Disappointing experience. Not a good experience Purchased an expensive wool and viscose area rug that was recommended by one of their designers. They neglected to inform me the material the rug is made of cannot be professionally cleaned. If it is cleaned it will never look as good as it did when it was new, and the overall quality will deteriorate much faster compared to a wool or synthetic rug. Evidently the viscose shrinks and the rug can shrivel. I found this out today when I scheduled professional carpet cleaners to come out to clean it. They refused to clean the rug. I have pets and the designer knew this. If I had known this I would have NEVER purchased the rug. I have also experienced issues with communication. I purchased a painting that ended up not working for me and asked if they had recommendations on where I could resell it. I never got a reply.

My spouse and I recently sold most of our belongings and relocated from Michigan to CA to be closer to our family. We need to furnish our new condo. A neighbor offered a few furniture resources in order of her preference. Countrywood Interiors was our first and only stop. Owner/designer, Filly, is fabulous! Her professionalism, experience and integrity were demonstrated every step of the way. The showroom is beautifully furnished with many decor samples and options. And she knows her resources! We saved hours of trying to search for designs, fabrics and finishes on our own. All of the companies that Filly carries are recognized as highly reputable manufacturers.Furnishing an entire residence can be overwhelming and expensive. Filly attentively listened to us. She is confident (without being pushy) and offered great complimentary professional design solutions. Her design associate, Shannon, even showed us a photo of a credenza we were considering, that she recently placed into a client's home. Beautiful! Sold! The prices are competitive. The service is PRICELESS. Look no further. After several visits, we placed our orders yesterday and can't wait to see our stuff!

We found the owner Filly to be awful. We ordered about $31,000 dollars of furniture. We had already picked it out. We asked her to match price and she did. She ordered the wrong size bar stools. She never corresponded with us. We had to keep asking about delivery timing. She gave us a date for when our furniture was going to arrive. So we got rid of our master bedroom, dining room, and family room furniture. We then had to reach out to a filly again to make sure everything was as scheduled. It turned out she read her email wrong. So we were without furniture for 8 weeks. She never took responsibility for any mistakes. She could not understand why we were upset. She then told me she did not want us to see her in person as she was afraid for her safety. So when we got furniture she all the sudden wanted to come to our house for payment. She then said we were raciest against Latino women. Well my daughter is married to a Latino man. Matter of fact I'm not sure Filly is even Latino. I'd stay away from her business. We decided to go back to Coles Interior where they keep you up in whatever you order. They may charge somewhat more but worth the extra cost. Filly is a small player in a big business. It was honestly the worst experience we have ever had. She lies and find her down right rude. Good luck if you use her for a big job. Went with her on a couch for family room. Will be selling it as we hate it. It was the only thing we still need to pick out.

Thank you, Shannon! She has been a huge help. Over the course of a few months, we bought a new dining set (Saloom brand); a new sofa, swivel chair/ottoman (Robin Bruce/Rowe) and a lovely new bedroom wool rug (Jaipur Living brand). I'd been putting off these purchases for about two years, because the thought of figuring out West Elm, Crate and Barrel, vs. online-only retailers was so daunting, and I wasn't looking forward to spend money on stuff that could be a total dud. Pros: -- Saves a TON of time. I had already spent hours on websites with no idea what I really wanted. I took a few ideas from Instagram, pics of our actual spaces to Shannon, and in a few days, she narrowed it down to 2-3 amazing options that totally fit our requirements and budget. (She was VERY respectful about budget- she was frank about what spending less or more money would get us, and was honest about what budget was realistic or not, and for stuff that was over budget, provided great cheaper options) -- **If you can afford West Elm et al, you can afford Countrywood** and get even more bang for your buck in terms of quality. I'm sitting on COMFY GORGEOUS DOWN-FILLED COUCH CUSHIONS as I write this for the same price as a sofa with a thin piece of latex cushion from Article. -- Great, expert advice so you get colors, materials and construction that actually makes sense for your life, not just whatever is cool on Instagram Cons: This is actually more of an FYI. They work with a lot wholesale-only furniture brands that only sell through decorators/retail, and anything custom will take a few months(!!!) especially because of COVID. Shannon does know which options are easier/faster to get, but if you really fall in love with a certain piece, be prepared to wait. But honestly, I've read online reviews of people ordering West Elm for a chair, and it taking MONTHS with NO actual updates. In my case, I emailed Shannon, she calls the factory, and I got shipping updates by the next business day.

