Restaurant is closed indefinitely, hotel is still renting rooms, but no food. Great bar is gone. All the reviews are wrong, there is no restaurant.

This hotel is a wonderful place to enjoy during your trip to Volcano. The concierge Meagan could not be more professional, friendly & competent. We stayed in the Annex while some friends stayed in the hotel with the bathrooms down the hall. Both are lovely & you can’t go wrong either way. We were here for a big event and Meagan helped us every step of the way. She is amazing & will elevate your trip into the stratosphere with her attention to detail. I’m happy to say she became a friend by the end of our stay - but she knows how to read you & if you want to be left to your own devices, she can do that too. Highly recommended!

Owner has not opened bar or restaurant. Has had the place more than a year. Once upon a time, was in G.Q. as one of the GREATEST BARS. Hope they can get it together before 4th of July so they can turn it into the $$ maker it has the potential to be.

The St George continues to be a favorite weekend getaway. The place has great character, history and is well located for easy access to wine tasting. This is a no frills Hotel that is comfortable and unforgettable. We will continue to come back whenever we can.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past decade or two. It is always a very quiet and relaxing place to spend some time. It's a great location if you are coming up to attend the local theater as well. It is walking distance to everything in town. We would love to go back again.

We have stayed at the St. George Hotel numerous times over the past decades and we love the charm of the place. We have taken family members and brought friends who had never stayed there before. We will continue to be loyal customers. Great place to spend the night if attending the local theater too!

We stayed at the Saint George this week for three nights. The cabin we were in was clean and ready to go. We loved the gas fireplace heating in the room. Shower pressure was a bit low but nice and hot. The off-site manager, Meghan who is new to the hotel, is doing a great job for what she is expected to do. There is a lot of renovations being done to the rooms, cabins, restaurant and bar and new staffing is on the way. Be patient during the renovations. We would stay there again.

We made dinner reservations back on January 15, 2022 for tonight. We are staying in Volcano and that is (was) the only restaurant open in town. We arrived and heard from some locals the restaurant was closed. So we decided to walk down and check it out. Sure enough, closed temporarily for renovations. You would think they would have contacted their customers with reservations and let them know. Will not be back or stay at there hotel if this is how they manage their business.

This place needs a bartender that is not as old as the hotel and it may be worth the stop. Not impressed. If you do hopefully you have time to wait to be acknowledged. Left unserved.

Built 160 years ago, this hotel has the look and charm one would expect of the gold rush era. The property is cute and quaint. In making my booking, my goal was to find a place to stay one night on my journey up to Kirkwood for a day skiing. I was surprised to learn that the staff at the hotel would only be present from 4pm until 7:30pm. Leaving the Bay Area at 5pm, I expected to arrive around 8pm. I was strongly urged to arrive by 7:30pm, or else the staff would be gone. Luckily, traffic was light and I was able to arrive while the staff was still present. After checking in, I went out for a bite to eat. When I returned, the staff was gone, and the hotel was completely empty. Completely empty. I was the only guest. Seeing a few other reviews jokingly describing the place as "haunted", I must admit it was a bit creepy to know I was the only person in the building. But all was fine, and I enjoyed a restful night in this old, cozy, historic hotel. I hope to return to the St. George Hotel in the future, as my brief stay (only 14 hours) did not due justice to how cute and charming this place must be in a more proper 2+ day stay.
