Stopped by to buy strawberries today. The strawberries looked wonderful and their prices are clearly stated (3) baskets for $8, (6) baskets for $14, or (12) baskets for $26. I told the attendant that I'd like the 6 baskets on the counter, when she gave me the total it was more than $14- I questioned the price and was told "Well it's more because these are our last ones." I was taken aback and questioned that logic, at which point she informed me straight out "If you don't like it you don't have to buy them." I really needed strawberries, and didn't want to have to drive across town to Linnel Camp, so I went ahead and took them, and then as I walked away another customer walked up, asked for three baskets of strawberries and was told "hold on I'll go get some". So not only was I charged more than what their signage says but I was also lied to about the reason (poor as it was to begin with... I mean who raises the price because it's the last of the product?). Skeezy business practice for sure. I can understand poor service due to someone having a bad day/long day, etc but this is inexcusable. I won't be back there, strictly on principle. Linnel Camp will have my business from now on or I'll just do grocery store strawberries. I refuse to support a business that operates in an underhanded manner.
