I would come here for the bakery, floral, and produce. The best floral department in the area, they always have beautiful arrangements and they set up really cute displays. Produce is always fresh and better selection than stater bros.

the deli clises too damn early and the seafood department closes earky at 7 pm ..store is still open ..very unhappy with tbis location very disappointed they need to change hours to 9pm

I wanted a change of pace from my local Stater Brothers markets, due to their checkers being quite rude and unhelpful. We have 3 Stater Brothers in Hesperia, and since I stopped going to 9th&Main and Maple&Main Stater Brothers stores, I am limited to the C St & Main Stater Brothers. They have problems with vagrants and criminals in that area, so when driving to Apple Valley the other day, I thought, I really need to try out a different grocery store. I stopped here at Vons on Hesperia Rd & BV Rd. The store seems a bit cramped in their check-out lane area, and the seafood girl could not tell me if the salmon was fresh or defrosted, which is important to know had I wanted to freeze some. They did not have their salmon marked on the tag whether it was fresh or frozen. This is important. It felt like the space inside their store was not evenly distributed. Some areas seemed cramped, while others did not. I think they should change their lay-out. Anyhow, I give the place 4 stars on my first visit in many, many years, because the customers that shop at this store seemed more normal to me than the customers I run into at Stater Brothers in Hesperia. I saw blue collar guys fresh off of work just buying their dinner, i saw moms talking with their teenage daughters about school, an older gentlement, who looked retired. The people did not look or act like ghetto people. I found it quite astounding actually, that just a short distance away from my home, I would find this. There were no homeless people in front or near the Vons store when I was there. I guess what I'm saying is, I actually felt relatively safe coming here. I do not feel safe whatsoever going to Stater Brothers, and it has been like that for so long that I forgot what it felt like to go to a grocery store where I felt ok. Anyhow, I think I'll be going back here. I do hope that the gentlement checker who was busy talking to people on his bluetooth while I was trying to communicate with him, stops doing that in front of customers. If a boss, or other employees need to speak to you and you can't pay attention to what customers at the check-out are asking you, then you should just remove yourself from the register until you are available to communicate. I understand everyone is busy, but customers would like your attention. Thanks.

Only the deli has it together! I've been going to Safeway/Randall's/Tom Thumb/Von's for the in-house baked sourdough, for decades. It's the bomb! Crusty on the outside soft on the inside. But this location rarely has any. I waited 15 minutes, again only to be told they had none and did not even receive any today. Way to go Albertsons, stunning management, as usual.

I do instacart. So when I am at the Check out stand I always Make sure I organize my groceries. 1: to make it easier for the bagger. 2: Easier for the customer to put away when I drop it off. 3: to Keep cold things cold, and together. And I always keep meat together so they can go in a bad alone.... Today I had a girl named Alboney or something like that bagging my stuff. Well for one she just grabbed random stuff And put it in bags, it's like I already had it all nicely separated for you. So when I got to my car it took me more time to rebag everything which we are timed during our orders so that sucked I wasted time. And then on top of that she was so freaken SLOW. I don't know if she was having a bad day, or she just care about her job or what... Like even the cashier was looking at her like pick up the pace.. Everything organized so she could have just grabbed each group and put it in a bag.. I went over my time limit for the order because of her. And on top of that it's a SATURDAY, the weekend before 4th of July weekend. You would think they would have more cashiers. But NOPE. 1 REGUAL REGISTER. AND 1 15 ITEMS OR LESS, That's it . I normally love vons but today really annoyed me. Get it together and maybe train that bagger to speed up a little and how to bag correctly. My tip went down because they needed their order before a certain time. So it cost me money!!

Made an Pick-up order with THIS particular VONS, and it ended horrible! I made my order, with the neat first time online order coupon which saved me a LOT of money, I was super excited to make this order. Took a while to pick out all my items just right, double, triple check it, and finally place the order and make it official for pick-up the very next day at this particular VONS. I go to sleep, wake up excited, get text about my pick up slip , so I go print the slip on the computer to discover that I have been charged almost double of what I had payed. They added triples and doubles of what I had put on my order, all over night, what a shock! There are similar stories with both pick-up and delivery orders nationwide. I feel bad for the other horror stories, But luckily I was able to dispute without any losses except time and piece of mind..... If this happens to you, DO NO pick up the order, immediately call or chat with customer support, I believe stores are doing this on purpose or there is a giant glitch in their system, either way many people have been charged and do nothing, or are told it is too late after they pick it up, Buyers Beware.

Always clean. I feel comfortable shopping here. I love the Vons app and the rewards. The fab 5 and those prices are great as well.

Some of those issues they fixed quickly so I added stars (bakery still needs work on cake making & stocking fresh baked cake options). However the isles on the other side of the store are now some 60ft long and we can't get out of an isle without walking completely from end to end which is crazy long for a grocery store and makes for crowding. I'm still somewhat avoiding shopping here much because of that.

The customer service lady was going to get violent over a return-The item had store name and perishable dates and was moldy-she should blame the packer not me.

The woman at the deli lied to me about the roasted chicken she sold me. She said that it was fresh, but when I got home I found out that it was so dry from having been under those heat lamps for so long that it was inedible. The chicken meat was actually leathery. At the checkout, the bagger looked at me as if I was a diseased monster when I handed him my clean shopping bag for him to bag my groceries. The cashier said that they only bag groceries if you buy their bags. Then she looked at my bag and said, "Cute bag, though." I HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED THIS AT ANY GROCERY STORE. THE EMPLOYEES AT THIS PARTICULAR STORE CLEARLY NEED TO BE TRAINED BEFORE BEING RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC.
