They should get 5 stars for ignoring you!!!! They want to make it very clear they are appointment only apparently. 4 people in there just sitting at their desks (not helping customers) and after 20 minutes of me being in there looking at hardware for THREE bathrooms, not a single person had asked if I needed help!! I will take my business elsewhere!!

After being in the store for about 20 minutes, a man finally asked if I needed anything and I said yes, some help would be great. Then I was informed by a very rude woman that they work by appointment only. That's fine, I get it, but did you really have to wait so long to tell me? I was informed that appointment information is posted on their website and on their front door. I did not view their website, nor did I see the post on the front door. And if I did have an appointment, would they have waited that long to ask me? Maybe they should take time to greet people when they walk in the front door and not be so rude.

Kevin K, the showroom manager at Belmont Hardware in Walnut Creek is a rock star. He helped me source a hard to find Rohl part based on a few pictures I showed him. He jumped in, contacted the manufacturer without hesitation and then the replacement part showed up within days. For anyone needing hardware of fixtures, know that the customer service at Belmont Hardware is top notch. Thank you Kevin and Belmont Hardware.

Amy at Belmont Hardware in Walnut Creek is an absolute treasure for guidance around any and all things plumbing. She has the patience of a saint and quickly and thoroughly responds to all of my questions (and I have no shortage of off the wall questions!). She also gave me the detailed insight I needed into manufacturing quality and reliability, as well as a better understanding of how the finish samples compare to the actual finished product and ultimately, helped me make a last minute change that will dramatically improve the look and quality of my primary bathroom project. I'm so grateful that I came across Amy and cannot recommend her enough, especially if you're looking for help with a bathroom remodel!

Just wanted to share a truly positive experience I had with Belmont Hardware in Walnut Creek. I visited their store several times (too many times to count) to select new kitchen cabinet hardware for our kitchen remodel. I never had an appointment, I was always a walk-in. I was always graciously helped by Kris and never made to feel that I was there too often or being an inconvenience for not having an appt. I was able to purchase and return sample hardware pieces to see how we liked them at home on our cabinets before making a larger purchase. I never would have thought to ask to return the sample pieces but Kris offered it as an option, and it was very helpful in allowing us to bring several samples home to choose from at no cost to us. Even after placing an order for all of our hardware, we decided we didn't like the knobs we chose for a few of our cabinets. I rushed another knob order on Amazon so they could be here in time for our hardware install, and Kris still happily returned the first knobs for us, despite me not reordering them through her, and refunded my money, all very graciously and without any attitude whatsoever. I'm very impressed with her service. We love the hardware we chose. I priced out our hardware online with a handful of online retailers and to my surprise, Belmont had them all beat. Add to that Kris' wonderful customer service, and I have no hesitation in recommending Belmont Hardware to everyone I know.

Decent selection of fixtures. The problem here is the service. Rude staff, with attitude for no reason. No follow up or support on products they sell when things break. Wish we hadn't used them for our home. Take your business elsewhere.

Appointment only for no good reason. It's May 2021, I'm vaccinated, and wearing a mask. Staff is rude and incredibly unhelpful. Don't bother with this place. Go anywhere else.

We have been a repeat customer with positive experience. BUT after driving 20+ minutes to the store only to be turned away. There is a sign on the door that states "by appointment only". We had looked online prior to arriving. Noticing their hours are limited to only M-F 9-5, which is very inconvenient for a full time working customer. No weekend hours. No where in online search did it read by appointment only. So we called from the parking lot to ask if we could come in, to which someone responded "we have no available appointments right now". You just lost a repeat customer, we will not be back! You have wasted our time! What sort of customer service is this?!@#?!

I have relied on Belmont Hardware on multiple occasions over the last several years. I needed various cabinets and doors hardware and found them to be extremely helpful each time with a large selection of choices and access to catalogs for the most respected brands.I have dealt with Tracy, showroom manager, on several occasion and appreciate her great communication skills and willingness to explain things to me, understanding I am not a door hardware expert and don't speak the lingo. I have found their prices to be very reasonable (cheaper than some internet sources) and their lead times to be quite good (usually about a week). I also like that they communicate very efficiently to let me know when my orders have arrived. Even during COVID-19, they have made the whole process stress free and safe.I live in Oakland and gladly drive out to Belmont Hardware in Walnut Creek any time I need great hardware.

Wow!! If you need new knobs and handles for your project, you will never find anywhere with a bigger selection. Found what I wanted, ordered and received in a timely manner! Chris helped me figure out, how many knobs and how many handles I needed. What size to buy. She made it easy!!

I was in a bind looking for a Schlage Thru bolt cap for a customer. Happened to be in the neighborhood of Belmont Hardware hoping they could help me. While Belmont tends to carry high-end hardware for the homeowner wishing to build a monument to their good taste and not Schlage, Gina Sullivan was the best! She knew what I was looking for, went online and located it for me to acquire when I returned to my office. Gina went above and beyond and could not be more impressed. We sell a lot of doors to homeowners in the Bay Area and need a top-notch go to company like Belmont Hardware. Thank you Gina for taking good care of me when you didn't really have to. Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus! On the recommendation of my friend, Rich, I walked through the front door of Belmont Hardware late Friday afternoon this week before Christmas. Under my arm was a brand new Baldwin Reserve entry lock set that I had purchased at a big box hardware retailer and had shipped to my home. I had attempted to install it and though I am mechanically inclined and can do most repairs around my home, this lock set had me baffled! I was greeted with a smile by Jack and when I asked for the expert on all things lock related he directed me to Samantha. I'd come to the right place! I explained my dilemma and stated my wish to have the lock set re-keyed to my existing house key if and only if we could solve the dilemma I faced while attempting to install this new premium front door lock set! Samantha unboxed the set and looked over the components as I explained my frustration with attempting to attach the exterior handle. After looking over the parts, Samantha scratched her head and we both laughed! I didn't feel like such a fool as Samantha couldn't figure it out either! Samantha got on the phone to the Baldwin "go to guy" and he walked her through the process solving the mystery and explaining what was not explained in the printed directions (in both English and French!) that came with the lock set. Problem solved!....well, maybe! Samantha then proceeded to re-key my lock and with a smile said, "No charge!" Now that was over the top! Not only had I taken time from her to solve a problem on an item that I had purchased elsewhere but she laughed and said that we had both learned something! I insisted on paying the re-keying fee and had a wonderful conversation with not only Samantha and Jack but also Colleen who had watched the drama unfold. Bottom line: If you desire to have first class service, with compassion and a smile, you have come to the right place! My experience was more than the five stars allotted and I will spread the good news to all that Belmont Hardware is the place to go! Merry Christmas! Gratefully, Mike H. PS: Upon returning home I installed the new lock set in 15 minutes! Thank you Samantha, Jack and Colleen at Belmont Hardware!! You made my day!
