I have been doing "car stuff" for most of my life and usually do all my own work, even down to timing belts and chains. But I don't own a tire machine so I usually end up at Wheel Works, America's Tire, or Big-O. All of which have left me dissapointed on most of the time.
I care about the quality of work and the value recieved, hugely. Getting the little things right really, really matters to me. I wanted to get away from bigbox USA and try a local shop out, so off to A1 I went for a tire rebalance.
A1 had to give me bad news that three of my wheels were bent but they balanced them the best they could. I was very disappointed in the news but so it goes, it's not their fault. Funny enough, every other shop said the wheels were fine and I didn't hit anything new. I digress. . .
So, I gave them a shot on balancing my racetrack wheels (with track oriented rubber). The three times prior, balanced at big box stores, things vibrated. I was told that it was because they were performance tiers.
A1 balanced these things, said they were straight, and sent me on my way.
Imagine my surprise when my car rolled along smooth as silk. Felt like an entirely different vehicle. Things were exactly as they said and work was done right the first time.
On such as simple and common thing, where three other shops faltered, after multiple attempts...
A1 GOT IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!
I'm stingy and particular. Yet, they earned my business.

We got a flat tire 2 hours away from home, they gladly put in extra effort to try and repair an almost irreparable tire and provided very fast, friendly, honest service. After service, the manager George very kindly refused to take pay for the service and said he just wanted us to get home safe.

Took both my vehicles in last month for oil change and to be checked out. They were very honest, friendly and did a great job. Have been there before for brakes, water pump change and hoses replaced. My car and truck aren’t new. One 2006 and the other 2012. They run like new.

We have been going to A-1 for years and they are awesome. Last visit my car needed more work than I thought and they asked if they could keep it overnight. I needed to pick it up that day as I had to head out of town so they sent one of their guys to pick up a part vs waiting to have it delivered and got everything done that afternoon. Great service from smart friendly people at reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?

Made an appointment for an oil change and smog repair through the online form. The email in response to confirming the appointment was incredibly unprofessional. Once my car had been dropped off for over three hours, I called to check on the status, only to be told it was sitting there waiting for me to come pick up the car. I just had a loose gas cap and they didn’t even change my oil, WHY did it take 3 hours?? I wouldn’t recommend going to this place due to the timing and unprofessional nature of the situation.

I have used A-1 Brake and tire for over 10 years. I have nothing but great things to say about the quality of service , care, communication and pricing. Kathy, Joe, and George are awesome individuals. I get honest information about my services needed, great pricing, no over-selling or suggestions about things not needed for my repairs. They are just great, down to earth individuals that I trust... because they exude qualities of sincerity. They have serviced and repaired my Mercedes, Volvo, Camaro... all still running great. I have also referred other individuals who loved the service!! Great honest business, which is rare these days.

these guys do amazing work over there, i refuse to take my car anywhere anymore. I've had so many issues in the past with bad experiences but none with A-1. i really appreciate all their efforts and customer service, it's been aa relief having a mechanic I can trust now.

I have been a customer of A-1 Brake and Tire for a few years. I left another company because I did not feel they were being honest in telling me what I needed to fix. I highly recommend this company as their knowledge of cars is superb, there pricing is reasonable and there are very easy to work with.

Were first recommended to me from a trusted mechanic when I needed an alignment after buying tires elsewhere last year. Decided to try A-1 for tires for another car. They offered multiple choices with great prices. Helpful communication and were able to fit me in and complete work promptly. Love the new tires, will use again
