I have had a couple of services done here. I have a 2008 SL 55 AMG, Mercedes Benz. I had super charger oil changed, transmission mount, changed, and a belt wrap kit for the small supercharger pulley. In each case, Jan did a great job. Noticeable difference in the car's performance also.I would highly recommend these guys for maintenance and mods for your Mercedes.

Never been to this business, but I just called to get a quote on how much a diagnostic test would be for my vehicle, and the guy who answered the phone was very rude. His tone, attitude, and irritability was extremely felt on my end. I ended the call immediately because the way he was putting his misery on me was so unprofessional. His attitude was like he didn't want to be at work and do his job. I asked simple questions about the process, and he immediately had an attitude and spoke in a condescending way. I had high hopes for this business based on the reviews from other people, but it's safe to say those really don't matter at the end of the day, because everyone is going to have a different experience. Didn't catch the guys name that took my call, but whether he is an employee or the owner, his actions just lost a potential loyal customer.

I've had both my 2006 SLK55 AMG and my 2010 Audi S4 repaired here. You will never feel like you are being taken for a ride or be asked to make an unnecessary repair. Everything they recommend is needed and they will do their best to save you money when possible. You will get to see the parts that were replaced when you pick up your car.For the AMG Jan showed me the problems he was fixing clearly and found ways to minimize costs on an expensive repair bill that I knew the car needed and was overdue. We found the same Brembos from another vendor instead of Mercedes and I saved probably $700. You can feel 100% comfortable with any quoted prices. My key battery died and I only had one key, Jan is one of the only people in the area who can make you a 2nd key and it was a reasonable price, now I have 2 working keys.On my 2010 S4 I was taking it to an Audi specialist, but I was quoted a $7000+ to replace the entire front suspension when they could not diagnose the source of a front-end clunk. Jan figured it out and the cost was pinpointed and turned out only to be $1200 to fix. German Autotech is an incredible place to take your vehicles and is 100% trusted. If someone can't figure out a problem, they will take pride in being the ones to solve it. They are so good that the shop often has a lead time, so plan accordingly. The wait is worth it.

I have been taking my car for years to the Porsche dealer. Finally realized how expensive they were and so based on the yelp reviews I tried German auto tech. They were great, they answered my questions. They serviced my car with a 30,000 mile service plus they found a rat infestation in the carcleaned it fixed it and set me up for going forward. This looks like it has been here for years and the Porsche dealer never dealt with it. Not only this, but the price was reasonable and the service and employees were great.this is where I will be getting my Boxster fixed and serviced from now on. Thank you guys.

Definitely the best shop around, especially for German cars or high end cars. I always feel comfortable leaving my keys with Jay and the staff there. Jay is very helpful and knowledgeable, he saved me money more than once, and he has become my go to mechanic for all my 6 cars. They also have good relationships with local dealers like Porsche, MB, and Audi. Highly recommend shop!

I have brought my Audi to them multiple times and they have consistently gone above and beyond what I have expected. They have also been very honest with recommendations: once told me it was more worth my while to have the dealer fix a particular issue than what would cost me more through them. They once uncovered an error by the dealer and took care of it at no further charge despite my car being there for something unrelated. I strongly recommend them to anyone with a German car for honest, fair, and high quality work.

I appreciated service received by Jan in my first visit to his repair shop last week. I had to wait several weeks to get an appointment but was very happy with the service recieved. Fair pricing which was a welcome relief from the BMW dealership. I will be returning for all my future maintenance and repair needs on my BMW X1.

Just took my recently purchased 2005 Porsche Cayenne in for the annual service. After their initial inspection, they called with a list of problems the car had. I bought the car used and knew about some of the problems but not the others. They could have just done the service and sent me on my way. Instead, he gave me a very honest assessment of the vehicle and suggested it may not be worth doing the service. I was ready to pour more money into this money pit, but instead of just taking my money, they helped me see what I was getting into. I'll be selling this car to someone willing to put the work into it. But I'm happy to now have a trusted mechanic for whatever my next vehicle may need.

As an owner of a Classic Land Rover Defender 90, trying to find a mechanic that understands these cars, takes pride in their work, and is not price gouging is hard to find. I am so glad I found Jan and Steve at German Autotech. Both of these guys are amazing. They are the type of mechanics that do not overlook anything. If they see something, they say something. They are always extremely friendly, professional, and willing to do what is right over what might be "easy." They have helped me rebuild the drivetrain and then some, in my Defender and bring it back to life. This included the transfer case, transmission, glow warmer relay, suspension, and more. Without them, my car would not be where it is today. This shop is a rare place that takes great care in their service and customer relationship. I can not say enough about Jan and Steve. They consistently go above and beyond and are highly communicative. This shop is a diamond in the ruff. Highly Recommended

Sergio and his crew have taken great care of my car for me. Their explanation of the issues that presented with my '09 Audi A4 made me feel that they have a strong, experience-based understanding of the way the car is designed and how best to fix it. I have a few more recommended items to service and will definitely be back to German Autotech soon.

Nothing but the best experience with Jan and German Autotech. I feel relieved that I found someone that will work on my car. He is honest, reasonably priced and he knows a great deal about FIAT Abarths. I will be going back for all the maintenance and repair that I need. Two thumbs up!!

I've owned a 75' 450SL for 28 years (I'm the 2nd owner). Over the 28 years I've owned my "treasure", I've relied on the the local MB dealership and 3 independent German auto repair businesses in the Bay Area to maintain my car. Fortunately for me, I met Jan's dad and after he admired my car, he told me about his son, Jan, who owned German Autotech. I thought I was getting good service for my car before, but now, I'm getting GREAT service for my car and at reasonable price. My car has never performed better or looked better than it does now. Jan and Steve are absolutely the best! Thank you!!!!

Terrific service from beginning to end, plus follow up. I have a Porsche with 200,000 + miles that needed some extensive service. They told me what to expect and kept me informed. They showed and described to me any additional work that was needed. Jan and Steve, thanks so much. Me and Baby are doing great!
