For Penske Rental: Good experience here! You can park your car in the customer parking lot, which will remain unlocked and free for you to come back at any hour of the day or night to pick up your car later. The man who was working inside was super helpful and friendly. I did not feel intimidated by the process of renting, picking up, or asking questions. The pick up process here took about 10 minutes, and I was on my way! I recommend scheduling ahead of time, online, for a fast, easy, pre-paid pick up! That's what I did. I will always pick Penske from now on! Penske is the only company that has unlimited miles for one-way trips.

I've never been disappointed when shopping here. Employees always ask if I need assistance and never waste my time. Today, when we were having trouble choosing sockets and other electrical items, an elderly store clerk named William helped us out by giving us detailed information. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.

My job entails visiting several Home Depot stores per week in the county, and I am impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff in this particular location. When a shopper needs help or advice these associates are not only easy to flag down, but are willing to help, listen, and provide excellent service. I highly recommend this particular location. The store is always tidy, well stocked, and it is my favorite Home Depot in the county of San Diego. It is also a larger store with ample parking.

My husband and I stopped by here today to pick up a tool box since our local Home Depot didn't have the one we needed. We had a great experience as soon as we walked in the door. The woman that helped us at customer service was so sweet and extremely helpful. She called the back to have the toolbox brought up and Tony was already on his way to the front. Tony was so sweet and he didn't hesitate to offer his help loading the toolbox into the car. Definitely recommend this location! Had a great experience here and we will be returning here for any future Home Depot purchases.

Very nice home depot The employees are extremely friendly and helpful at this location. We entered from the garden section as we do so normally shopping at these kind of stores. So parking here is literally bonkers! One way in and one way out. We parked by the garden area, but just heads up... drivers don't seem to stop at a stop sign and continue to drive... soooo in point. Stop. Look and be a good driver. Pedestrians and your children, watch out! Garden area was well stocked and plants are happy looking and healthy. I'm becoming a plant mom weekever I see plants. Keep your receipts and your pots, if something happens to your plants you can exchange them for new ones. The store itself is laid out a bit confusing however, lots of employees it seems like they are everywhere so you can ask. We didn't have a problem finding anyone to ask. Well stocked for summer BBQs already put together, so if you need one! Great prices too and plenty of selections to choose from. Our checkout Gal, was I believed named Debbie. Super kind and just all around awesome, patient, and a joy to chat with. My kiddos enjoyed asking her questions and she was very patient and seemed to enjoy the conversation plus all the help by my kiddos. haha! She definitely gets the 5 star A++ customer service here. Thank you for making our day and making sure we had everything. One of the nicer home depots I've been to imo.Didn't see any equipment rental, might be on the other side which was another enquiry to see made by my son. Seemed odd not to see any but definitely ask. Being in more of a rural area, those things are needed by farmers, landscapers, or even homeowners. Reason I knocked off a star, I feel they really need to do something about the parking lot and the fact that myself and my kids literally almost got hit with a passing car not even stopping...shook me up a bit but it's the whole parking lot. Chaos. Silly reason to knock a star but that's my peace.

Started my flooring install in 10/2022. Was told that it would be installed before 12/25/2022. Had to pay upfront total cost of the job. Was then told that it would not be installed until after the holidays, more like the middle of January. Ok... they came to do the install, which I was told that they had the best person on the job. He spent a weeks doing half the job. Came back and stated he needed to level the area, but not to worry he does this all the time. Another week passed. Has the JW head guy review his work. Begins to do the sexy half of the job. Brings in a machine to ground down the floor, makes it less level, does not use quick level as he used thin set for tile. Places the rest of the flooring. Does not use all the product that was needed for the install. I then have ANOTHER persons product at my house from another install. States that he needed to come back to do the base boards now a month into the job. At the end of February the installer comes back and slams the base boards out. They are horrible not level. He did not install the rest of the materials needed, it instead takes them. My products, that I paid for. The floors immediately start to show that they are failing not even before the flooring job was finished. Installer tells me that don't worry they have to replace your floors they are definitely defective. I then have now spent over 7 months waiting for assistance from the Home Depot. They lie and waste your time and money. DON'T SHOP HERE. I am have injured myself on the splintering flooring that they claim is perfect after having multiple contractors tell me that they have never seen flooring that has fallen apart so quickly. Oh yeah they even delivered my products I. The rain and just left them in front of my house. Where I had to hand move ALL the product myself, as I was told that they forgot to put it on the books for delivery. They get your money and tell you that the product is life proof, it's not. They then tell you that it's a warranty claim, then tell me that it's all my fault. Mind you the flooring was falling apart before the installation was complete. I have been stuck with damaged dangerous flooring that has sharp edges and splinters around the boards for 4 months with no solution in sight. Don't waste your money/ time with this company. The PRODUCT is called LIFE PROOF and it's anything but that. They sent out the Area manager Jeff whom told me that he would take care of it due to everything that I have been subjected to during my experience with Home Depot. That was a lie. I am still spending $300/ month for the pod that I have had in front of my house cause I can't bring any of my belongings in my home due to the flooring chipping and cracking leaving sharp open wood edges. Mind you this is life proof flooring. I wish I never went with this company. I should have know seeing that no one there actually care about the job they do. They took my money and left me in a very bad place. I will never shop at the Home Depot going forward. Mind you the flooring was falling apart as they where installing it, and yet they blame the customer and call me a lier. When I have documentation on the whole experience. DO NOT SHOP WITH THE Home Depot!!

