This Michaels is pretty small for an arts and crafts store, I mean I haven't been going for a few months now, right now they have deals for picture frames buy one get one 50%, so I scored a bundle of 8.5x11 Studio Decor, I save about $10 and getting 8 frames, not a bad deal, I do wish they could apply another discount for me, the only thing missing from this store was their toys, all they have were some animal figurines and bo model cars or anything else, no anime, and no toy soldiers, you basically buy animals to make a farm or a safari, but nothing else, other Michaels might have more if I remember correctly, unless it was Hobby Lobby, still the place has a convenient spot in Vista located in a big shopping center with others

This place had very bare shelves when I went in the middle of the day. This made it hard to find what I needed and had to go elsewhere.

I just wanted to give Michaels in Vista 5 stars all the way around. Every time I go in, all of the employees are pleasant and the shopping experience has been excellent. My recent interaction with Fred who works in the frame shop was also 5 stars as well. He was very professional and interested in providing exceptional service. Great job everyone!

I have shopped at many locations of Michael's for many years. Even though majority of their employees had little to none customer service skills, it was always so fun at the end when at check out, the cashiers would ask "did you find everything you needed"? There would at least be 3-4 cashiers and slowly it has dwindled down to 1-2. The shopping experience is boring. There is no music playing, no sense of happiness and excitement. It's like walking through a garage sale or warehouse. So, here's the worst decision that this coming has made. Self check out! It is pathetic! It is now brought down to zero customer service! Another words, ring up your own items, bag up your own items, feed the computer your money and be on your way. No happy smiles, one to zero thank you and the best part, carry your own stuff cause you have a words from a real human, you can't take the carts out. Wow! What a way to set yourself up to TOTAL BORING SHOPPING!!! Attention to the corporation and owner(s) of Michael's. You have now created a way to lose 50-60% of your customers. Rethink, recreate a better way of keeping your doors open. HUMAN INTERACTION!!! GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! HIRE PEOPLE WHO ARE POSITIVE, FUN, CRAFTERS!!

While I did find what I was looking for when I got to the register myself and another customer. We're trying to ask the young cashier, how to access the 40% off barcode. The cashier didn't seem to have an answer for us and glossed over the question basically ignoring the other customer. When it was my turn, I asked for the manager who then clarified the need to log into the app to access the 40% off coupon. However the reason I'm giving this low rating is because first of all, the cashier did not try to problem solve with the first customer and completely ignored the customers question, secondly, Roberta the manager who came up to explain what was going on, was unfriendly borderline rude. I think this store needs to do some extra training on customer service, and how to interact with customers.

Hm these old reviews are.. old :) This place is always pretty well organized and stocked like it was tonight. Kind of a weird layout but it's a craft store lol our brains are everywhere anyway. Everything was in shape and getting ready for tomorrow before they close in an hour. I had two people helping me tonight, not sure who else was working. Daisy came up to me while I was on my search, asked how she could help right away.. quiet but sweet lol she was familiar with the place and knew just where the things were that I was looking for. She even told me the closest place to find what they didn't carry. Samuel was at the check out, nice kid too. I've never seen them here before the pandemic and I would have remembered bc there used to be some grumps working at this location.. Summer time now so the teens will be coming and going, hopefully management keeps hiring kids like them!
