Got my dog’s nails trimmed here the other day and they were accommodating as my pup can be difficult sometimes. The store itself is on the smaller end but has what you need. Would come back!

If you haven't been lately give it another try. New manager and more staff. I have complained before that it was dirty and messy with un-stocked shelves and never any shopping carts, but I was very happy to see carts, clean floors, happy cashier and no piles of stuff sitting everywhere. They have the cat food I need and the litter I like so I kept coming back, but now I'm happy to do so.

I took my Cavapoo to be groomed by Tia at the Petco on Ygnacio Valley Road. I am really happy with how she groomed my dog. Tia is very easy to chat to and seems to love what she does. She was up front with what she was going to do. No surprises. Lottie was ready to be picked up in 2.5 hours. I've been trying to find someone to work with after a bad experience at Pet Smart - and I think I've found her. I hope that Tia will be there for a long time.

Kaitlin did such a wonderful job with my toy poodle, Bella's grooming session. She looked like a doll! She took her time and cared for my shy Bella. I highly recommend her! :)

Do not ever go here for grooming. They shaved my dog down to practically his bare skin, he has razor burn under his tail, and to top it off they "forgot" to call me to let me know my dog was finished being groomed. He was done for over an hour and it was taking so long I finally went there to check since no one EVER answers the phone. The groomers and workers all just laughed and were like oh sorry I thought so and so called. I won't even go there to buy anything. No one is ever at the register either anyway. Never again.

Looking at all the reviews for the North Walnut Creek store on Ygnacio Valley Rd. and the bad grooming reviews I do believe the reviews were from past months. There is a new grooming manger at this location and she is wonderful. Tia is her name. A few months ago after taking our older dog to the California St. Walnut Creek groomer 8 times with no issues until we we got stuck with a replacement for Charli who was out on disability. After an hour there we got a call to pick up our dog because she could not be groomed, AND NEVER COME BACK. I'm not one to give up but today we needed her to be groomed and took her to the North WC Petco and she met Tia. Not only did Tia do a great job with no issues but also had our girl in and out in record time. NO ISSUES and we were told she is welcome back for another grooming when needed. It's all about caring and experience. The other Petco seems like a factory production line with little caring. All about attitude. Give Tia a try. She is caring and an excellent groomer.

Quick and easy shopping. However some of the shelves seemed bare and their fish system was not great. This seems to be a problem with all petcos - I’d assume it’s a corporate decision to not allocate more payroll hours. Hopefully that’s remedied.

I been a petco shopper for a very long time . I love alk that brands of foods they have for all the different animals, pretty good selection of dry and wet food. I noticed they're fishing section could use a little more products filters and cleaning supplies. Would be nice of they had more promotion in-store as well. For the most part it's a nice store seems like they have like a high turnover ratio of employees.

I had an exceptional experience at Petco their staff is knowledgeable in the store offers a wide range of high quality products for our furry friends. Their service was top-notch making it go to place for all pet needs.
