx for my prescription and it would be $10.36. then the pharmacist told the counter workers to never say that they honor good RX

I had a terrible experience at this Safeway pharmacy. The Safeway website allowed me to schedule an appointment for a second booster shot, but when I arrived the pharmacist recited the CDC criteria that this was reserved for the immunocompromised only, which is fair but their website should’ve been more clear about this and set guardrails to prevent me from making the appointment. CVS pharmacy had no issues with this on their website. The Safeway pharmacist then proceeded to hint at me that I could say “yes” to any of the questions on their form that could qualify me for a vaccine, so I changed one of my responses, handed them my vaccine card, and then went to the waiting area as they directed. Another pharmacist, who overheard the conversation, came out asking again if I was immunocompromised and then reaffirmed that he was not allowed to administer the shot to me. He was also incredibly rude about it when I confronted him about the runaround I’ve been given and condescendingly said to take it up with Safeway’s customer service. I really didn’t appreciate having my chain yanked twice, so it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never waste my time again with any Safeway pharmacy.

BEWARE Employees DONT wear masks and fail to stay 6 feet away from eachother. When I asked one of the employees why, he said that his manager allowed it

I had to say this Safeway really stood out as I was driving by it. The exterior look of this store to me was really striking - the design looked really modern, really unique, and it looked like no other other Safeway stores thar I'd been to. Stepping into it, I definitely could tell that this store was much newer than the other ones im used to. The interior looked just like any other Safeway, pretty standard but very neat and organized. I noticed though that this one had a high ceiling which was nice. One thing that I didn't super like about this Safeway was the parking lot. It was a little bit more hectic to me, and the parking isles seemed a bit narrow.

Great Safeway near work. I usually stop here before work do grab a couple of gatorades or drinks. Usually its not too crazy here, only during the holidays. Most of the time everything is in stock and easy to find. 4/5 because Safeways in my area are basically all the same. Big fan of the self check out when there's long lines in normal checkstands

This store is clearly not adhering to 20% capacity. Went in this evening at 5:00 and really felt unsafe. Absolutely packed with people on top of one another.

So glad this location exists. With COVID, I enjoy Safeway's with higher ceilings. I feel better at this location. Same with the Pleasant Hill location near Sun Valley Mall. It appears more spaced out. I'll drive the extra mile or two if I have time. Most items are in stock and it is one of the larger locations in the area. The right hand side of the store is odd. The deli section to the bread section has very few straight lines. It's like an obstacle course. Lots of small display sections, possibly a design afterthought. I often skip past the cheese/yogurt section because it is a refrigerated section in an aisle. I sort of like it at the back of the store like most locations. Once you get used to it, no big deal. Overall, a better than average shopping experience with plenty of space, and some odd design choices.

This is the Safeway I go to, mainly for convenience. Having a membership really makes a difference. The folks in the deli area are pretty awesome. Pointed out that if I purchased the meal deal it would be cheaper and I would be getting some more stuff as well.

I usually shop at Alamo Safeway or Trader Joe's. However, when I happen to be in the vicinity of Walnut Creek Safeway I'll stop in to pick up a few things. (any port in a storm, eh?) First, I saw a rat run thru produce. GROSSSSSSSSS! OK most food stores deal with rodents so I get it. Not a huge selection makes me feel like I'm Communist Russia. But today was the kicker: an obviously disabled man in wheelchair didn't have a mask on and couldn't find it. Two Karen employees started yelling very loudly and rudely telling him he had to leave. They were freaking out as though the world were coming to an end. Invasion of the Body Snatchers screaming. Wow, so unprofessional. It could have been handled much better. Other Walnut Creek busineeses...let this be a lesson to you. The mask debacle has gotten out of hand, please handle your customers with care. (The one star is for the nice cashier btw. She was cool)
