I recently had a very positive experience with the Fall Prevention Program. I listened to a very informative presentation by Michelle and then had an excellent evaluation by Heather. Bob and Carl came to the house for the installation and they were extremely courteous and professional. I feel much safer in my home now and the entire process was outstanding.

Meals on Wheels Diablo Region is amazing! The organization is dedicated to providing nutritious meals and vital support services to seniors in Contra Costa County who are unable to cook or shop for themselves. It's heartwarming to be part of a team that genuinely cares about making a difference in the lives of older adults.

A few months ago when I was ill I could not leave the house to purchase food. Meals On Wheels was a lifesaver for me during that period of time.

I rarely post on Yelp, but I was compelled to do so today when I came across this organization.I have volunteered over 40 hours this year with Meals on Wheels of the Diablo Region, delivering breakfast to those in need in my community. It has been an immensely rewarding experience for countless reasons, but most importantly for me, staying connected to a community in a post-pandemic world. Food insecurity for seniors is a real challenge and for those who may face financial and/or health hardships, it can be even more challenging. Aging is for the brave. This volunteer opportunity opened my eyes to this bravery more fully, and I will be forever humbled by my experience over the last 15 months. The volunteer experience is fantastic.... it's well organized, easy to accommodate schedules, you feel valued by the organization and the clients, you see the impact immediately, and the team is really nice. I would encourage everyone to sign up for the breakfast bag, grocery bag, or the cultural cuisine program.

After having 3 minor strokes and in agust and a heart attack on Halloween a year ago I had the pleasure of getting help from meals on meals and helping in my home. I love the people that I have met. Being a volunteer it brings so much joy to the clients to see us each day someone delivers. They are so very grateful we deliver food to them. Sometimes we are the only visitors they see. Checking in on them can also save their lives if they have fallen or had an emergency medical condition we can call 911 for them.
