I enjoy shopping and supporting small, local businesses. This tiny market is very small and the prices are not competitive. I didn't find what I was looking for (mochiko flour and ube extract) but I did pick up a small bag of loose leaf tea and some fresh mochi which was up at the counter. I may have been overcharged since the tea was marked $6 something. The mochi had no price on it but my total rung up to over $15. Kind of steep but I paid and didn't question. Truthfully, I probably won't come by again. They do have a good selection of the Hawaii's Best brand.

I can remember coming to this store, when I was about 5 yrs old with my O bachan " grandma, Reiko Sugimoto. Every other weekend on a Saturday. We would buy food, go back to her place and make all kinda of Japanese cuisine. I love this place, it reminds me so much of Japan. So authentic and original, so different than the .99€ ranch. So many products to choose from, and I like that, they sell sushi on Saturday. The authentic version like my grandma makes. So yummy and fresh, I like that I am 1/4 Japanese, along with a couple more nationalities. Every time I come into the store reminds me of going back to my roots. I have children of my now, all grown up. Now I bring my children with me, almost every time I shop here, keep the tradition of my grandma. I love this place, so cute and small store. Reminds me of when I was a young girl about five years old, and it brings me down memory lane. I love that it stays so original and authentic. They stock up on their products, fast customer service, and I like that there's so many options to choose from. I will be coming to this store, forever however long it remains. Five stars !!!! Bon appétit !

Love this little Market. It's a little hidden gem. They have about everything you need to make Thai dishes. They also have a variety selection of fresh fish. I love getting they're fresh whole wheat noodles and fresh cut sukiyaki beef. They also have burdock root which is amazing !

Small tightly packed market that has a myriad of wonderful Asian and Hawaiian goodies. They had my favorite miso in the cooler section and they had a variety of Hawaiian Sun products that I had not seen before. It's a voyage of discovery that is well worth the trip.

This place is great! I got a pound of Ahi Tuna, 3/4 pound of Himachi, two frozen containers of seaweed salad and a bottle of green tea for a little over the price of a pound of Ahi Tuna from Oke Poke. This stuff is cheaper and better and is helping me with my Poke problem :)The Himachi was like pure butter. The Ahi Tuna is amazing. All the goodies you need to make sushi or poke bowls. Awesome sushi on Saturdays.

This is an excellent little store selling primarily Japanese groceries. There is a complete selection of refrigerated foods, fresh fish, vegetables, canned, bottled and packaged comestibles. The store also carries some crockery and cutlery. The store is small with narrow aisles, but it's a joy to search for interesting items. Parking may seem limited in front, but there is a large lot in back accessed through a very narrow driveway. This store saves us a long drive to San Francisco. We love this place and the owner is very friendly.

This place is definitely off the beaten path and easily overlooked... but also a hidden gem! They've got all sorts of Japanese, Hawaiian, and other Asian grocery items that aren't always so easy to find in regular grocery stores. Parking is tough (a few spots out front and a handful in the back) and the place is tiny and crammed full of stuff, it definitely feels like you're walking back into time when you come in here! We were pleasantly surprised to find some of our Hawaiian favorites here (Hurricane popcorn, guava pancake syrup, etc) and at reasonable prices for the mainland.

First off, this store is easily overlooked, because it's kinda in a random spot on North Main Street. Second, the food store itself is tiny. However, this place has everything you need to make Chinese and Japanese and Hawaiian meals, including fresh sashimi and fresh wheat noodles for saimin. I bought everything from Green tea with roasted brown rice, seaweed, bamboo shoots, miso soup, hamachi, tuna, albacore sashimi. Everything is fresh and absolutely delicious. The owner is very nice, man of few words, but always polite and helpful. The place itself is small and can get crowded, but if you go at 10am, it's pretty empty and you have the place to yourself :)
