Got to my 8am appointment 20min late due to my little brother having a medican emergency at home. I called their office dozens of times as i was driving to the appointment to give them a heads up or ask for a place holder. They have their phone turned off during the first 30 mins of business hours which is extremely unprofessional and strange. I would have been fine paying a partial fee but instead, they charged me the full cost of appointment. I was booked for a microderma and a chemical peel and they charged me the more expensive of the 2. Never going back to kaiser for cosmetic services, ill take my money elsewhere

Just one stop shopping with amazing doctors and staff. I have been a member for a very long time. No complaints. Three children same doctor deliver all three. My medical doctor retired and I was so fortunate to find a new doctor that is amazing as well.

Extremely long lines and wait times! Staff is nice enough, but clearly overburdened with the amount of customers.

The front desk lady who does the appointments at the optometry will roll her eyes at you before you even say anything. This had happened yesterday.Today I was 20 minutes late to my glasses fitting appointment. I had checked in with my last name as requested. I understand I was late, but nobody checked up on me if I had gotten help. I had to speak up for myself. It took more than an hour and it turns out I was never even checked in. Thankfully I did get a later appointment.

Update: They will pretend to care by asking you to send an email but never respond. So again, Kaiser is just as bad as it was when I first had them in the early 2000s where they dont listen to your concerns but pretend to care about their patients

I went to Park Shadelands Cosmetic for wrong appointment that i supposed to be seen by dermatologist not an cosmetologist. I was seen by ANDREA Y WILLIAMS an esthetician for less than a minute and she explained that I am having the wrong appointment and my problem is with a dermatologist. I paid $60 as a co-pay and when I was leaving she told me I will ask the front desk to refund you the 60 dollars because I did not give you any service. I went to the front desk and they say we can't refund you that because the provider didn't ask us to do so, I was shocked because she just told me a minute ago that she will ask to refund me. I asked the front desk to ask her again (ANDREA Y WILLIAMS) just to confirm what she said to me a minute ago about my refund. They asked her and she said I didn't tell you that I am going to refund you. Unfortunately, she lied to me I can't believe there poeple like her out there, she lied she changed what told me about my refund in one minute. She just stole my money and lied in front everyone. Never go back to that place where poeple are lying and changing the truth. I am not going to forgive for that ANDREA Y WILLIAMS

I arrive 14 minutes late, and the first receptionist remarks, "Perfectly on time" (since their policy is 15 mins). Well, what do you know--they had already marked us as "no show" before the 15-minute mark. The other front receptionist lady then starts to argue with me about how we're 15 minutes late when we were not 15 minutes late. I wouldn't have been upset if the receptionist was more empathetic in the way they say things. Instead she was extremely rude and left a bitter taste in my mouth. She should be fired, because Kaiser claims they care about their patients, well... I think the people in the company will have to revisit the company's morals and values. I asked for her name and they said they can't share that... sure. This just happened today on Monday October 17, 2022 at 3:58PM in building 4 -- optometry department. I hope management can see this and can show this to the person on staff at that specific time. Oh by the way, they blamed the doctor ( Sabrina Stilwell). They said she was the one who marked us as no show. I'm not sure why we pay such high premiums for care with their 15-minute policy if it doesn't apply in reality. I may consider bringing my company policy to another hospital with better customer service at this point! In conclusion, I understand that we were late and that is our fault..but we were it within the 15 minute grace period which the first receptionist even voiced and said "perfect timing". Secondly, staff needs to be more empathetic and understand what customer service means!

THIS IS SPECIFICALLY FOR THEIR PEDIATRICS OFFICE LASSEN BUILDING #3I had the worst experience here this evening. I was 10 minutes late to my sons appointment because they don't specify which building to go to so for first time in this office area it's super confusing. The lady working tonight checking me in was incredibly heartless and rude. She said "oh you're late" I told her why and she then told me now I have to wait up to over an hour. I said that's impossible I'm with my 18 month old and there's no way I can wait that long. She then asked if he had a cough/cold, yes he has a cold that's why we're here. And proceeds to put us in a hallway with a clearly way sicker kid than my kid who is coughing nonstop. After waiting for 20 min I said look if the doctor can't see me we have to go (my kid probably would have left way sicker being in that place than when he had arrived) I just wanted to get his ears checked! The level of care (especially for pediatrics) has gone sooooo down hill with Kaiser.Awful experience and shame on the receptionist lady working at 3pm today at Shadelands Lassen pediatrics - her badge was flipped so I couldn't get her name, probably on purpose!

