Words cannot express how I feel about this clinic. Our 1 year old pup had an allergic reaction. Her face and tongue were swelling up and as soon as I brought her in and I gave verbal consent they had her in the back treating her. I’m so grateful that they were there for me and my dog. Rose was wonderful checking me in and Dr Pennington took care of my dog and pulled her through this. Can’t say enough.

We have been clients for several years now. We have several dogs and sometimes cannot get into see our regular vet. So thankful for Animal Emergency Clinic! Dr Edwards is so kind to our pets and takes the time to explain what needs to be done and why. If it weren't for Animal Emergency Clinic we would be forced to travel down the hill for after hours treatment. We will continue to take our pets to Animal Emergency Clinic and recommend them highly. They always take great care of our pups!

On 1/23/24 around 7:55pm our 3 year old chocolate lab, Aero, was hit by a car. She was still alive, no exterior injuries. My 15 year old son and I put her in the back of our car and immediately began rushing to “Animal Emergency Clinic," who opened at 6pm. On our way, Aero tried to stand in the car and was breathing only slightly irregular. I knew time was crucial. At 8:03pm I called "AEC" to give them a heads up we were bringing our dog who was just hit, as vets commonly appreciate. Immediately, without asking further questions the receptionist said “no, you can’t bring her here, we wont be taking her, We cannot take anymore.” I asked her how she could deny us when they have only been open two hours, our pet was in critical condition, and they were the ONLY emergency center within a 50 mile radius. She repeated coldly that they would refuse us service. I begged her to see us and she adamantly kept saying “we are not taking any patients. Go to “Animal Medical Center” in Hesperia. I quickly turned around to head in the opposite direction and called the facility she recommended, who also refused to help us, stating when I called them at 8:08, "were closing at 9pm so we cannot see you." We had no choice but to rush as fast as we could to another vet who was 50 miles away.Unfortunately, 55 minutes AFTER calling Animal Emergency Clinic our dog passed away in my sons arms in the backseat of our car on the highway. When I called and spoke to the manager the next day I asked what would have happened had we brought our dog there anyway. He said, "we would have brought her in and stabilized her until we could transfer you." This is what should have happened to begin with! Furthermore, majority of the patients they had when I called were not life threatening; hence our dog should have taken priority as critical care. The violation of their oath, cruelty, and lack of care contributed to the inhumane and wrongful death of our beloved dog and traumatic experience we endured. To your statement below: Truly shameful response. To say I thanked you is absurd and dumbfounding. Thank you for what? I will and would never thank you for that night. Your office refused to even attempt to help, instead immediately rushed to pawn us off on someone else. Someone else who you yourself said you had endless horrible reviews! Manipulating my words to make yourself look better instead of holding your staff accountable compounds the lack of integrity. Twisting my words to say that I said I understand?! No, I do not. Your office is not run the way you advertise on your website, quite the contrary. I understand we need more PM emergency facilities in the High Desert. But the real need is a facility who actually WANTS to help others. Who is who they say they are and who is willing to competently do their job! And that is all that I understand about this situation. Of course you had other pets during our emergency, it’s an animal facility. I don’t expect you to treat our dying animal before another, but not all the animals in your care were dying that night; mine certainly was. You acknowledged this over the phone. Further, please define “avoidable” situation? What do you mean to imply here? And slander? Everything shared has been a fact. It would behoove you to rethink your verbiage. Finally, the stab you made at the end re: refusing service in the future seems almost ironic since that’s what you did to us Tuesday evening. Don't worry, we don’t have a dog anymore. But if we did, I would NEVER, ever, consider relying on you again. Shame on you. Very disappointing but not surprising response. Please note their website states: "These symptoms require IMMEDIATE care: difficulty or labored breathing, hit by a car.... We come in to work and save lives... well treat your pet like our own... providing emergency services isnt just a job for us, its a calling... please call us right away... we will assess the situation... IF YOUR PET IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION WE WILL IMMEDIATELY WORK TO STABILIZE YOUR DOG.

Dr. Pennington is AMAZING! We were enjoying Big Bear when Stitch got very sick. We drove down the hill to the closet 24hr vet clinic on the weekend! This place is fantastic. Summer checked us in and made us feel at ease when we were scared of what was going on with our fur baby! And then Dr. Pennington made us feel so comfortable leaving Stitch there for the night for treatment. She even called us in the middle of the night for a great update! Daniel checked us out the next day and he throughly explained everything. We would highly recommend Animal Emergency Clinic. Thank you again to all the great staff there!!!

This hospital and staff here are amazing. My baby got attacked by a pit bull and we rushed her in to get help. They were so kind and absolutely gentle with her. They kept me comfortable throughout her surgery and recovery process. She is alive, happy and healthy because of this office. I trust this hospital and staff with any of my animals medical emergencies.

I would just like to give a big shout out to Dr Michelle Turner, Brian and the rest of the team that took care of my dog last night. My dog Ahsoka was attacked by one of my other dogs yesterday. She was looking pretty rough when we brought her in. Couldn’t walk, bleeding from nose, lots of blood loss, very bad puncture wounds etc.. She was there all night, and we got thorough updates from the Dr and Brian throughout the night. I can’t imagine how busy it must be to be one of the only emergency clinics open at night in the High Desert. I was aloud to go in the back and see my dog a couple times last night, each time she was looking better. Now I’m no expert but I was raised in a medical family, from what I could tell triage here was spot on. When I came to pick her up this morning she was able to stand and wag her tail. They also relayed all the information from that night to a daytime vet to care for her during the day. She is looking so much better now and is walking and wagging her tail, As well as wanting lots of food!! Haha. The daytime vet even said we could take her home and we could have a follow up on Saturday! She isn’t out of the woods yet but she is a whole lot better thanks to everyone working last night! Thank you guys!! My family and I appreciate you guys so much!

Absolutely disgusting behavior from this clinic. How do you let an animal die with no compassion? TERRIBLE

They need to call themselves we will see when we feel like it. We don't care if your animal is struggling to breathe after being hit by a car. I hope you never have an medical emergency and if you do I hope they turn you away. I hope they are busy because they have lives too and need to go golfing. Go drive an hour away and let's pray you can make the drive as you die choking on your blood. Don't advertise to be an emergency hospital if your not. You were still open!

I would not give this vet even one star. Had a dog having seizures through the day. We waited 4 hours (we were the second person there when they opened) and still weren't seen by the vet. I was told that unless the dog was having an active seizure we were not an important enough emergency to be seen at any priority and we may be waiting all night as far as they were concerned. Rude as hell staff. STAY AWAY

It was a perfect experience as I was able to get the appetite stimulant that my dog needed to live. I had tried 4 other Veterinarian options and they each turned me down wanting testing and thousands of dollars. My little guy would've died in a couple of days of my visit here. The staff was tremendously patient and kind. The Vet himself "incredible!"Thank you for saving Gizmo's life!
