If you have ANYWHERE else to go...run! These people made my daughter & myself feel worse about ourselves & our situation than when e e entered! They treated most of us the same except for a chosen "few". Bad attitudes, belittled us, & I won't even go on about all the needless rules they set into place, unreal & unnecessary. There are a number of other shelters in place that are friendly, accommodating & truly helpful towards your better future. Run from this one!!

my experience was deviation, I was turned down for having mental health problems. I can't help that and not only that without hesitation they will neglected me . I know if I was Mexican and preg they would've housed me ! Calimexico you don't help anything not MEXICAN!

Very bad and disrespectful African American lady was so run in the North county area Escondido CA she needs to be fired her and he supervisor didn't help at all she was fighting w me and her supervisor said I'm on something because they said I don't know my own kids bday how are u going to tell me I don't know when I had my child so rude from the beginning her and her supervisor shouldn't be working the making us feel we low she's working in a place while we go get free stuff covid took care lives away every body needs help some days

Operation HOPE called me back I did the intake and because I have a emotional support dog they said they were in partners with a shelter from Encinitas that would take your dog for a certain amount of days until you got your stuff together and she got me so happy and excited and she just never called me back she said there was a bed available she never ever called me back I'm very disappointed I'm very very disappointed all of these programs they don't want to help anyone I have disabilities I told her I have congenital heart disease diabetes Nash I never got a call back

Amazing what they do for those who get the help they need.. unfortunately my situation wasn’t good enough in their eyes.. Me and my boyfriend and 3 kids are currently homeless, we had an intake interview with Lupe, she was never transparent she never told me there are other people she would be interviewing for a spot in the Shelter.. she tries to lie and say she called me on Sunday mind you my checkout date from my hotel is a Monday she never called me nor left a message but decided to call me Monday morning and let us know we wouldn’t be able to get a room her response was because they are full , so why would she even bother and have us do an intake process.. I honestly feel they get to choose who they decide which is very unfair and discriminatory

She very rudely said "No" i said okay have a beautiful day. Her"Yeah you too" sarcastic toneWas not very nice about i. Voice went from super nice when picking up the phone, rude as heck.

Not the best shelter in San Diego County. The entire staff is not professional. In front of me, they even kicked out a woman with a newborn baby.because she couldn't do the job "chor". Think well before going to this shelter.

Didn't actually stay here, but I know a family who did. They have an extremely long list of terrible things the staff did, or of things that happened here. Discrimination, terrible practice, etc. Subjected one of the members of the family to significant verbal abuse, etc. Quite a bit of listed issues.

I was in the shelter and there was DV going on So I did not feel save at the shelter I reported the DV and the man was still aloud to stay wtf. It is a lot of drama with staff and other client le there in the shelter again I felt unsafe nothing was done to help me feel safe as o I felt that I had to leave ASAP I left at 9 pm at night with no where to go.

I came to donate clothes and got stared at through the door by the staff for about 5 United in which case I process to walk around the campus looking for any staff willing to help me and the people were extremely rude to me. This place is trash I hope they don't treat the people in need the same way they treated me today.
