What a great coin store. Purchased $2,000.00 worth of silver recently so I could meet the tax free status here in California. Got a cool canvas money bag to carry my new bullion with me. Was there today and purchased a PCGS graded MS-64, 1896 Morgan Silver dollar. Got a great price on it. Riley seems like a knowledgeable & likable guy. Store is super clean with lots of gold and silver for the eyes to enjoy.

I’ve been coming for about 5 years maybe once a year, I’ve noticed every times I come in the experience gets worse and worse. 5 years ago they were very friendly people. I just went in today and you get the vibe that you are a nuisance or annoyance to them. They wouldn’t even pay me spot price for silver which everywhere else will because Shops usually charged three dollars over spot price or more to get their profit. I don’t think they give you the best prices for silver or gold. I would look elsewhere to sell.

Very helpful & knowledgeable. I highly recommend them & have been doing business with them since 1993. Good selection of some higher end coins & bullion displayed in showcases, but most coins are in back so just ask if you don't see what you're looking for & they will pull out trays of coins from you.

In business we look to get an honest deal. Consistently receiving an honest deal over time is what builds trust. When you look into precious metals and you start to visit the different options in the area you get a lot of smiles, but unfortunately not all of them come with good intentions. My only regret is not writing this sooner. Being in finance for twenty five years I was still naive to Precious Metals when I became interested. Quickly I learned that an extra couple bucks on silver here and there is how these multi faceted shops work. It does not have to be that way and that is how you lose customers. The first time I worked with California Numismatic Funding it was a game changer. A family owned business with the knowledge to answer any question you may have and I had plenty, so patience is strong with them. Countless trips to CNF and I honestly feel like I am walking into the comfort of my own home. They clearly have done well and I am convinced it's because once you work with them, you will not want to work with any other company. It's all about the proper deal time and time again. I have dealt with this company for many years and have never had an issue. They are honest and offer some of the best prices for gold, silver, and platinum. I would not hesitate to recommend them. After going through a passed down coin collection i had pulled out about 50 coins that i was sure were worth having a profesional look at. So i went to California numismatic funding. I showed thr man my coins, mostly old american pennys half pennys and Canadian pennys also. After inspecting them the young man said" not much here maybe $20 worth" so i frowmed and accepted the $20. A week layer i went bavk wuth a 1933 chechoslovian gold ducat. Once agsin the same man told me nothing special here and offered me $147. I was hesitant and decided to hold onto it just a bit longer. Oh yeah also as i was walking out the door the man says" if you change your mind i will be here you know i will always do you right" seriously this is what he said. So a week later i post the gold coin on ebay amd immediately sold the coin for $1000. So how do i know the coins i brought in the first time were not special slso. I can prove that i sold it on ebay. Very un trustworthy now

The folks at California Numismatic are great. Honest, accurate and pay better than any other coin shop in San Diego County. Rich and Riley have bought many coins from my collection over the years, and they've sold me several as well. They provide great guidance for investment, as well as knowledge on things to look for in coins. They are awesome!

Poor selection of coins to purchase, unfriendly staff more interested in complaining than offering service. Best to look elsewhere.
