This is specifically for Kaiser Optical Sales. The changes as of late has not been a positive one. Booking an appointment to look at glasses and pressured into a 30 minute only slot? The front desk and management leave little to be desired. I felt like I was inconveniencing them somehow. The way it had changed to where your glasses are mailed to you and then you have to schedule another appointment for the fitting. I prefer the old way where you were called and could come in anytime to get fitted and pick them up. I was told to wait as it was to early to check in for my appointment and then saw them squeeze someone in who came in after me. I ended up leaving. I'll get my glasses somewhere else.

I'm a Southern California resident that was visiting Northern California for work. I forgot to pack my thyroid medication and was in a bad situation since I'm not supposed to miss any days on this medication. I called into the pharmacy and spoke to Susanna. She was going to refill my medication, but I had zero refills left. She had to send a request to my PCP in Southern California to get approval for the refill. I came by later in the day and found out that my PCP had not responded to the request. The pharm tech I spoke to told me that he could do an emergency refill for me. I got my medication and was a happy camper. Overall, great experience and very friendly/helpful staff.

Just one stop shopping with amazing doctors and staff. I have been a member for a very long time. No complaints. Three children same doctor deliver all three. My medical doctor retired and I was so fortunate to find a new doctor that is amazing as well.

I came in through the ER in unbelievable pain on a Saturday. I couldn't walk or even stand. Terrified. The staff was amazing. Every single person kind, thoughtful, helpful, understanding. Encouraging. 4 days later; I can stand, walk, and mostly care for myself. Still getting extreme pain. Probably a year of rehab. But I have hope now. It's hard to adequately express my gratitude. I'll miss you. And so will Rupert

How does Kaiser not have an Urgent Care clinic? Have a sinus infection, DR wants strep screening test that is only done in martinez. Can't drive that far and no closer location. Member services all work from home, how can they not service their members? Easier to go to a local Urgent Care and pay out of pocket, at least open enrollment is coming soon!

The front desk lady who does the appointments at the optometry will roll her eyes at you before you even say anything. This had happened yesterday.Today I was 20 minutes late to my glasses fitting appointment. I had checked in with my last name as requested. I understand I was late, but nobody checked up on me if I had gotten help. I had to speak up for myself. It took more than an hour and it turns out I was never even checked in. Thankfully I did get a later appointment.

Oh wow I almost forgot how my Polish lady Doctor, her office or the telephone nurse didn't return my phone call or send a referral to another doctor for almost 12 hours while I was sick. Yes top notch group there. Oh,I wonder if the Doctor who called in sick that day still made it to her office across the street to hustle Botox injections for rich old ladies...hmmm oh well. Good thing about Kiaser is Doctors are literally a dime a dozen, except when you need one.

Update: They will pretend to care by asking you to send an email but never respond. So again, Kaiser is just as bad as it was when I first had them in the early 2000s where they dont listen to your concerns but pretend to care about their patients

THIS IS SPECIFICALLY FOR THEIR PEDIATRICS OFFICE LASSEN BUILDING #3I had the worst experience here this evening. I was 10 minutes late to my sons appointment because they don't specify which building to go to so for first time in this office area it's super confusing. The lady working tonight checking me in was incredibly heartless and rude. She said "oh you're late" I told her why and she then told me now I have to wait up to over an hour. I said that's impossible I'm with my 18 month old and there's no way I can wait that long. She then asked if he had a cough/cold, yes he has a cold that's why we're here. And proceeds to put us in a hallway with a clearly way sicker kid than my kid who is coughing nonstop. After waiting for 20 min I said look if the doctor can't see me we have to go (my kid probably would have left way sicker being in that place than when he had arrived) I just wanted to get his ears checked! The level of care (especially for pediatrics) has gone sooooo down hill with Kaiser.Awful experience and shame on the receptionist lady working at 3pm today at Shadelands Lassen pediatrics - her badge was flipped so I couldn't get her name, probably on purpose!

I've been contemplating writing this for a day now but I just can't stop feeling so angry at the horrible treatment we got from one of the nurses and doctors at the ER.I had to call 911 yesterday after my partner threw out their back and eventually blacked out from pain. The paramedics took them here and I drove over right away. After about 3 - 3:30 hours of me waiting outside in the heat and them waiting in a stretcher in the hallway (indoor waiting room only seats about 5 at a time and I didn't want to take seats from those who were ill) they finally get a room and I'm able to come in.I have the misfortune of meeting- well not really because she never introduced herself or spoke once until I addressed her :))), the nurse at the time. She was absolutely scatterbrained, unresponsive unless really prodded with questions, and always in a hurry to get the hell out of the room. The doctor's plan was to have some muscle relaxers and pain meds going and then make an attempt to have my partner stand. Upon the first attempt they noted that they were seeing stars again and then had two blackouts in a row. Now, I'm obviously no medical professional nor am I experienced with blackouts (never witnessed one in person before) but seeing my partner blackout, shake violently for several seconds, gasp for air and shout in pain I was understandably freaking out. What is the nurse doing at this time? Oh just typing with one finger, one key at a time, to the doctor on their messaging app. Not a care in the world or thought in her head. The second time the blackout happens I ask her "Are you going to get the doctor??" She replies in a tone that could basically mimic an eye roll "That's what I'm trying to do now."After my partner's blackouts stop their blood pressure is very low so they get them on an IV. The nurse left them in a sitting position (which was noted was uncomfortable considering their state) and we try to make a makeshift pillow to keep their legs propped up. This requires me taking the only blankets they have and using them for this. The nurse never once offers a pillow, additional blankets, nothing despite witnessing all this and us mentioning they're cold from the IV. Thankfully an angel of a nurse comes in sees what's going on and gets us about 5 nice and warm blankets from the heater and some socks. She even apologized as she was unable to find a pillow. And she even brings us water!! Incredible! The only good part of this besides the completely unrelated nurse I mentioned, is the absolute ghoul of a nurse ends her shift at some point and is replaced by another actually compassionate person. Absolute nightmare of an experience. Will never choose Kaiser for insurance again unless I feel like playing Russian roulette with mine or someone else's life.

Scheduled eye check up for elderly parent that has severe mobility limitations. We arrived about 4 minutes late. Such a big deal! Eyes tested and then sent to optical only to find out they don't arrange that and you have to schedule a separate appointment. Not the only person that was hearing this for the first time. They offered a 2:30 appointment so we left and came back. It's 2:48 now and we're supposed to be okay that they are late. I was told the person is backed up. My mom's neighbor told me she hates coming here and now I know why.

For the past few weeks, I've been recuperating at a hospital. I couldn't help but post a review after my experience!Every person I encountered from the moment I signed in to the final nurse who transported me to my car was fantastic! I was not a fan of Kaiser after my experiences at my local Kaiser's. But the individuals I met here convinced me otherwise. They have a sweet and hesitant demeanor throughout. The follow-up and talk with my primary care physician after my surgery went well, and I was pleased with both. He's fantastic, thorough, personable, amusing, and helpful, making him one of the best primary care doctors we've ever had.On a side note, It's just the food that I don't enjoy here. Despite its size, it's rather limited. In fact, the food was so tasteless that I had to ask for the help of my family members to get me something else. However, I don't mind if they follow their own protocol.
