We recently purchased Guideway's Living Trust package (the trust plus several other important documents included). They also helped us with 3 deed transfers for an extra but reasonable fee.
All three people we worked with at Guideway were great!
Brook in the initial phase was nice + also patient and knowledgeable and quick to respond to questions.
Marissa, the paralegal who did the actual legal documents language and editing work was excellent in accommodating our fairly involved distribution instructions. She was quite patient through a few draft revisions and improvements.
The legal work and expertise in this case is obviously the most important thing, so we very much appreciate Marissa for all her effort here!
The living trust they produce is long and detailed (for legal strength) but avoids excessive legalese and is very much written in an understandable format for the layperson, and even comes with an extra several page summary at the end to explain some of the potentially still more difficult to understand sections.
I think Guideway may contract with another company for Marissa's services, so I hope they will forward our thanks to her if that is the case.
And finally, Guideway employee Alex was fantastic to wrap things up with at the final signing appointment. He was very well prepared at the signing, having familiarized himself with the custom provisions of our living will, and was friendly and VERY efficient as a notary and throughout the final process.
I don't know how, but Alex even scanned the entire trust package with our fresh signatures in around 5 minutes and then emailed us a PDF e-copy of everything which will be super convenient in the future.
The PDF copy of all the final signed documents really stands out and was such a welcome surprise and unexpected massive value-add, and we are so thankful for that!!
And lastly, Alex was also great at quickly filing the deed transfers and keeping us very well informed on that process and completion, which only took a couple days. At the appointment, and in the emails, he warned us about likely fraudulent attempts we might see about paying for an official copy of the deed, and to ignore any of those if we received them. And of course, he also provided us electronic copies of all the deeds. Amazing!
Overall, we come away VERY VERY happy with the relative value for money provided by Guideway Legal. They were quick, efficient, friendly, easy to work with, and comparatively quite affordable.
I highly recommend them for any routine-ish legal / document services that they offer, and will be more than happy to refer them to others as opportunity presents and also happy to use them again ourselves should the need arise.
If you have some really custom/unusual/complicated legal need then maybe Guideway wouldn't be your best bet, and they'd probably be the first to tell you that, but as for many of the regular documents most of us need that they offer, I think you should definitely strongly consider Guideway, based on our (and other reviewers) very good experience/s at least.
I hope all the people I mentioned here are officially recognized by Guideway for all their effort and for the great customer experience they provided to us.

Guideway made changing the Deed to my house so I could add it to my Living Trust Soooo easy! Everything was done online and I was dealing with a person, not a robot. My questions were answered quickly and all the information and the process was easy to understand and follow. I put off changing this legal document because I thought it would be complicated- it was not! They made it easy!

Worked with Ian & Brook to clear up title on my deceased mother’s house complicated by passing of one of my brothers. Originally contacted lawyer that had processed her will. For starters they wanted $8,500 to handle. My husband was referred to Guideway by title company. Best referral ever! Guideway handled quickly! AND for a fraction of the requested $ by lawyer. Highly recommend!!

I can say that our experience with Guideway Legal Document & Mediation was absolutely the best. It’s our second time doing business with them for our legal affairs to have our will and trust. They are very good and honest and knowledgeable. The cost is better than any attorney and they are efficient in getting the work done as needed. Ian Duncan is the best. I highly recommend them for your legal affairs. My wife and I are more than pleased with everything!! You will be pleased with their work and they take the time to explain things so anyone can understand.

The process of adding a significant amendment to our Living Trust, which meant completely redrawing all the documents, was smooth. The agent explained everything clearly, the documents were drawn in a timely manner and we were provided with both hard and digital copies of all the documentation. We were very satisfied with the experience.

Ian was great. He was kind, methodical, and thorough. I could stop him for clarifications and he was patient with me. Guidway is all inclusive. I had to attend a friend's living trust meeting somewhere else, because he needed a witness for his signatures. His trust cost a little more (even without owning his residence), and my experience was better. I recommend Guidway.

Guideway Legal was professional and comprehensive. I went to establish my will & trust and to amend a legal document. The people were efficient, explained everything carefully and completed the work in a timely manner. Guideway made it so easier to process our amicable divorce. They explain the process so well, guided us as we gathered the necessary documents, prepared all the documents. They had good advice on which courts we should file with, language we can use in our documents, etc.
My ex and I had originally started using one of those online services but found it too overwhelming -- it's definitely worth spending a little more to use document preparers.
I think the only thing is you need to carefully review all the paperwork. I found a number of typos -- and those typos still popped up in some of the later paperwork.

I have used their doc prep services a couple of times now and have had a great experience. Very responsive and communicative along the process and very quick turn around. I would use them again for deeds and other doc prep!

These folks seem friendly enough, but I'm not sure about their expertise. We engaged their services to complete a grant deed filing. It seems pretty simple from the surface, but for some reason we've been through five iterations so far with long waits in between drafts. Some of the revisions are surprising, but I don't know their process, what's so hard about this? Why would we get back a document that refers to a divorce when we are not married and not getting a divorce? Or a document that refers to a gift when there is no gift? I am wondering if there is another service in the East Bay that offers the same services, but more reliable and competent.