Scheduled eye check up for elderly parent that has severe mobility limitations. We arrived about 4 minutes late. Such a big deal! Eyes tested and then sent to optical only to find out they don't arrange that and you have to schedule a separate appointment. Not the only person that was hearing this for the first time. They offered a 2:30 appointment so we left and came back. It's 2:48 now and we're supposed to be okay that they are late. I was told the person is backed up. My mom's neighbor told me she hates coming here and now I know why.

Wanted to add Dr. Eleftheriadis to list of shitty doctors. Had an appointment today with him and he literally didn't give a shit-didn't want to listen to my symptoms and straight down played them.

This pharmacy is a** and the people who work in the facility are always moody and never willing to help when it comes to them going out of their way for a member. They refuse to expedite anything and when it comes to sending a message to your doctor consider that a no. They do not notify you when refills have run out for a prescription you've been taking for 4 years and needs an approval. So when it says refill is ready for pickup, you go there and will be told to wait another 3 business days for doctor approval. But wait there is more, they won't notify you when they get the approval either. IF you're lucky you might get an employee that isn't too lazy to send the approval to begin with. Want any help? Yeah don't count on them you will be placed on hold for OVER two hours, lucky if you get a call back. Might as well just go to the ER. Don't consider walking in for help they will give you a run around and say call an advice nurse.... For your prescription needs.. LOL. Kaiser has been a s*** company for years but good thing we NEED health insurance right? I paid for coverage which was taken out of my bank account and it still says I'm not a member 5 days later. Go elsewhere and save yourself the hassle like i wish i did. If you don't want to help people in need get the hell out of healthcare they need to hire new employees at this location asap.

This review is for the Kaiser optometry department, Vision Essentials. Was here today to help my mom go to her eye appointment. While she was being seen, I decided to check out their glasses frame department which was right next to the waiting area. I am a Kaiser member and although my regular optometrist is in Japantown SF, I was considering getting new glasses and frames from Visions Essentials instead. The various displays they had looked very attractive. The showroom looked wide open, but as soon as I walked over to the display, the rude Asian receptionist behind the counter shouted after me, "You can't be here without an appointment!" The Indian looking gentleman behind the counter seemed just as indifferent. No "May I help you?" or "Are you interested in any glasses?" Well, excuse me, I've read other reviews about how. rude the staff is here but, I just wanted to browse their collection of frames, but after that personal rude exchange, I won't consider getting my eyes examined or purchase new glasses from them EVER.

I recently had a complete eye exam, plus prescription exam, both at Park Shadelands Kaiser. Both were conducted with professionalism and I recommend them. Today, however, I went in to look at glasses at their in-house optical department and was VERY frustrated. A woman named Madeline took one look at my prescription and immediately started upselling me on the special multifocal lenses costing $289 EXTRA on top of anything else. Fine -- I immediately knew what I was dealing with and can handle a hard sell just fine. But then she started lying to me. She told me that the standard multifocals had only a small viewing area, and that the rest of the lens was "just glass." "What," I asked in surprise, "you mean the outside section of the lenses have NO correction at all?" "That's right," she said, "and we're also going to 'put you in' the thin frames, and you'll need photochromic for $80 more, and..." I was flabbergasted. First of all, I already wear multifocal lenses and the outside edges of the lenses most certainly DO correct my vision -- I flipped my glasses on and off right there to demonstrate that fact, but she still insisted that they weren't doing anything! I also hadn't had a chance to tell her how many pairs I wanted, or what features I wanted for each pair. I asked if she had a price list -- no. I asked if this information was online so I could study it -- no. I asked if she could print out a quote -- no. "We only have 20 minutes," she explained impatiently. I was left with the distinct impression that these people work on commission and that this employee thinks that everyone with gray hair has lost their marbles and can be lied to without consequence. Well, I've got all my marbles left, and I wanted several pairs of glasses -- sunglasses, computer glasses, driving glasses, etc., which would have added up to probably $1,000 or more. After this experience, I will be buying them elsewhere.
