We went for pediatric collection. Rude, no compassion phlebotomists. Called us parents dramatic and asked one to step outside. Parents ALWAYS advocate for their child. They should not be in healthcare if they do not have any compassion towards patients. Not only are they rude, but incompetent. After what our kid went through that traumatic draw, they have the audacity to call us the following day for a recollection. Poor communication too, they left a voicemail but did not explain what tests needs redraw. They did not leave a number for us to clarify their ambiguous voicemail. Labcorp should look into this.

1-1.5 hr wait always, regardless of wether you have an appointment scheduled. Absolutely terrible.

Avoid this place!! The phlebotomist hit my nerve while drawing blood, causing significant pain and discomfort. Despite expressing my pain, the phlebotomist ignored my concerns and continued drawing blood. She even falsely assured me that I would feel okay in a few minutes. However, four days later, my left arm and wrist still experience intense pain from the incident.

I've been here a few times for blood work but after my recent experience, never again. My arm bruised from the shoddy blood draw, and plus it was quite a painful experience. I've never had any issues with getting my blood drawn anywhere, including this LabCorp, until my last visit. I had scheduled an appt and got seen very quickly. As i followed the woman who would be drawing my blood into the room, I had a mental note that she seemed unfriendlier than most. But whatever, this wasn't a social call. However, a few other things should have red flagged me. 1. She didn't ask which arm I wanted blood drawn from. 2. When you get your blood drawn, there is a special chair with that the side armrest so you can rest your arm. Rather than allow me to rest my arm to the side on that armrest, she pulled it across my chest which was an uncomfortable position, especially given my shoulder issues. It seemed she wanted my arm there before it was more convenient for HER. Like she couldn't just reposition her body a little to allow my arm to rest in its proper position. 3. She tied that tourniquet around my arm, inserted the needle, and started drawing blood. She never took that rubber band off -- I later realized this was a problem! She drew the first vial of blood ok. But the 2nd vial was taking forever, much longer than I remember it ever taking. And the needle in my vein was starting to get increasingly painful to the point when I actually eventually cried out in pain. Only at that point did she remove the tourniquet and withdraw the needle. She said, "Sorry. That's going to bruise." That's when I realized she should have removed that earlier to allow the blood to flow better. Since not enough blood has been drawn, she had to take it from my other arm. This time, she removed the tourniquet as soon as blood started flowing and there were no issues. When I got home, I told my husband about the experience and he said this is the same lab where he had HIS bad experience, also because they failed to remove the tourniquet. In his case, it resulted in a falsely elevated potassium level and he had to go back and have his blood redrawn. I've had my blood drawn plenty of times and have never thought much of it. You shouldn't need to think much of it. If it's done right and assuming you don't have any special issues (which I don't), it should be a straightforward procedure. Such was not the case here, and my arm now has a bruise. This place is very convenient for me but I'll happily take an extra 20-30 minutes to go elsewhere in the future.

My 10 yo always has a hard time, stumping phlebotomist right and left. They can never find her veins. (Yes, we hydrate and stay warm, wear layers, etc.) we have tried three Labcorp sites. And at each site, they poke her twice without success. Finally, at the Walnut Creek site we found Marcelino, the very best phlebotomist. My kiddo says he is magical. He found her vein on the first try. We have gone back to him after other failed attempts elsewhere. He find her vein on the first try.

Good and organized! Wish making an appointment was easy (online); but it is confusing for this senior. Decided to just register and drop in! It was ok! Unfortunately, not that easy for myself to navigate on line

Every single time that I have gone here to receptionist, are somewhat polite, very professional at what they do, and very good. And if you give a smile, you’ll get a smile. You give attitude you’ll get stiffness, but still professional

I'm surprised by the low ratings. Maybe I got lucky, but even though it was busy, my husband and I were able to check in and be seen within 10 minutes without an appointment. The front desk person was cordial and efficient. My phlebotomist was Marcellino--he was great--nice and very skilled. I didn't feel a thing. My husband also remarked how good he was. Double win! I think it helps to be patient and friendly whenever you go to a crowded Labcorp. These people work hard and don't get enough credit for their essential role in our wellness. On a side note, Lafayette is a nice location if you can get an appointment. Kevin is my favorite phlebotomist. At the Orinda location, the obviously disgruntled women at the front desk can be so surly, I just don't want to deal with them--I drive further to Lafayette. I would definitely come to the Treat Blvd. location in Walnut Creek again--FYI, it's located in urgent care.

They lost my lab materials. I went in, the front desk worker was so lazy to explain anything even though there was no one ... I had to re ask twice trying to figure where to leave my stuff ... and guess what, of course it was lost. They will not pick up phone ... now have to go there again to try find out what happened to my labs

Don't waste your time at this location. Labs, x-ray and urgent care are all lined up at the front. You check in on a kiosk, but are still called to the front. Person doesn't even get up to call your name. Just sits there so you have no idea who's calling you when you're sitting in the waiting area. Completely disorganized, lots of noise, and staff yelling out names at the top of their lungs to overcome the noise - not worth your time. Whoever designed that location or came up with the way patients are processed was definitely mentally ill.

They do not answer the phone, at all, ever. You can call them while standing there in the lobby and they ignore the ringing phone. The only way to get a question answered is to drive down there and stand in line. Otherwise they are pretty good.

Check in system works out great. The appointment system was not super clear but I figured it out.
