Yesterday I was walking my dog on a leash and were attacked by another dog that jumped his fence (6ft. tall). My dog suffered multiple wounds and my Vet bill was $1200. Animal Control person came all they did was to recommend we avoid walking by that area. Image that; telling a tax payer that it was best to avoid the area instead of removing the dog. The owner of this animal was supportive of this action as they themselves have called to have him removed unsuccessfully. He is a repeated offender .What is the purpose of this department? I suggest they create a portal of questions and answers to provide this type of response. Our tax money going to waste; infrastructure, salaries, doggy wagons, uniforms, fuel……. I have been wondering why are so many dogs loose and seemingly abandoned; could it be that owners are frustrated with Animal Control and just letting them loose somewhere in the city. This animal was rescued and adopted because he was abandoned. If you think that I am upset, I am not. I am very disappointed at Animal Control inactions and support.

These people are horrible every day multiple times a day I call about 3 aggressive dogs that come into my yard and lung at my child, wife and I every time we try to go out. They always sale they are sending someone, someone should be out there, Yada Yada ya. Lies!!! I have multiple pan cameras around my house and not once have I seen them "drive by". Must be nice not get paid to do a damn thing for the people that actually fun their paychecks. If they cannot catch dogs that are in the same place at the same time every day then what are they good for? This needs to change and you guys need to do your job!!!

Getting ahold of anyone here is a nightmare. Good luck getting anything taken care of as the response time is just as ridiculous. So make sure to have some type of videos or photos as the animals in question will be long gone by the time they arrive.

AWFUL service. These two cane corsos were running rampant around my neighborhood and were AGGRESSIVE. Called and was told someone would come deal with it. Waited an hour and a half before calling back. Then they told me someone would come back in 20 minutes. Again, I recieved no help. Now it's beyond me whether these dogs might go out and HURT someone because the control refused to act.

I just wanna say a big THANK YOU to all the staff that was doing the low vaccine event on June 22,2024. When my dog got aggressive on his first shot, you guys were very helpful and patient with him! I do sincerely apologize that he did it was his first time getting shots so it took me by surprise that he got aggressive but you guys handle it professionally and with so much patience!! I just wanna to tell you thank you so much! And also a big huge THANK YOU to Dr. Thomas Pierce who was also patient and kind even though he growl at him! Thank you everyone again! I truly appreciate it and once again I do apologize for my dog’s behavior. Recently called vv animal control about 2 pitbull dogs loose that charged at me when getting my mail and one got on front and one behind and were growling and lunging at me I couldn't move forward or back. I had every right to shoot them but instead kicked one in the nose and it bit the sole of my boot.I yelled at them to get back home, they didn't budge and thought that one was going to bite my face off and the other my legs but continued to intimidate them back home as they still lunged and growled. It finally worked slowly they moved out and I got my mail but I had been surrounded for about a minute and called 911 about the dogs. Their response was to turn on their police car siren behind my house and keep going never to come to where I told them the pitbulls were. How Unprofessional does it get with the Victorville police all they're about is playing games like the crybabies kids they really are. Don't waste your time contacting them.

Unprofessional, I am a teenager and I would answer the phone better than the receptionist did. She hung up on me today and left me with an unanswered question, she had told me there was no space for strays, but what am I supposed to do to help the dogs I had found on leashes and collars, abandoned. I had asked this lady who is apparently ungrateful for her job what I should do, she became quiet and hung up on me. Very unprofessional, do better.

It appears Animal control dont pick up loose animals, nor do they euthanized severely injured animals anymore. They would rather it suffer for hours before dying. I called and they said they no longer do it. I guess My taxes are being mismanaged.

Animal Control in VV is a joke. We have reported dogs being neglected and continuously barking over and over again. They have gone out to visit the owners and somehow side with the owner and do nothing about it.The poor dogs were left outside in the extreme heat in the summer. And, now, in the rain and high winds, the dogs have been left outside the entire time. They are barking continuously and the owners do nothing. We awoke to the barking at 430am. Really?

I’m just on here from reading all the reviews it is really sad but unfortunately the shelters r full they have no room there r so many homeless abandoned animals in this country and mostly humans r to blame for this. It is so heartbreaking and the puppy mills and the animal abuse we need more shelters one day it wil be so bad that when u drive u will be running them over but like I said the shelters can only do so much with what they have ??? people r dumping animals in the worst places ever and animals r dying all the time my heart is broken

Aggressive dog comes in driveway & try to bit my 4 year old, does not back down, called 4 different times & waited 6 hours, finally the dispatch says just go inside your house. Waste of tax payers money.
