Rigo treated our golden retriever with excellent care! He even noticed a small bump on her tail and advised that we look into it with our vet! Thanks Rigo for testing our pup with great care! She looks gorgeous- even her toes!

If I could give less than one star I would! Do not let Diamond cut your dogs hair!!! She f'd my Yorkie up!! I was so pissed!! He's been to get a cut SEVERAL times prior at other locations, this girl took the time to do a consult and everything but ended up doing NOTHING we talked about! She cut his face uneven and took away all of his normal features that I WANTED TO KEEP! She didn't wash him properly because there was still lint and grass in his paw when I picked him up! Didn't check the other areas but I'm sure she didn't either! Will NOT BE BACK! And to think I tipped nicely ahead of schedule being trusting, never again! They ended up giving me a full refund with no argument! Even the manager looked to be in shock at how terrible my dog looked! Shame on you Diamond!

I usually don't write reviews like this because I know how hard working in customer service is, but this experience was pretty bad. Extremely rude and slow service for grooming from the beginning. I should have walked out because I had a bad vibe from the start, but was hoping maybe the girl at the front was just awkward with humans and great with animals. Nope. Every time my dog has had her nails trimmed at the vet, there has never been an issue, but when I returned to pick up my dog, the groomer said my dog had nipped at her - and sarcastically said that she hadn't actually "gotten" her, so she wouldn't have to "call the county." I couldn't believe my ears. I worked in the veterinary field for years, and dogs will occasionally react - I can't imagine threatening an owner this way because a dog was fearful - and didn't actually hurt anyone! I offered her a large tip because I felt bad, but after I walked away I realized what a bad taste the whole experience had left in my mouth. I wish I had said something to her. Went and had my dog's nails trimmed at our vet and asked them to let me know if there were any issues AT ALL so I could address it with a trainer, and they said my dog was not only fine, but incredibly sweet. We get this feedback everywhere else we've been, including her new groomer, so... take from that what you will. I also find this location generally super depressing. The one over on Concord Blvd is way nicer, has better selection and the employees are much friendlier and better organized. Never going for grooming at any Petco again, though. Not worth the aggravation for me or my dog.

I have brought my mini dachshund here a number of times for a cut and wash. The previous few times her hair was cut much shorter than requested, which I could live with, however after my current experience we will not be returning. I had an appointment for the previous day which they called me the morning of and advised they were down a groomer and needed to reschedule me to the next day. I show up today and their system is down and even though i had all the paper work, appointment confirmation, shot paperwork, etc. they still refused to service me after driving the 15 minutes to the facility. All I was offered was an apology and a potential reschedule for later that week. After wasting so much of my time much more should have been done to rectify the situation and it was not.

I was extremely disappointed at the service offered at this location. Refused to not put my dog in a kennel and there was no option on their website to request that, despite the groomer insisting I have to make a special appointment for that. Groomer was disrespectful and dismissed my concerns, and it got to the point where I didn't feel confident leaving my dog in their care. Take your dogs elsewhere, as the grooming skill and customer service here is severely lacking.

Rigo did an amazing job grooming my dog, Sarge! Today, my dog got his ears cleaned, teeth brushed, and nails trimmed. Rigo was very calm and relaxed during the process, allowing Sarge to be at ease too! Rigo did not try to rush thru the services--he took his time to do things the right way. Additionally, the staff outside of the grooming salon was great. Very friendly and helpful. Thank you to everyone! We'll be back in a few weeks :)

We have been trying for several days to book an appointment for our dog to be groomed at the downtown Walnut Creek branch. Nobody answers the phone and the online doesn't work properly. My husband walked into the store this morning to get some in -person help Still nobody would give him any attention. He finally left.

Just want to give a shout out to Jonathan in the Ygnacio Valley store. He was so knowledgeable about the shampoo products and we felt very confident with the information he shared with us. Thank you Jonathan.

I have never gotten good service at this location. There is never anyone available to assist you, it always appears as if the store is completely empty of sales staff. The groomers look like they hate their job. However, my experience on Saturday, June 19th took the cake. I made an online appointment with the Vetco Vet Clinic on Friday the 18th for my terrier. I was given a 3:05 appointment for Saturday. We had many errands to do that day, and I am dealing with a broken leg so trying to get around is difficult. We rushed home from our other errands to pick up our dog and take her to Petco for her appointment. When we got there the store was a madhouse. We asked where to check in for the vet clinic and somebody pointed to the front doors. When we went upfront there were two kids checking people in for the vet. They asked what we were there for and we told them our dog needed an allergy shot, her nails trimmed and an anal gland expression. The extremely rude teenager who was working informed me that it was a vaccine clinic only, not a vet clinic. This is very odd since the online booking called it a vet clinic. My question was, why did it not let me know this when I booked the appointment online. His response was "oh yeah our software needs some updating". That's an understatement. We were extremely upset as we had cut our day short to bring the dog in. It was 100° outside and I was dealing with a broken leg. I asked to speak to the vet, and eventually an elderly woman came out and said she was the vet. She informed me that she could try to do the anal gland expression only however, she wasn't very familiar with the procedure and didn't want to cause complications. What???? Any reputable groomer, much less a vet, is able to do this procedure. Needless to say we took our dog, left and will never be back. These people need to get their act together!!

Our cattle-mix Murray is pampered and treated incredibly well by their grooming services. We go to Patricia and he's always a happy camper when he leaves.

This is only about their grooming services. I have a small chihuahua who's a bit of a stereotype. He snaps and is a bit of a demon. I also have a med dog and she is half paralyzed in her hind legs. She has no control of her bladder or colon. Mira does grooms both dogs and does a fabulous job.

Had an appt was a couple minutes late, but another was checking their pet in before me, which took at least 10 minutes. When my turn, was told they have a fifteen minute late policy and would have to reschedule, but before that I asked to meet the groomer and was told she was still working on another dog. WTF Petco? Told them off, walked out and groomed my dog at home.

I was in this store today. As I walked in, I saw that none of the grooming employees were wearing masks. They are in an enclosed space, no windows open that I could see, and I can't speak to the ventilation. Clearly, the employees were not complying with the store's signage that states everyone has to be masked while in the store. I asked a store employee why the employees were not wearing masks, she stated "They don't have to." Come on people, we are a year into COVID. All the employees in the store need some education on how to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Where is the leadership in this store? My recommendation is to avoid this store until they get their act together.