I wondered into the shop over a year ago looking at the art prints I saw from the window and also saw a great sofa. But, I wasn’t looking to buy at that point. Shannon gave me all the specs and estimated price for reference and I said we’d keep it in mind. Fast forward to a couple months ago, the hubs and I were ready to sofa shop and we did the rounds of the big stores. We both prefer to support local shops and so I took him to see the original couch. Shannon and Filly were so great and helped us customize the sofa/chaise for our funky little room. We just received the piece and LOVE it! It has transformed the room and we couldn’t be happier with the customer service every step of the way.

I had a great experience working with Shannon at Countrywood. She came out to our home for a design consultation and had great ideas and a super sense of style and layout. After that I went into the store to narrow down the options with her. I ended up buying furniture elsewhere for reasons that had nothing to do with Shannon or the store, which is beautiful. I highly recommend Countrywood and Shannon.

In the past, I've wasted a lot of money purchasing furniture online with no overall plan and no understanding of how to bring things together with rugs, pillows, accessories, etc. I've had many people recommend Filly to me, but I assumed I could not afford her. The reality was I couldn't afford not to visit her. She has vision, works within your budget and gets you into quality furniture for the same price as the throwaway stuff at West Elm. I highly recommend Filly and Countrywood Interiors. In fact I am having her back to my house again, a year later, to continue with my project. She doesn't mind that I don't have a lot of money to spend, she's happy to consult. And here's a message to the ignoramus person named "JJ" below. Clearly JJ is not a small business owner as he/she has no idea how devastating it is when someone flippantly gives a business 3 stars because their website is down.

I stopped by Countrywood Interiors on a walk a few months back and had the chance to sit down with one of their interior designers, Stephanie. From the moment we started talking about what kind of upgrades for our living room we were looking for, I knew Stephanie was the answer. Her knowledge of design combined with furniture styling, colors and our budget really set me at ease. She has been easy to work with, accommodating and extremely professional. If you are looking to transform your living room from a one-tone dated mess into a setting you will be proud to have friends and family over to enjoy, go to Countrywood Interiors and meet with Stephanie. You won't be disappointed! Excellent interior designer!

My good friend, Jessica, went into the store recently and told me her bad experience. She said it was very quiet that it was uncomfortable . She wondered why there wasn't any music playing like most decent stores have. She also told me that the burnette lady wasn't very friendly. She didn't greet her when she came in. She even racially profiled/stereotyped her and told her "Make sure you stay where I can see you". As if she was going to steal something. My friend said she was just on her phone while she was just browsing. Not professional at all to talk to a customer as if they're your child and that was very rude and could be taken as indirectly racist. Not to mention she was the only one in the store, you would think she would be treated better. Customer service is lacking here. The furniture was nice and stylish but seemed overpriced.

Local friends/home decor lovers, Please check out Countrywood Interiors in Walnut Creek. I walked in there after work today BEYOND frustrated. I ordered a tv console online from Z Gallery on Aug. 4. Today is Sept. 26 - No Console to date. I've called them more than 5 times, emailed them more than 5 times & NOTHING. (Rumor is they may be in bankruptcy) Walked into Countrywood Interiors looking to find another tv console. There were 2 definite contenders, but when I was complaining to the gals working there, Filly & Shannon, about my frustration with Z Gallerie, they sprang into action asking me for a pic of what I ordered from Z Gallerie & that they probably know/work with the vendor. AND JUST.LIKE.THAT. VOILA!! Indeed they do, and they ordered it for me on the spot. So as of now, the same tv console I ordered from Z Gallerie that has never arrived has been ordered through Contrywood Interiors - shipped to their warehouse for me to pick up, hence no delivery charge!!. A huge THANK YOU to Filly & Shannon for your help! You guys rock!!

Looks like Cayla conducted a secondhand and quite frankly, unbelievable review. I’m sure you’re all as disgusted as I am to hear that her friend didn’t experience any music, but allow me to give a first hand review. I bought a sofa from there and it’s awesome. The owner is a minority woman so I don’t buy this “racial profiling” accusation. The sofa I bought was a beautiful piece of furniture and the owner gave me a good deal. Maybe if Cayla actually went there she would have had a positive experience, but I don’t take keyboard avatar-warriors as the furniture purchasing type.
