Such an awesome place to train and rehab an injury. Rich and Elyse are so knowledgeable and truly have helped me become strong again after a terrible disc injury. I am always confident in their ability to keep me safe while pushing me to the next level. Not to mention they are just stellar people who really care about helping others feel good and creating an awesome community. I love my workouts here!

I have had a dislike hate relationship with my big gym franchise. I felt a little lost. I am going through a ton of physical changes so I need a trainer that treats me in a range from push me to pity me. So I set a personal training session with Elyse. Seriously the best move of the month. From start to finish I felt in control while she guided me with her knowledge and experience. I am getting over a knee injury and she was attentive about it, but in no way did she focus on it as a weakness. She put me in control of how it was feeling as opposed to either babying me or trying to break me. I am so appreciative of that. I can only speak for myself; however if you have some health problems you want an opportunity now and again to go beyond your normal capability. To push yourself like a healthy person would. So when I added some reps she just let me do it. It felt awesome. First time I have felt normal physically in over two years. There was no yelling or screaming, it was a cooperative session of her sharing her vast knowledge of how the body moves and how it's affected throughout the workout. If you have some injuries, if you're overweight do not lock yourself in a tower; you have the right to try and fight for the health level you want. Elyse and the rest of the crew at perpetual motion can help you if you're in amazing shape or a wreck. Give them a call and don't forget to say hi to Frank.

Starting workouts with Perpetual Motion, was the best thing I have done this year!! This time a year ago, I dreaded pool parties and now I spend weekends in the pool or in shorts! Plus I am stronger, getting toned and love the classes several mornings a week!!! I can only say wonderful things about Perpetual Motion and am very thankful that someone recommended them to me!

What I love about Elyse and this gym is their "functional fitness" approach and meeting the needs of every fitness level. Elyse was really helpful teaching me strength training exercises that I can do with weights or with no equipment, depending on where I am and the space I have. They offer personal training, as well as a variety of group classes. You can go to a class for free to check it out. I highly recommend Perpetual Motion!

I came to see Elyse because as a competitive athlete and tennis player, I was having aches and pains in my knees. Elyse gave me a series of warmup exercises that has resulted in me not having as much knee pain. I feel stronger as I have been strengthening the muscles around the pain point. I also feel more relaxed and confident moving around the tennis court no longer fearing pain. I even show my other tennis buddies the exercises and they love it.

Cannot say enough good things about this gym! One of my biggest roadblocks to working out at a typical gym was the judgement and people "peacocking" around shooting daggers and side eye your way. But this place welcomes people of all ages, sizes, fitness levels, and backgrounds and offers just the right amount of challenge so you see growth personally and physically. Rich and Elyse - the trainers - have so much love for one another and a love for fitness that it is directly poured into their classes and the clients of Perpetual Motion. Good vibes, always. They struck a perfect balance between group classes and individualized attention so you can perfect your form and consistently push yourself. The facility is always clean. Super convenient location right off the Olympic freeway exit. Perfect gym for someone of any age or skill level looking to grow personally, mentally, and physically. These classes will kick your butt but coming from someone who used to dread the gym, you won't want to stop coming. Highly, highly recommend.

Perpetual Motion is a great gym! There are many different classes and types of exercise to choose from. I particularly enjoy the circuit training class. The class starts with a warm up, then the circuit which is usually made up of about 8 stations. Stations can be adapted to your needs or any injuries. The class ends with a cool down and stretching. I particularly like the class type setting at Perpetual Motion because it helps motivate me. I always walk out of Perpetual Motion feeling more energized and satisfied from the amazing workout!

I was a dancer for over 20 years, so although my stance was proper in dance class, it wasn't at the gym. I walk with my feet out and trying to correct them to workout properly is a struggle. I met with Elyse privately and she showed me moves that would help and were specific to my needs. No one has taken time to help like Elyse did. She was even kind enough to write it down so I can practice at home. I would highly recommend Perpetual Motion Performance Training if you're looking for a gym that works around your needs and takes the time to show you exercises that work for you. Thank you!

Been going to their stair climbs with Elyse & Rich for a couple years now. I absolutely love the personal one-on-one attention that you get with these guys. They're both really educated in physical anatomy, and this is super helpful with correcting form, posture, and stretching. I'm personally not the fastest runner in the world, so I'm really thankful that Elyse is there to run beside a slowpoke like me while the speedier members are up at the front with Rich. The challenges are really scaled to your personal needs- Rich is really awesome about modifying certain exercises to make up for my lack of upper-body strength and weak knees. And at the end I still feel like I got an awesome workout! Thanks so much guys.

I'm coming up on 3 years and still love it here. Rich and Elyse are amazing!! PMPT is nothing like your typical gym. Its motivating and fun. There is something new and challenging everyday to workout your entire body. We do HIT classes, strength, foundation training and stairs all around the bay... indoors and outdoors!! Classes are small, filled with good peeps and we have the cutest gym dog, Frank. I have learned so much and feel better in my 40's than I ever have! Super grateful for PMPTâ¤ï¸ Thank you guys so much!! 🤗

It's a complete and total work out no matter what shape you are in. Great classes, amazing instructors and some of the best people you will ever meet. Rich Edgren and Elyse Petterson have created a gym where your work outs are actually FUN!!!