Dear Mr. Edward Decker/CEO of Home Depot, This is the only way I know how to send a message to you. I hope someone please kindly help delivering this message to you. My main intention of this message is to have my recent online purchase issue resolved in a timely manner and to satisfaction to us- me as a customer, and Home Depot as the seller. On April 26th, 2023 I purchased a Whirlpool fridge and a Whirlpool dishwasher and 5 years Protection Plan from Home Depot website. The fridge was delivered and installed on May 1st, 2023 but not the dishwasher. They said they'd come back another time for the dishwasher. On May 10th, the installers came back, checked the water system and asked us to get a plumber to change the valve underneath the sink before they could install the dishwasher. We had a plumber changed the valve and called Home Depot back to schedule another appointment for May 23rd. On May 23rd, The installers performed installation and left. The next day, I heard a small booming noise near the kitchen so I came over and I smelled the smell of smoke. I called my husband who came home later and he found out that the breaker for the dishwasher was shut off by itself. He made that conclusion because we were a 3 people household, I was home by myself, my husband was at work and my 9 years old son was at school. My husband called Home Depot again to report the issue. I also went to the Home Depot store #1074 on 2430 S. Melrose, Vista CA 92081 to report the issue, asking them to help solving this issue. The customer service representative was rude, dismissive and condescending. He stated that It was no longer Home Depot issue since my order was online and Home Depot was only responsible within the 48 hours after the purchase was made. I told him I also purchased the 5 years Protection Plan, he looked at the Billing Information-Purchase Order I gave him and bluntly said to me that "You only purchased Protection Plan for the refrigerator, you didn't purchase Protection Plan for the dishwasher". The 5 years Protection Plan was written in CAPITAL LETTERS, how did he miss it? I felt he was refusing to acknowledge your company responsibilities even when the agreement between Home Depot and customers was made in legal binding document. I called the Home Depot 1-800-455-3869 again and they installers were sent to my home on June 8th, 2023. Upon inspection, the installers found out the hot wire was cut. The installers instructed us not to use the dishwasher and call Home Depot back for resolution. When I called the 1-800-455-3869 again, the customer service rep said I needed to contact Whirlpool because Home Depot is no longer responsible. This puzzled me because I purchased the dishwasher from Home Depot, I do not have a legal contract to start a conversation with the manufacturer. The point I am trying to convey are:a./ In this business world, where online market is booming, while Home Depot online web site makes it very easy to complete an order, specifically with orders that cost more than $500, it fails to follow through and resolve issue in a timely manner. This is a definite turn-off for customers.b./ There seems to be a serious disconnection between Home Depot online purchase and the physical Home Depot stores since the customer services at the store, specifically store #1074 gave me a distinct impression that Home Depot refused to accept any responsibilities for online purchase.c./I was on the phone with the Home Depot 1-800-455-3869 while I was writing this review. This conversation I had with the Home Depot customer service gave me an impression that the installers seem to be irresponsible, lack honesty and lack accurate report to ensure maintaining a decent working relationship between Home Depot and customers. Before this incident, I had always been impressed with the way Home Depot is doing business. I frequently made purchases at store #1074. The employees at the store had always been extremely helpful and courteous. However, my first big items online purchase with Home Depot turns out to be such

Store is organized but there are cell phone signal blockers in this building. You cannot ever search, make, or receive phone calls in this Home Depot. Was told it's to prevent people from price checking but also prevents me from using their app and website to search for items in the store, nice job!

I'm not the type to throw this word out but the guy David/Dave who worked in the plastic section was super sexist. I initially asked a female worker for help with a project and she directed me to him for a certain part. When I told him her idea he said, "who told you that, a woman? Women don't know anything." I was surprised he would speak of his coworker that way. But then he had no idea how to help me and then left me....

Bought a dishwasher from Home Depot online.. set to this location. Unit arrived and was installed, but was completely broken within an hour of having it. Spent hours on two phone calls, also went in person to the location to try to get a resolution. The dishwasher was from Frigidaire, they are saying it was a faulty install. Home Depot is saying that it's the unit. So they refused to replace it, I started the refund process. In a month Frigidaire is supposed to pick up the broken unit, and then I have to call in to Home Depot to "arrange" the refund. At this point, I am pretty sure I am out the money I spent on this dishwasher which was $1000. I don't understand how they can do this to people. If I were you, I would not buy anything of high value from Home Depot, I never will again.

I called the Home Depot on Melrose in Vista and was fortunate enough to have the phone transferred to Kristi in flooring. I explained to her I had been in the store just a few days earlier and saw a metal shelving unit at the front of the store but could not locate the item online. I live about an hour away and was not able to return to the store. She went above and beyond my expectations. She stated her cell was not working and took my phone number to call me back. I could not believe it, she actually called me back in less than 10 minutes after she walked to the front of the store from the back of the store with all the information--skew #, dimensions, available colors and price. She is amazing. Home Depot is blessed to have her as an employee!!!!

If I could give this Home Depot zero stars I would. Their customer service is awful. I ordered a bbq to be built in store. The manager decided to cancel my order with no explanation except an email that said canceled. No phone call, no reason, no nothing. So I called and that manager was on break and could not speak to me but would call me back. Never got a call back. I had to call again to find out why my order was canceled. Terrible customer service.

OMG! This is the worst Home Depot I have ever been to!! No helpers whatsoever and long lines!! I decided to leave the products and headed to Lowe's instead. In and out of the Lowe's in 15 min with same products. Definitely not coming back to this Home Depot ever.
