I shop here probably every other week for my restaurant and I think this store is top notch. They have a good variety of goods here and the store itself is pretty clean. Whenever I do come by I’m greeted by the friendly staff here and if I ever need help they are always willing to help. Like another reviewer wrote they have a lot of variety here and I know prices are a bit higher for some things but it is to be expected. The general manager here is taking good care of things here and has a great team with him, I can always count on them whenever I come by and I recommend them and this location for most of your restaurant needs.

I bought several boxes of mixed greens the night before a catering job. Checked the expiration date on cardboard box before purchase and the greens I could see through the box on the top looked great. Should have opened every box before purchase and flipped them over because they were completely rotten with slime on the bottom of the bag. Thankfully they had no problems refunding me my money but I was not happy to have to run around to other store last minute to get more greens. Lesson learned. Open every product, Everytime before leaving the store.

Overall a good store. Some people are complaining about it being a poorer Smart and Final/Costco, but it offers a ton of stuff that those stores do not carry. It has a huge variety of stuff for coffee shops, which I really like. They could carry more Monin syrups, but the selection is still huge. The employees are all awesome as well.My only real complaint is that I often have issues finding the stuff I need in stock. Their stock of milk is almost always spotty, and they are often out of whole milk entirely, or will just have stuff that expires in a matter of days. They straight up seem to not carry non-fat milk, only 2% and whole, which is a bit of an annoyance for me. I’m not sure if I just seem to always come between shipments or what, but I just wish there was a bit more consistency.

I was happy and wasnt sure that do l need membership l asked the cashier they say no its for public you dont need membership and he was nice. because store that like that usually ask membership. if you home cooker or restaurant owner. You can find everything you need it here They do have the rare stuff here. And it's very good price and it's very clean place

This is a wholesale grocery store great for people who either have their own restaurants or small business. This store sells utensils and ingredients you may need. It was pretty cool and had good prices.

They have a great selection, prices are ok, not a great deal but they have the things you can't find in the grocery stores.

First time as a customer in this store. First, the store is large. Well spaces aisles with plenty of options.Second, it is exactly what it should be for a bulk purchase store.Third, the pricing is split 70/30. Yes, 70% of the prices are beyond the needs if an average income family. However, the other 30% is fair. This is not Costco or Smart and Final. There is no comparison. Those are national chain stores with the buying power.I think it unfair for this store to be rated and reviewed based on other like wholesale stores.I will say this, visit the store, and take a look around and check out some of the prices. I only say this because, 95% of restaurants use stores like this and charge an arm and a leg.I was impressed with the cleanliness of the store, and the friendly, eager to help employees. My advice, for what it's worth, don't let low reviews prevent you from visiting this store. Yes, some items are expensive, but consider the total cost spread out over X amount of meals. Or, what you would pay at a restaurant.

Always clean, well-stocked, and very affordable. For example, 20# of Basmati rice for $23.05. Who can beat that?

Even if this is a place meant for business owners, what major grocery store chain doesn't accept EBT/SNAP these days?!?!? Maybe they were different when they were still part of Cash&Carry Smart Foodservice & Smart Foodservice Warehouse Stores, but all they are now is an overpriced grocery store that still resembles the Smart & Final labels and shelving.

This place is a bit overrated & a bit pricey. They sell most items you can find cheaper at other stores & if you want bulk then you can always purchase online or at big warehouse companies as well. They also need to learn the codes for all items or have a book of them up front & not just toss out anything & charge you for it. Lady cashier was a bit rude about needing to be exact on pricing (she over charged us & was complaining about customers catching those mistakes).

Just toured The Chef Food Store for the first time and had the best experience from the get-go! As I entered the first set of automatic doors that almost didn't open...and about to take it personal , when I was followed by a very charming young lady pushing in baskets from the parking lot. Her name is Ree! Cheerfully she asked if I needed a cart and I replied in the affirmative. She instantly stopped pushing the runaways or rescued 4 wheel driven critters and told me I didn't want one of hers because they were too warm. She then pulled one from the long line of those cooled by the indoor comfort. We chatted for a couple of seconds and I took my treasured 4 wheel driven critter on an excursion up and down the formidable aisles. Later I was again helped by Ree! If you shop there or even if you don't, taking note on how to be a pleasant and personable employee like Miss Ree would behoove anyone! Thank y'all, it was a pleasurable experience all the way around.
