I was diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease, by ophthalmology, losing my vision, which scared me. The ophthalmologist would NOT, see me. He said to follow up in a year, with optometry, unless I had a change in vision. I did have a vision change and was finally able to see the ophthalmologist, wish I had seen someone else. He was rude, I felt like I was bothering him, he even rolled his eyes at one point. I belong to a group with same eye disease, and everyone was referred to a retinal specialist. This doctor refused, unless symptoms become more severe. Not sure if that's a Kaiser policy. I'm so tired and frustrated with dealing with Kaiser, I'm trying to hold off seeing another ophthalmologist, and I will change doctors, definitely!!!!

Thank you, Mrs. Knight your professionalism, kindness, want to listen and help me solve my anxieties after a trauma I suffered makes me hopeful. The conversation we had showed how attentive you are. Your mannerisms and respectfulness is comforting and kind. You are the first therapist to show your genuine caring ability to communicate your concerns for my health. Thank you Kaiser for employing Mrs. Knight she is a true asset! Thank you Mrs. Knight thank you

You have to be a dungeon master to navigate the maze of primary care (have to make an appointment first), then get an appointment with a specialist, find the correct location, press the correct buttons on the phone systems... the patient experience leaves a lot to be desired. In addition, I am supposed to have an appointment scheduled, but the website states "YIELD SIGN: We’re sorry, but this feature is not available right now. Please come back later and try again."

I am shocked at the low reviews. Went I went there for the first time, I didn't know how to get to the ophthalmology appt. When a nurse who was talking to a friend and on her way out the door to go home, I felt guilty, but I asked her where the Ophthalmology Dept was. She actually said good bye to her friend and actually walked me all the way there! She was so sweet. Awesome doctor and everyone I met was were so sweet!

Avoid the Kaiser company if you can help it.Currently in a job switch and waiting for my new insurance to kick in. But in the meantime, I was willing to pay out of pocket for medication prescribed by my doctor till the new insurance started. Put in the request for a refill like always and was ignored for a week, when their policy is “allow 2-3 business days for doctor approvals”. After reAching out to have a 24hr facility send the doctor a direct message, was denied with no reason. In the message it says, “click here for more details,” to go to another page that says “some programs are no longer avail.” so I call the doctors office, and the receptionist says “we can't forward your call to the doctor’s department without express permission, I can send him a message, but please allow 1-2 business days for a response.” I explained my last message was ignored and what would happen if that is repeated, she then stated “you can call back and put in for another message to be sent” asked what would happen if it is ignored again, “you can only call in and we can resend the request.” asked about a manager or supervisor, same response. This is not to mention my appointments randomly disappearing and needing to a schedule new ones, previous times of being ignored, and delay in treatment or medication.I have never dealt with a medical company that is so uninterested in it's patients and blatantly ignores their clients.

Their surgery scheduling team is trash and they rarely pick up phone calls during business hours. They were supposed to call my number for an anesthesia approval for my brother's surgery at 9:45am and it is now 3:10pm. I called to find out that they called a different number from the one I gave them and canceled it overall. Try to avoid if possible

**** SCAM ALERT **** SCAM ALERT **** SCAM ALERT **** SCAM ALERT **** SCAM ALERT ****please see last week's review which appears below:first, I got the bewildering response from Kaiser posted on Yelp. which part of I've been trying since Thanksgiving to get a call and still hadn't heard back didn't they understand?after an additional week of badgering, I got a letter from my Kaiser case manager with Member Services. she let me know a callback from the orthopedic folks has been scheduled for 29 March. today is 11 February, and I've been waiting for a callback since Thanksgiving. do you think she's expecting flowers and a box of chocolates?

I have always had positive experiences at the Shadow ridge facility for Kaiser. My experiences have all been with either optometrists or ophthalmologists. There is typically no wait if you have an appointment.

Very good patient service from the technician that worked on my eye tests. I really enjoyed the interaction, how gentle she was and caring. She was very pleasant as 100% of the people I have interacted with at Kaiser. My only but is that the location is too far from me and was not as nice aesthetically speaking at other Kaiser medical offices. I did not see any coffee shop in the building. it there was one I could not locate, so I went across the street to get some drinks and food. I did not have to wait much time even though there were many patients in the room as well.

I had previously gotten an eye exam for a new prescription for eyeglasses. I went to the Eyeglass department here and was treated professionally and courteously by Mona. She was very patient and polite and she actually helped me pick out the glasses that seemed to work best for me. She did not try to upsell me and my out-of-pocket cost was only $79 for transition/progressive glasses! Thank you, Mona, for your great service!
