Very happy with the staff and treatment of our dog. Front office staff are helpful. The vet didn't recommend a plethora of vaccines and unnecessary treatments, which other vets have at other clinics. We have been twice for our dog and feel good about continuing with his care there.

The only place I will take my Furbaby! Hands down the best, most caring staff and doctors. When I lost my beloved Moxie they were so very kind and his long time doctor, Dr. Sunderson even sent a handwritten card. Fast forward to my new rescue, and Dr. Martin. She has such patience with Bubba who can be an excitable, if not always cooperative patient. She answered all my questions and even gave me tips and ideas on his care. I can't say enough good things about Care Veterinary Clinic. Thank you so much!

Jasper has been with Care vet since we brought him home at 6 weeks old. They have worked closely with us all these years and through all of his, shall we say, mishaps? Golden’s can’t help themselves and love trouble. From eating baseball gloves and tennis balls to removing cancerous tumors, we’ve received amazing Care. Dr. Asento has been our doc for years and she’s awesome. Everyone there is so kind and compassionate we can’t imagine taking him anywhere else. They even put up with Jasper walking in like he owns the place and demanding his treats before he leaves. Thank you!

My cat Lucy‘s health started to drastically decline from a mystery condition. She went from ten pounds to five in a short amount of time. After my own vet told me that it would be a month before they could get me in, I started making calls. Care was the only vet to call me back and get me in that week. Dr. Martin spent every appointment answering my questions, running tests, and brainstorming what might be going on. This meant a lot because my last vet never spoke to me face

My cat Lucy's health started to drastically decline from a mystery condition. She went from ten pounds to five in a short amount of time. After my own vet told me that it would be a month before they could get me in, I started making calls. Care was the only vet to call me back and get me in that week. Dr. Martin spent every appointment answering my questions, running tests, and brainstorming what might be going on. This meant a lot because my last vet never spoke to me face to face and took the cat back to another room. Dr. Martin gave me the time, called me with results, and did all that she could. Unfortunately, Lucy's condition did not have a cure. We had to make the hard decision to say goodbye. All of the staff at Care were supportive, professional, and respectful during this process. I got the feeling that they truly cared about their jobs and our pets. Dr. Sunderson helped us say goodbye and sent a sweet sympathy card after. It was a terrible experience to have to go through, but it was made so much better with the support of Care and the peace of mind that we truly did all that we could.

I can't put into words how much I love this place and their staff! Time and time again they come in clutch for my cats and dogs. Dr. Asento is absolutely wonderful and couldn't be more compassionate. I took my chihuahua in a few years ago for an exam after she was behaving as if she was experiencing some stomach problems one morning. I called their office and even though I had never been to their office before, they got us in right away with no hesitations. They gave my girl some probiotics that really made a difference in her digestive processes and we keep them on hand to this day for her. A few months ago, I had to have my kitten put to sleep. Dr. Asento was the one to provide the services that day and she couldn't have been more comforting. She explained the process and reassured me he wouldn't feel a thing. It was such comfort for my broken heart that day. I took a litter of 3-4 week old kittens I've been bottle feeding to their office for a look over and was so happy to be seeing Dr. Asento again. She was so sweet, gentle and caring with these babies and I enjoyed our visit so much. If I could give more than 10 stars, I would in a heartbeat!

Dr. Sunderson is absolutely the greatest. I moved here 8 yrs ago from Paso Robles and had to find a veterinarian. I was so lucky to find Dr. Sunderson, he is so compassionate with my animals, has never tried to push me one way or the other(no guilt trips here) I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent veterinarian at care veterinary Dorothea st visalia

I have been bringing my pets here for years. I called today to try and get my dog in because her gums are red and she's been vomiting. I was told since I had not been seen since 2015, I was a new client and they were not accepting new clients. It was suggested I call around or take her to emergency vet. After hanging up, they were closed now, I realized my sick pup was born in 2016 and was spay, by them, when she was almost 2! In addition, my other 2 year old dog was seen at the Courtyard. I don't know where she got her information from. I will be calling Care at Courtyard Monday and if I get the same response I will will be changing vets after 28 years. Visalia, Ca

We come to this clinic for 17 years, they always take good care of our animals. Yesterday it was a sad time for us to put one of our Golden Retrievers to sleep at the age of 14 years. Due to the Covid-19 customers are not allowed in the clinic, but since we needed to put our sweet dog to sleep we were allowed to stay with our dog and they let us into the side door. Dr Sonja Peterson took all the time for us to say goodbye to our dog, when the dog past away without pain and actually pretty fast, Dr Sonja and the staf gave us all the time to stay with our dog to say farewell, this gave us such a peaceful feeling and made the pain for us a little more bearable. Thank you Dr Sonja and staf for the great job. Astrid & Leon

I chose this clinic a little over a year ago after I became a first time pet owner after reading all the positive Yelp reviews. As with any business, and especially one that deals with our furry family members, there are some negative reviews... but the fact that the owner always politely replies to those with an explanation really eased my concern- it showed me that he cares about people's pets AND his business and I appreciate and respect that. Dr. Neu has been our vet, and I have brought my dog Lucy in for all her vaccinations, one appointment when she was a pup and she was acting sick (they did the appropriate testing and an exam and it turned out she must have eaten something weird- she was back to her normal self a day or so later,) and for her spay. Lucy LOVES going to the vet. The girls who work here are always super sweet with her, love on her, tell her how cute she is, etc. They always ask before petting her or giving her treats, but Lucy is always so excited to see them I don't think I could keep her from them if I tried. :) Dr. Neu is great at explaining anything I need to know and answering any questions I may have, and she has a sweet, calming, professional presence... and Lucy loves her too. Dr. Neu always makes sure to give her lots of loves and pets before her exams, vaccinations, etc. I'm always provided with thorough instructions, up front estimates, etc., and they're great about using technology to communicate when vaccinations are due, emailing records as requested (in a timely fashion,) etc. Lucy's most recent appointment was today for her spay. They've definitely had to revamp procedures to accommodate their patients in the era of COVID-19, but they've adapted well- everything was done efficiently and safely. Thanks Care Vet Clinic! UPDATE: They called earlier today (the day after Lucy's surgery,) just to check on her and see how she was doing-- greatly appreciated and really classy. :)

We knew the time was coming when we were going to have to put our 20 year cat to sleep due to ongoing medical problems. The decision was made for us on Friday night when she fell off of a table and could not move her hind legs after the fall. On Saturday we called Care Vet, who we have been taking our pets to for years, to see if we could get her in. They were swamped!! but they squeezed us in. They even went out of their way so my husband could be with her to the end. There are no words that are enough to thank the staff for their kindness and compassion during a difficult time for us. We have used many different vets during the years, but Care Vet is ABOVE all the rest.
